Charming Farm Abode with gourmet food and access to lake, trails & farm fun
The charming "Innlet" is minutes' walk to a beach and dock on Lake Pattagansett or to seasonal farm animals or to trails through the woods. It adjoins the Inn at White Gate Farm and guests may book in conjunction with Inn guests or be completely independent. Prepare your own meals with our organic ingredients in the updated kitchen or purchase prepared meals, sourdough bread, pastries, eggs and more in the online store. On Saturdays the farm stand is open from 9 to 2 and on some summer Saturdays FarmFest occurs from 3 to 7 with live music, hot pizza and a raw bar. Guests can fish in the pond or lake or use the kayaks and stand up paddleboards, which are shared with other guests.
Adorable cottage on a working farm. The innkeeper was great to work with and his presence on property was very convenient. Place was clean and nicely maintained and appointed
Beautiful property. Wonderful to experience an exceptional organic farm with amazing produce. Loved the inlet. Fun to be there for their Farmfest. Saw hawks, bald eagles and osprey.
Lovely property and exactly as advertised. Canât say enough about how great Kevin is! We were there for the Blevins & Kerwin wedding - everything was superb. Just perfect!
My family of four decided to go on a last minute getaway over a long weekend and White Gate Farm could not have been a more beautiful place to do so! The farm (and the absolute bounty at the Saturday market) exceeded every expectation. Easy access to Mystic was a bonus for our family. The âInnletâ was comfortable and very well suited to our needs. We hope to return again soon!
Lovely working farm with chickens and lambs. Good farmstand on weekends. Our only feedback is the bed in the master bedroom could do with a new mattress! Overall a lovely stay, thanks to Kevin and Pauline!
Our family of four (plus our dog) really enjoyed our stay at White Gate Farm. The inn-let was cozy, but still quite comfortable with enough space to watch a movie together on a rainy day.
The farm was beautiful. Our dog enjoyed lots of off-leash time and all of us enjoyed the canoes and kayaks. The roads around Lake Paatagansett make for great running routs, especially if you like some hills.
Adorable cottage. Absolutely spotless! Peaceful & relaxing property. The farm stand is amazing, too.
. Easy drive to local attractions, Dinosaur Place, Mystic Aquarium & Mystic Seaport. We had a a great time and hope to visit again.
Very relaxing 2-night stay for single traveler who wanted to poke around the shore-line towns. Super clean. Was able to walk around the farm and to the lake, enjoying informal conversations with owner or staff. Great location for easy drive into the village of Flanders (great seafood!), Niantic (beaches & breakfast), and Harkness Memorial or Rocky Neck State Parks. Please note that the two bedrooms and bathroom are on the 2nd floor of the innlet.
We utilized this unit for extra housing for our friends who were attending our wedding at the farm for the weekend. The unit is separate from the main inn, however can be accessed from the Main Inn if you choose. Would definitely recommend!
We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the White Gate Farm. My kids loved the âcritter tourâ with Kevin. We were also there for Farm Fest that had wood fired pizza, live music & a family friendly atmosphere. Everyone we talked to was kind and helpful, including Pauline, and another employee Cory that talked with us on one of our morning walks around the farm. The only drawbacks were I personally prefer a softer bed (I purchased an egg crate and was immediately reimbursed), and we thought there would be double kayaks but there were only single and our kids were too young for that. Overall it was a super friendly, inviting stay that provided much more than just a place to sleep. Thank you!
Wonderful little addition to the farm property. The staff is incredible. The food on the farm is amazing, donât miss it! Staying here really helped us slow down life. Canât recommend the property enough!
The farm could not be more lovely or peaceful. My son and I had a great time exploring the property and visiting the animals. Hard to believe you are only a few minutes away from downtown Niantic. The innlet was cozy and clean.
Pauline's mother Ruth Lord purchased White Gate Farm in 1974. Pauline and her husband David Harlow moved from California in 2000 to turn it into a working organic farm. After Ruth died in 2014, they turned her house into an Inn and the converted ice house into a "Rustic Lakeside Cabin." They have just added the "Innlet." All three spots are listed on VRBO.
This property provides serenity, contact with nature and wildlife, a look at an organic farming operation and delicious prepared food. Special arrangements can be made for a Critter Tour, Astronomy Night, a Stand Up Paddleboarding lesson or Drumming.
