Poston / Byers Cabin-Appalachian Ski Mountain-Walk à ski

Marche des pistes de ski et le patinage sur glace !! Ski nocturne !! Ceci est une maison de location de vacances dans les belles montagnes Blue Ridge en Caroline du Nord. Notre chalet à trois niveaux comporte des plafonds ouverts, planchers de pin, mezzanine, terrasse extérieure spacieuse et un parking privé. Parfait pour famille ou en couple (s). Nous sommes idéalement situés sur un chemin privé à Appalachian Ski Mountain, près de l'US 321, entre Blowing Rock et Boone. A proximité se trouvent Grandfather Mountain, Linville, Banner Elk et la montagne Beech. Notre cabine est facilement accessible depuis le Blue Ridge Parkway et à quelques minutes de boutiques et de restaurants. Informations sur les nombreuses attractions et événements de la région est prévu à la cabine pour nos clients.

En hiver, le ski de neige et le patinage sur glace sont à moins de 300 yards (distance de marche)! Il ya aussi le ski de nuit. Un luxe poêle à bois avec une vue sur le feu maintient la cabine confortable.
Au printemps détendre et profiter de la merveilleuse changement climatique.
En été, échapper à la chaleur et profiter des températures plus fraîches en montagne.
Automne feuillage est spectaculaire avec le Blue Ridge Parkway juste
minutes. Peu importe la saison, vous trouverez beaucoup à voir et à voir ici dans le Haut Pays.

Cute and great location

Very cute place and loved the location. Right in the middle of Boone and Blowing Rock. Loved hearing the train as well when outside.The only thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was having to mail the keys back and taking the trash to the dump instead of having the cleaners take it. The amount of beds was not as described and we were stunned that one of the beds in the listing was a day bed instead of a big enough bed for 2 people. Other than that, we did enjoy our trip.

Cute Cabin

Dated but very charming. Only complaints are trash disposal and key policy. You have to mail keys back to owner. You must dispose of all trash after check-out. Left on Sunday and trash dump sites are all closed on Sundays.

Comforts of home

Our family had a fantastic stay at this cozy ski cottage! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the slopes, which made it so easy to hit the mountain without any hassle. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the equipment we needed to cook our meals, which made it feel like home. While the house isn't extravagant, it was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The vibe was warm and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a laid-back, convenient, and comfortable base for their ski trip!

Great Mountain Property, Only Steps to the Slopes

This property is as advertised, within walking distance of App Ski Mtn. The wood stove is amazing and heats the entire living area very quickly, which is great after a day out in the snow. We came to visit my son who attends App State and this was a perfect location. We would definitely stay here again, when we vist. Only complaints would be that you have to deal with your own trash removal, not sure why this isn't part of cleaing fee, and you have to mail the key back to the owner. I have stayed in many VRBO's and have never done this before.

Cottage in the mountains

The cottage was very clean and cute. Very close to Appalachian State. We definitely would stay here again. The fall colors were perfect but would love to come back in the winter to ski.

Great location

Cabin was clean and as advertised. Third bedroom is quite small but adequate. Third bathroom is in basement so not the best option for the rooms on the main and second floor. Owner was very easy to deal with and communicated well.Great location. Old fashion key lock and only one set of keys so a bit of a hassle for a group. Would recommend a keyless entry lock.

Pick somewhere else

Worst experience we have ever had at a VRBO. Daughter’s graduation weekend, had to find another place immediately after checking in. Place was dirty, lots of ants and spiders and cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom, old and musty. There was no way we would have been able to get a peaceful sleep there. The pictures of this place do not align. The pictures of the upstairs bathroom two bedrooms share aren’t even posted on the site, that’s how bad it is. Owner started off nice with my complaints then obviously was offended and mad, then was very rude. Spent graduation dinner finding somewhere else to stay. Hate to be so negative but we were beyond disappointed. I’ve never written a bad review before. Hoping to save someone that frustration. We did end up getting a refund.

Great family ski getaway

This was SO close to App Ski Mtn front gate, absolutely adorable property. The driveway was a bit steep, but no issues for my small SUV. Conveniently located between two small cities for night activities and dinners. Would absolutely stay again! Great for the skiing trip.

Beautiful location but house needs some work.

The location and view were wonderful. The price per night was great. The host was easy to communicate with and responsive. However, the keys had to be mailed back and forth which was awkward and inefficient. The house is very dated and needs a deep clean with attention to details of cleanliness. The loft shower is essentially unusable because of the awkward shower curtain. Having to turn the water on and off in the basement as well as deposit our linens down there was creepy.

Great weekend

We had a great weekend at the cabin. It was easy to find, and an easy drive to Blowing Rock and Boone. Note: The beds are all twin/single beds except the one on the main floor. And the bathroom upstairs and in the basement are tiny. But it’s very nice having 3 bathrooms! The deck is lovely for enjoying coffee in the mornings

A nice stay in the mountains

We only stayed for 2 nights but enjoyed ourselves. The driveway is pretty steep so be careful. Inside, the house is on the older side but everything was in working order. The kitchen was well-stocked and had a little bit of everything. The beds, the main bedroom, and the "loft room" were comfortable. We didn't use the 3rd small bedroom or the basement bunk beds. The basement is a little creepy but we didn't have much need to be down there other than the arrival and departure procedures. We'd happiny stay there again and I imagine that if you're a skier, the location can't be beat. The entrance to the mountain is 2 houses away.

Great summer getaway

This little cabin was perfect for an end of summer adventure for myself and my teenagers. We loved the rustic feel of the house and the cool mountain temps. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, cookware, and dishes. The location is convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk, and we got a big kick out of hearing the Tweetsie Railroad whistle. Clear communication from the owner. Would definitely recommend.
