Oceanfront Tiny Villa in the Heart of the FL Keys

Summary:
Welcome to your happy place in the beautiful Florida Keys! Our oceanfront villa is located on Duck Key right outside of Marathon and next to the world famous Hawks Cay Resort. Halfway between Key Largo and Key West, it’s the perfect location to explore all our island paradise has to offer. Enjoy world class fishing, diving and snorkeling or kick back with a cold beverage and enjoy a stunning sunset on one of our covered porches. And always remember…it’s 5 o’clock somewhere!!

The Space:
Right when you enter the villa, you are greeted by an abundance of day (or shall we say sun) light. Downstairs you find the fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and everything you need to prepare a delicious home cooked meal (with all the world class dining options around you might not want to though). The open kitchen leads to the living room with rustic beach decor, ocean views, smart TV, games and covered porch to soak in that sun(-set). There is an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach or a swim in the ocean (which is right outside your back door) and there is a half bath downstairs. A short flight of stairs takes you to the master bedroom with separate covered porch and home office nook, a second bedroom with washer/dryer combo and a shared full bath.

Need to work while in paradise? We got you covered with a work station in the master bedroom and high speed Xfinity internet for those dreaded Zoom calls (just tell them the ocean in the background is fake!).

Guest Access:
You’ll have access to the entire house and front and back porches. There is plenty of free parking just outside the villa (no trailers allowed). For your and our safety, we have installed an outside camera next to the front door.

Our guests have direct access to the ocean for fishing, kayaking and boating enjoyment. The full service Duck Key Marina is walking distance from the villa and provides boat slips and trailer parking for a fee. Please check out their website for pricing and availability.

Bringing your EV? Don’t sweat it, the only Tesla supercharger in the Florida Keys is located just 15 mins from the house at Marathon airport.

The next supermarket is 20 mins away, but Instacart offers grocery delivery tight to your door step.

We are not affiliated with the Hawks Cay Resort and our guests do NOT have access to the hotel-owned amenities including the Coral Cay children’s center and pools. However, any resort amenity that is open to the public will be available. Amenities available to the public include several restaurants and bars, full service marina, Calm Waters Spa by appointment and Fitness Center available to spa patrons, Dolphin Connection by appointment, tennis, parasailing, fishing charters, boat rentals and a variety of water sport rentals.

The unfenced area behind the house is a shared common space and will be used by other guests as well. Occasionally, the space is used for wedding ceremonies.

There are several public beaches in Marathon.

Other Things to Note:
Responsible occupant must be age 25 years or older. If you are under age 25 you will not be able to book a reservation. Proper ID is required to book a reservation. The maximum number of guests is 4 and will be strictly enforced. Absolutely NO parties.

We take our guest‘s safety very serious and offer a full refund to our guests if a hurricane evacuation is required or suggested for our area. We do not refund for inclement weather related to hurricanes. In that case we recommend purchasing additional travel insurance.
Like many houses in the Florida Keys, our house has AC but no central heat. A portable space heater is available for our guests' use.
