Our 1936 craftsman cottage is a beautiful quaint and cozy space for smaller families. It has a sunny full eat in kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and porcelain tile floors. Hardwood floors in the main living area, along with a full bath and laundry facilities . There are 13 steps up to the 2nd level which hosts 2 lovely bedrooms and a 1/2 bath in between. New portable a/c units are in each bedroom.
There are air filtration units that cleanse and purifies each level of the cottage - keeping the air crisp, cool and clean. ( same technology used on the space station)
To access the lower level rec area, and side bedroom, one enters through the door under the archway from the main level. There are 9 steps to the lower level exposed stone rec room. Watch your head as this property has unique arches and a more narrow entrance to the lower level. A family sitting area with a foos ball table and a side bedroom area with a queen size air mattress provides some extra space and an extra bed- just in case you need it.
The mature trees in the back yard provide privacy and shade- you will see the birds, bunnies, and squirrels. We love the back deck area- especially at sunrise.
A children’s playhouse, with a sandbox awaits the guests who have littles.
We love hosting this cottage and we hope you find your stay here restful and enjoyable.
P.s. Our cottage is within 20 mins to downtown Lancaster, 20 mins to Amish country, 30 minutes to Hershey and within 10 mins to route 222. There are farm markets, local grocery stores, and gas stations within 5-10 mins drive time. Sidewalk community, the Lititz walking/biking trail is within 1 mile. Local community park/pool is 2 blocks walking distance from the cottage.
The community pool is within 2 blocks walking distance. It has a children’s area with water slide and splash mushrooms/buckets, a larger swimming area and a lap pool at the lower level. Rates are posted on the cork board for guests.
Ask about monthly rates! We do welcome longer stays with a signed contract!

Peaceful Haven

This delightful cottage was a peaceful haven for us in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts have invested a lot of love and thought into adding special touches and providing a comfortable, immaculate cottage. We loved the treats and the fresh flower arrangements. Communication was excellent. We hope to return!

Peaceful Getaway

We were charmed by the cottage. We loved the private oasis in the backyard and the birds that shared our company. Every detail of the cottage was pristine, whimsical and welcoming! Amy was lovely to communicate with and took initiative to make certain all was well with our stay.

Great Cottage,with even greater hosts!

I had an amazing time during my stay in this beautiful home while visiting friends and family in the area. But I’m even more grateful getting to know Amy and Virgil. They are a the perfect host and even nicer people . I would highly recommend to stay with them while if you are in the area. I’m sure you will share my opinion afterwards!

Great stay

Very nice and very clean house in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the terrace and the cozy kitchen and living room. Restaurants and Walmart withing 10 minutes drive from the house.

Family trip

Originally from PA, we come back every summer for a quick visit. Amy was a great host and very responsive! We felt very welcomed with local goodies! Plenty of entertainment for the kids and a great layout for 5 of us! House was clean and comfortable! Park and community pool down the street was an extra perk we took advantage of! Definitely recommend!

Great stay!

We stayed here on an antiquing weekend and it was really perfect. Clean house, super friendly and helpful host, and amazingly comfortable beds! Slept like a dream! I want to come back with my kids bc it was a very kid friendly setup inside and out.

A nice getaway

I planned a getaway in Ephrata for my wife and my in-laws. The cottage was very nice, everything you could need for a nice weekend exploring Ephrata and Lancaster county. Amy and family were very organized and great hosts. I highly recommend you consider renting this cottage.

It’s all in the details😁

The hosts were amazing and had a wonderful attention to detail! We especially loved the welcome note and snacks they left for us and thinking of little extras in the kitchen, like ziplock bags. The home was comfortable and super clean! We did wish that it was a little closer to the main places that we wanted to visit but it is also nice to get out of the hustle and bustle area and come home to a more quiet neighborhood. AND there is an awesome community pool just a block or two from this lovely cottage!

Comfortable and relaxing stay while visiting family in Akron.

My adult daughter and I stayed while in from Wisconsin to visit extended family. My son also stayed a few nights. The house was a nice base for us. The deck and the yard are lovely and we appreciated the local treats and soaps provided. I liked the easy parking right in front and the quiet neighborhood. The communication was excellent and clear.

Coram Deo Cottage

My family and I stayed at the Coram Deo Cottage while visiting family for the holidays. This was my first Vrbo experience, and I was a little nervous about the process. However, before we even arrived, Virgil and Amy were very communicative throughout the process and stuck diligently to their timeline, which made the entire process organized and easy to follow. Upon our arrival, the cottage was adorably decorated for the holidays, and was perfectly clean and prepped for our arrival. Amy’s directions (which she sent prior to our arrival), were very thorough and clear, with no room for confusion. Almost every question I had was answered before I even had to ask. The complimentary food and drinks were well-stocked according to the descriptions provided on Vrbo, and were much appreciated by myself and my family. Overall, I couldn’t have been happier with my stay, and I would highly recommend the cottage experience to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Autumn in Lancaster

This was a very easy rental. Very clean and well maintained. Not far from Almish territory and way of life. Nice for a getaway. House has aspects of modern things but also still has aspects of traditional Pennsylvania houses. We had a very nice time here.

Clean cottage & great hosts

The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The hosts were very friendly and quick to respond with any questions. The cottage is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a few miles from beautiful Amish farmland.

Charming cottage with gracious space

This beautiful cottage was perfect for our family. It was instantly easy to feel right at home. The kitchen and downstairs bath were spacious! Communication with our hosts was easy and responses were prompt. Also, backyard and patio are private and shady. The Community pool (which is excellent) and the bike trail are both just blocks away so it was easy to use both. We even fit in Hersheypark-only a 30 minute drive! We loved our stay!

Beautiful Cottage in Prime Location

The hosts did a good job communicating and attending to our needs. They were quick to respond to our questions. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the decor. The place is very kid-friendly, without detracting from adult only accomodations. Convenient location. Short walking distance to downtown, park and pool. Lovely shaded, secluded deck and yard. Side note: We lost one of their butcher block knives. The hostess was very gracious about it. We would definitely return for another stay.

This craftsman cottage is very special to our family- . We have poured a lot of love and prayer into updating it at different seasons. It’s a reflection of our heart and love for Jesus and America.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Mature trees surround the back yard, trees we planted when we lived here. The back deck area is a sanctuary of rest during the early morning hours. You can hear birdies chirping, see bunnies hopping and squirrels scurrying up and down the trees!
