My husband and I stayed here, hosting our adult son and his 5&7 yo sons for frequent visits. This space is a perfect size for everyone to gather around the table for board games, to eat meals together without the hassle and expense of restaurants, to cuddle together while watching tv, and for the kids to play imaginary games under the table while the adults visit. We’ll be back.

It’s a great place to stay. Very comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood and parking was always available. Loved that you could walk to several neighborhood shops for food and coffee. Easy access to the interstate as well. Highly recommend to visit Mt Tabor Park that is close by.

A truly peaceful, serene cottage, perched in the hills above Mt. Tabor Park. It’s perfect for one person, or having a reunion with a best friend. The hosts are wonderful. I’ve stayed here before and I most certainly will stay again.

We enjoyed the quiet and garden-like setting of this space. The kitchen is fully equiped for cooking and baking, the bedroom and bathroom were comfortable, and the high ceilings gave it a spacious feel. Being able to walk to Mt Tabor Park was also a highlight, and we also liked the available street parking, the washer/drier unit, the AC unit, the easy check-out, and the sounds of squirrels playing on the roof. We slept well on the queen bed in the one bedroom and our teenage son slept well on the livingroom couch that folds down to a bed. Our other teenage son slept on the floor atop a foldable mattress that Diane loaned us - thank you! Note that this unit is not a stand-alone structure, but rather an addition attached to the back of the house that is occupied by the property owners.

We Loved this Place!

We've stayed in probably 35 vacation rentals over the years, and this lovely place is one of our favorites! It's spacious and well laid out, with colorful, warm decor. The bed is so comfortable, with great linens. And that garden! The photos online can't fully capture its beauty. Diane and Charley are wonderful, friendly hosts. We were greeted with fresh flowers on the dining table, and warm homemade granola hand delivered. What more could you want?!

This is a fabulous property. Two things stand out: the peaceful, beautiful garden setting and the cleanliness of the cottage. Diane and Charlie were always available to assist if we needed it. However, we never really needed anything because it was perfect.

Everything was perfect. We had a wonderful time using this location as our base camp while exploring the area. Everything was provided for our needs. Bed is comfortable and the area is quiet. Hosts were VERY helpful when needed.

This location is in a quiet, historic, established neighborhood, and has excellent access to the many amenities of Portland and its surroundings. It is a beautiful short walk to the historic Mt. Tabor Park and easy access to anywhere in the city or hikes in the Colombia Gorge. Only two blocks to a neighborhood coffee shop and restaurant and a few more to the neighborhood theater where you can see a movie for $4 and have a pizza & beer. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby along with city bus stops and MAX light rail access within easy walking distance.
