Property was clean. Check in was easy . Pool , amenities , and fully stocked house made for a wonderful stay. Myself and 3 friends visited for a fishing trip with a 23 foot boat and couldn't of asked for too much better. Boathouse marina staff was friendly with gas ,ice , and cleaning table for fish. House was fully loaded with pretty much any needs. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
We enjoyed the lovely villa overall. It was well appointed and the location was perfect. Our boat access was perfect only a couple steps from the back door. It was a great time! Would definitely come again.
The property was great and in a great location. The only issue I had is that there is a fence between the house and the canal which made it where we had to walk in front of the neighbors house to get to our boat. We were aware that there may be an issue with construction on the canal but we never saw any one working on it. Other than that, everything was great. Also, make sure the marina has your info on your boat before you arrive. I sent our info in and it was not processed. Made the check in process for the boat a little longer than expected.
I visited this property with my family just before Christmas. House was great - clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. Easy assess to stores and good restaurants! Would highly recommend!
The property was as advertised. We had 5 adults, a 5 year old and a 2 year old. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location, quick drive to Key West, close to great restaurants and The Dolphin Research Center.
Great stay at Coral Lagoon. This is our 3rd time there and we will be back again. Everything about Coral lagoon is great, always clean, private boat ramp, trailer storage is right next-door at boat house marina and they are great to deal with as well, and best of all is having our boat right behind our patio in the canal. Great place to stay and Jessica was great with communication
Terrific 3 BR, 2 bath 2 story unit with covered porches. Nicely appointed, pool close by in complex. Someemo beach a 10 minute ride. Take a kayak trip.
This was our second stay in Coral Lagoon. #22 was perfect for our family. We love the outdoor space overlooking the canal and community. Everyone was very friendly. The house is a nice size with nice furnishings and decor. Plenty of parking next to house.
The property and grounds of Coral Lagoon easily rival any private luxury resort, with the added bonus of having your own personal boat slip right outside the door! Loads of seafood, cuban style, and taco restaurants within a short drive - nothing really in walking distance. Activities in the area include snorkeling, fishing, hiking and beautiful Sombrero beach. Not much "fun" shopping nearby, but a day trip to Key West definitely checks that box.
Great house to stay in. However, we had to keep our boat in a separate dock area. It was sold to us that the dock was right behind the house. However that is not the case. Our boat was one house down. We were told that the marina owns the dock space and people own the houses. But great home location in Marathon
Everything you might need but bring ALL of your own food and beverages. Coffee pot is there but no filters or coffee or sugar/creamer to be found. It deserves 5 stars but could be better.
House was exactly as described - very clean and comfortable. The check in process was easy - picked up a packet with a few essentials to get us going (soap, dishwashing & laundry detergent, etc) and our door code. House had all main supplies - pots, pans, dishes, Keurig, coffee pot, paper towels, tp, etc. Beds were comfortable and sheets were soft with extra blankets in each closet. Loved sitting on the porch in the upstairs master as well as in the covered porch off the downstairs family room. Wi-fi was reliable for all 5 of us and our multiple devices. Location was great and close to many wonderful attractions and restaurants. Parking right next to building was easy. Highly recommend!!!
Weâve stayed at Coral Lagoon 4 years in a row now, always a different unit. This one was by far the nicest and cleanest. My biggest complaint it wasnât disclosed there was an issue with parking our boat behind the unit. Apparently something happened weeks before we arrived and there was an issue with the seawall. Then the marina had no record of us coming so they were trying to charge us for a slip, but they ended up getting it squared away. It was pretty inconvenient to have to run back and forth to our boat. Also, while the kitchen has plenty of cooking essentials, plates cups etc. they didnât have any cleaning products, extra paper towels, garbage bagsâŠevery other unit weâve stayed in had that. Also, in regards to trash, the welcome packet Instructed us to put our trash in the outdoor receptacle and theyâd be picked up Saturday morning. There were no trash cans and of course overnight something got into the bags. Overall we would definitely stay again but better communication would be needed
Our stay was great! Beach towels to use and welcome package with starter items and a mini cooler were very helpful. House was clean, pool very close and nice but could use the pool deck swept or washed off every couple of days due to iguana poop. There is a pool bathroom but we were not able to utilize it because there was no code available to us (house is close so was not a big deal although it would have been convenient). No gas grills permitted but there's a grill onsite (I assume electric) that we never uncovered. The welcome packet given with instructions needs to be updated about what to do with the garbage and other information taken out about dropping off keys. There is a Kuerig and a regular coffee pot and enough dishes/glasses/untensils but beware there are no extra spices or anything extra of that nature. Also one of the master bedroom tv remotes didn't have batteries if it doesn't work for you they weren't replaced yet. All of this is just fyi for future renters and not really complaints... we had a great time. The Island Fish Co is directly across the street and a great place for lunch or dinner.
Marathon
Iâll begin by saying that this was probably the best vacation rental house we have ever rented.
â spotless on arrival. Exceptional housekeeping
â Low clutter house
â Plenty of storage room and hooks
â Washer/dryer were great
â Kitchenware is well stocked
â Loved that all food is removed between renters
â Close to pool
â Close to boat slip
â Ramp/gas on site are a big plus
â Pool towels provided
â Large porch
â Quiet location
â Trailer storage and valet is a plus
â Access to Atlantic and Gulf is very convenient
â House/Boat location is protected from elements - calm canals
â Central fish/lobster cleaning station is convenient and keeps smell/mess away from the houses. Freezing the carcasses is brilliant, too.
â Restaurants/retail close by
â We met several repeat renters - also a strong indication of a great property
â The dock manager, Debbie, at the marina is a gem! Super welcoming and a pleasure to work with.
â Welcome kit was much appreciated
In the not so great side:
â ice maker slow
â Freezer smelled like fish on arrival (guessing that other renters stored bait in there)
â Electric outdoor grill unusable as it kept tripping the circuit (possible due to rain?)
â Community garbage bins weâre almost always full
â Better communication prior to arrival would be helpful. We didnât know there was a ramp on site, gas on site, trailer parking, etc. didnât know we could request a slip in front of our unit.
We really enjoyed our stay at Coral Lagoon. We'd definitely stay again. There were 4 us staying at the property - my husband, me, and our two kids. It was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the welcome gift was some common household items like dishwasher detergent, trash bags, some soap, etc). It was thoughtful and needed since we flew down. The property was great. It felt tucked away. The space was perfect for our family of 4. There is a small marina right there. It was fun to walk over and look at the boats. The property was clean and everyone staying on property was mindful of each other and kind. There are only 2 things I'd like to note. 1- The trash situation was very confusing. When we arrived, we were given an information packet with an entire page dedicated to trash. However, it was irrelevant. There are not trash bins for your particular house. There are not trash days for your particular house. There is a large dumpster you walk your trash over to. This is not a big deal. It's super easy. But, I had to call and get an explanation on this. I didn't want to get in trouble for dumping trash into a dumpster if it wasn't supposed to be dumped. The dumpster is at the marina, so it wasn't clear. So, I think that page in the packet needs to be updated for Coral Lagoon. 2 - The master bed was extremely hard. Now, this is a preference. If you like a really hard bed, awesome. But, my husband and I both commented that we had to rotisserie ourselves through the night. If you're staying multiple nights, it starts to hurt. I'd give the place 5 stars if not for the bed. I'll give the place 4.7/5 since I know others probably like a hard bed. We loved the deck/patio area, we loved the windows, we loved everything else. We loved the labels in the kitchen. The place was truly clean - even the drawers in the kitchen were wiped down and clean. I would highly recommend the property.
This property was greatâ super clean, comfortable, excellent location. There were a few discrepancies between info we received from VRBO and what was in the house as far as check in / out procedures, but the host was super easy to communicate with about all of that. Weâd happily stay here again. Highly recommend.
Checking process was easy. Pool was nice and warm which was great on the cooler days. They provided basic supplies. Kitchen had everything you would ever need and more for equipment, dishes, etc which made cooking Christmas dinner for our family easy. Definitely recommend.
This place has everything you need. Bright, airy, comfortable and clean. Everything went very smooth. The little goodie cooler bag they give you at check in is adorable and useful. Highly recommend this place.
