Cozy 2-story bedroom condo with an open living/dining area upstairs complete with a fireplace. Conveniently located around the corner from the slopes and a short drive to Fred's Mercantile and nearby restaurants, Beech Mountain resembles a Christmas town straight out of a movie. Nestled below Beech Mountain sits Banner Elk, which offers a variety of additional dining options. Besides winter activities, the Buckeye Recreational Complex on Beech offers amazing views from hiking trails around Buckeye Lake.
Great location very close to beech mountain. No sidewalks so beware that you will have to walk on the side of the road if you decide to walk. Otherwise, just a 2-3 minute drive however. Place was very nice and loved the bird theme!
We really enjoyed the place. Very cozy. Everything we needed for a great ski vacation. Very close to the slopes. I found the place even nicer than the pictures. The owner was very responsive to questions, and great to communicate with.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was as advertised and had everything we needed. We were here to ski and liked being able to walk 5 minutes to the ski lift. You will have to walk a little further across the slope if you don't already have your gear and passes though. We would stay here again!
The house was comfortable, cozy, and so close to the slopes! Due to cold temps, the lock froze, but the owner was AMAZING, responding immediately and made sure we got in quickly. Overall great experience :)
This is a nice condo to stay at if you are skiing, or just going to the mountains. It is comfy, has newer carpet, washer and dryer, everything you need. It is comfortable for three or four people, has a nice living room-dining area. If you have a problem or concern, Sandra is quick to get it resolved. Pleasant stay!
Everything was great! The location was great, close to everything. The property was decorated so comfy and cozy. It was clean and ready for use. The kitchen was stocked. I appreciated the property being and upstairs/downstairs condo like unit because you didn't have to worry about the neighbors. We had a question for the owner, and she was very prompt and communicative! Will stay again and recommend this specific property!
Great little place close to Beech. I walked right to the slopes in 5 minutes. Everything we needed except some sharp knives in the kitchen.
Super friendly neighbors were welcoming and even offered to lend our kids a sled. Weâll be back!
Had a great time staying at this cute condo! Location is central to everything, Sandra had everything you would need for a comfortable stay & was very communicative.
The location is exactly as described. Itâs perfectly situated close to places to eat and the slopes, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Sandra was a responsive and cordial. Even when a problem did arise she was quick to help and took care of our needs instantly. I would highly recommend this property to someone who wants a nice mountain getaway.
The unit was very nice and quiet. The communication with the property owner/manager was very good! We stayed for two nights and it was a very comfortable stay. I would have liked to have had more information available at the unit for the area but we did have internet so we were able to find places to go and things to do. We sincerely enjoyed our visit.
I grew up in New England where I learned to ski during my teen years before moving to Florida. I then skied at Beech Mountain a couple times during my twenties because it is the closest ski area within driving distance (11 hours). A few years ago, on my way to see family up North, I rented a cabin at Beech Mountain and the fond memories came flooding back. I decided then that my son should be exposed to the same happy memories I had as a child so I ended up buying a condo. Since then, my family and I have been making regular trips from Florida to Beech Mountain as part of our holiday tradition. (We also spend summer there!) While many opt for the snow, I have to admit that the summer season is my favorite on Beech! There is so much to do: ziplining, New River water tubing, hiking, white water rafting, golfing, Sunday concerts on the Alpen Inn lawn, weekend concerts at the Beech Mountain Resort, trips to Linville Winery, Grandfather Mountain, Land of Oz, and lots of craft shows and festivals, including the Highland Games.
I love this property! It is conveniently located near the ski resort (less than a half mile). There is also a road across the street that leads to the lower lift. My family and I walk it during the summer carrying our blankets and chairs over to watch the fireworks that are lit from the top of the mountain. During the winter, it's easy to drive the ski gear over. In addition, I have amazing neighbors and I like that there is nobody above or below the residence because the condos are side by side, with only 4 units to a building.
