Beautiful OBX "Seaglass" Cottage- Newly Renovated & Close to the Beach
Perfect OBX getaway! This 1966 "Seaglass" beach cottage is very bright and clean, and stocked with all you should need for a great stay! Located at milepost 6, between the beach and the sound, itâs only a few minutes walk in either direction. Beachside, youâve got the Historic Avalon Pier. And the bike friendly Bay Drive runs along the sound side. Enjoy the beach days, and then watch the sun set and the stars come out over the sound! Experience the best of both worlds, while also enjoying a family friendly neighborhood. The house features a chefs gas range and oven setup, and a large dining table. Thereâs a beautiful giant oak tree shading the backyard, which also has an outdoor gas grill, table, chairs, and hammock. Itâs the perfect setting to share with a few family or friends. The bathroom has a glass tiled standup shower as well as a jacuzzi tub. There are two bedrooms, both with queen size beds, as well as a full sized daybed in the common area. The house has AC throughout. We provide you with a cooler, beach chairs, and boogie boards to enjoy during your stay! We also provide you with the local knowledge to make the most out of your time here!!
This cottage is warm and homey with lots of spa like touches that make it perfect for a tranquil get away. Its close to the beach and sound and the back yard makes it feel like a cabin in the mountains. They thought of everything. Lots of little touches that made our Outer Banks vacation such a joy. We loved it:)
Super cute house that we loved just hanging out in! All the little details and colors were so great, and we loved the bistro lights in the living room and outside, the hammock, the cool daybed and most everything else! My toddler had a great time taking a bath in the jetted tub too :-) Only downside was itâs a little hard to walk to the beach across the busy street but parking at the beach nearby was very easy. Worked out ok for us with a baby and toddler. Great stay thanks so much!
Great property that is close to Avalon pier, beach, and restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
Inside of home was clean and exactly like the photos. Good amount of storage for clothing and for food was very nice. They have all the tools needed to cook which is a huge bonus. Linens, beach and normal towels were also provided which is great. Backyard is nice size and we enjoyed the hammock under the large tree.
Not mentioned in the description but there are board games for use in the living room hutch. We also found a beach umbrella out back that was broken but luckily we purchased one not knowing it was at the property.
We purchased a food processor and beach umbrella during our stay and donated them for the next guests to use on their stay.
Fridge ice maker wasnât working at the time of stay but owners provide bag of ice to compensate. Regular grill was also not working but they provided a small grill to compensate as well.
Overall, we had a great stay and would stay here again if we come back to OBX.
The cottage was super cute!! The layout is definitely strange as mentioned by others, but it works perfectly fine for a small group. There were 4 of us that stayed and the place had the perfect amount of room (2 couples). The hosts were super accommodating too, which was a plus! The kitchen was equipped with all the basics. The walk to the beach isnât far, but you have to be brave to cross the busy 4 lane highway. We drove to one of the public beach access points close to the house another day and weâre able to find parking without a problem.
Super-cute, bright, airy. Comfy beds, good kitchen and appliances.. As pictured. The layout was a bit quirky , but works just fine (great!) for a visit. Nice little house.
