Tranquil Downtown Retreat - 4 Minutes to Aquarium & Coolidge Park!

Welcome to Sit-A-Spell! This cozy, peaceful home has all you need to relax while also offering several of downtown Chattanooga’s attractions within walking distance. Conveniently located down a tree-lined road and about a mile from Coolidge & Renaissance Parks, the TN Aquarium, and sunset walks over the TN river on the Walnut St. Bridge. After a good night's sleep, wake up with a warm cup of coffee on 1 of 2 spacious porches while you map out your visit with our helpful guidebook.

The space
It is our goal to ensure that your stay is as memorable as it is comfortable as you venture out into the little city of Chattanooga that we love so dearly.

Located less than a mile away from Frazier Ave, Sit-A-Spell is perfectly situated to allow all of the conveniences of home with your friends and family, with all that Chattanooga has to offer just outside your doorstep. Within minutes, you will discover many downtown and Northshore restaurants, bars, coffeehouses, local artisan retail, salons, day spas, galleries, grocery stores, boutiques, museums, recreational activities, and entertainment attractions. The hardest thing will be deciding what to enjoy first!

The home boasts a large living room with seating for all anchored around an oversized coffee table, perfect for a round of monopoly or a pizza movie night. Each of the four spacious bedrooms are well appointed with layers of fresh linens, ample pillows, ceiling fans, and blackout curtains to provide the perfect setting for a late morning sleep in, or an afternoon nap. Wake up refreshed and enjoy complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion as you get ready to venture out, or enjoy a relaxing day in. Towels and linens are provided, as well as laundry detergent and fabric softener, should you find the need during your extended stay. Enjoy your morning coffee with the rising sun filtering through the trees on the back deck, or enjoy grilling dinner and cocktails fireside on the front porch as the sun sinks down over Lookout Mountain. You may just hear the whistle of the Southern Belle as it idles down the Tennessee River.

There are smart TVs equipped with Firesticks in the living room, master bedroom, and bunk room so you never has to miss that new episode of your favorite show. No need to worry about streaming issues. Chattanooga is known for many things, with "Gig City" falling somewhere near the top of the list.

In the kitchen, you will find everything you need to cook a delicious meal, or enjoy one catered in. We provide a coffee station with a coffee maker and electric kettle, stocked with all of the essentials including coffee, filters, black tea, and sugar. Cooking essentials such as organic olive oil, sea salt, and ground pepper are provided for your convenience. There are two dining options just off the kitchen so you can choose to enjoy your meal seated amongst the large picture windows, or al fresco on the back deck.

As parents of three young boys, we know a thing or two about keeping kids occupied. There are games, puzzles, and toys to enjoy. The backyard contains a two tiered playground equipped with a slide, climbing wall, and two swings. There's a baby gate installed on the back deck for when you'd like to keep your little ones out of the backyard. We've provided a full size crib and a pack ’n play with sheets for each, a high chair seat, and kids plates, bowls, cups, etc. For your peace of mind, outlet covers are available, as well as baby gates that can be found in the mudroom closet just off of the living room.

The two driveways provide room to park 4 vehicles. We have a luxury laundry room equipped with a full size front load washing machine and dryer, a farmhouse sink, an oversized pantry, and a beverage refrigerator.

The front door of the house is accessible with an August keypad for self check-in.

Please note that a flight of stairs must be climbed in order to access the home. This includes the front entry to the main level of the home, as well as from the back yard to the back door entrance.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of an owner's closet in the upstairs hall bathroom.

One thing to note:
Our yard is fenced in, but is open to the next door neighbor's yard. They have two young children who occasionally wander over to play on the playground. They have no pets, so you won't encounter any animals within the fenced in yard.
