Family Fun Accueil Lakefront

Ce décor nord meublé et mis à jour à la maison d'été Lakeside Dr. est situé sur la rive est de sable du magnifique lac de l'Ours. Bear Lake est un grand lac tous les sports situé dans le coin nord-ouest de la péninsule inférieure. Le lac, propre et clair, au fond sableux, exempt de mauvaises herbes, est légèrement en pente douce et est idéal pour les loisirs en famille. Le grand quai avec des chaises Adirondack permet de soirées de détente en attendant spectaculaires couchers de soleil ou assis autour du feu de camp. Tous les conforts nécessaires sont fournis, y compris une cuisine complète, laveuse et sécheuse, télévision par câble, salles de bains modernes, et bien sûr, les jeux de cartes et Monopoly.

La maison est située à 15 minutes de la célèbre parcours de golf Acadia Bluffs et aussi les pistes de ski Crystal Mountain et du golf. Aussi proche de renommée Sleeping Michigan Parc national de Bear Dunes, Pierce Stocking Drive, et un certain nombre d'autres sentiers de randonnée le long des dunes et du Michigan rivage. Les bateaux peuvent être lancées à partir de la Bear Lake Marina. Mini-golf est à proximité pour ceux pas encore prêt à affronter les rigueurs de Arcadia Bluffs, et aussi kayak de rivière et l'équitation.
À l'automne, profitez d'une visite de la couleur de l'automne ou au week-end dégustation de vin à travers Michigans nord-ouest attribuent établissements vinicoles et les vignobles pittoresques gagnantes.

Sweet Up north cabin

Positives: Clean, great communication with owner, Bear Lake is great, dock is wonderful, great “toys” to use (kayaks, paddle board, chairs, tubes, etc.), water softener and osmosis system make you forget it’s up north water. Negatives: bugs inside, could use some basic updates (mainly windows - main reason bugs inside), carpet and couches could use replacing. Overall great stay and very grateful for the time up on the lake and at this cozy cabin.

Heather: Thanks for commenting on the good communication. I always appreciate that dialogue so that we can share some of our favorites day trips, restaurants etc.. We are so glad to hear that the family had such an great time at the lake house and beach. Vacations are for making memories. I also appreciate you noticing that we added the osmosis filter system. It makes having morning coffee on the dock close to perfect. Regarding the updating, I think we have a good balance of furniture style and comfort to allow our guests to relax and enjoy themselves. We strive to make sure our home clean and ready for each renter, including the carpet which is professionally steam cleaned at start and end of every season, and also maintained between rentals. We are not sure what you experienced with the bugs. Its never been a problem before so I drove up to review it. We didn't find any bugs, or holes in any screens, so I'm not quite sure what happened? The windows have been replaced at the back of the house, but the two bedroom windows that face the lake are the originals awning windows. We find that they will allow air flow, but keep out any driving rain that might occur while guests are day tripping. I think the original architect got that right! Thanks again for your thoughts and so glad everyone enjoyed themselves. Regards, - Chuck

Summer of 2019

We had a great stay in Bear Lake. The property was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items, and great lake "toys". Amazing amount of things to "play" with, from sand toys, kayaks, paddle board, row boat, inter tubes, out door chairs, fire pit, private dock. They even provided life preservers. The lake is fantastic: clear, warm water and a sandy, private beach and dock. Absolutely stunning sunsets seen from the beach and the living.room. The town of Bear Lake is a 10 minute drive; Lake Michigan is 15 minutes. Golf courses in the area. Crystal Mountain Ski area is 20 minutes away and has mountain biking and other activities.

Jane: Thank you for your kind review, and coming all the way from Austin to vacation at our home. We have many guests who grew up coming to Bear Lake, and others that come from around the country. You are our first Texas guests ! Our first impression when we bought the home was how beautiful the water is and the hard sandy bottom. And it heats up quickly in the summer. Our family loves it! ! I'm glad you had some beautiful sunsets to enjoy as well. Thank you for your additional text about how lovely and clean the house was. I shared that with my daughter who is responsible for many of the little details, and our cleaning help who are very good at leaving it just the way we want it for our guests. We are always pleased to hear that you made fond memories during your stay. We hope you'll keep us in mind if you're in the area again. - Chuck

Lovely sunsets, clear waters, comfortable house

We had a great vacation. The house is very clean and comfortable. The beach, dock, and lake are great fun. The location is good and Lake Michigan is a short drive away. I would be very surprised to see anything negative posted here. Thanks for sharing your vacation home Chuck & Lori!

Beautiful Lake, Beautiful Home

My husband and I stayed here while on our honeymoon this year and loved it! Very clean and inviting and an "upnorthy" atmosphere. We explored some nearby hiking trails (Old Baldy, for one) but spent much of our time enjoying the beachfront - swimming, kayaking and building bonfires at dusk (the sunsets were stunning!). We look forward to returning with children someday. :)

Beautiful Home - Great Fishing

What a huge surprise to see my map framed and hanging on the wall in your lake home. It was very special, thanks. Well we all had such a great meaningful time at Bear lake in your beautiful home. It couldn't have been better. My brother and I caught a lot of fish, most memorable were two large mouth bass over two lbs. each. My brother hooked into a great northern that bit his line into so we didn't get him in the boat. We each caught numerous rock bass and bluegills and some perch.. We took our catch to the Villa Marina Restaurant in Frankfort where they fried them up for us. They have that service right on their menu.(betcha didn't know that) It was delicious. Our family all had a great time at your place, it has such a warm feeling to it. I know it must come from the family that owns it. Thanks again

Could not have been better

We rented the Bear Lake house from July 13 through July 24 and the entire experience could not have been better. My wife and I were there for several days by ourselves and were then joined for a week by our daughter, son-in-law and the two granddaughters. The lake was warm and not too deep for the kids; we make use of the kayak and the rowboat (fishing with the 6 year old); and the location was perfect for trips to the dunes and for a day trip Traverse City. We did lots of bike riding and even managed a couple of rounds of golf at the Bear Lake Golf course, which is in great shape, inexpensive and located just down the road. The house itself was clean, well-furnished and the beds were comfortable, and the fairly large living room and family allowed us to spread out and bit and not be under each others' feet, which often happens in a condo. All in all a great experience and we al highly recommend it. In the words of our 6 year old granddaughter, "the greatest vacation ever."

Great Vacation

We actually just got back from our vacation. We really enjoyed Bear Lake. It has such a nice sandy bottom. We were blessed with good weather and made good use of the boat and kayaks and the bikes we brought for our enjoyment. Temperatures were in the 70s most of the time--just beautiful. You really have a very nice place for relaxing and enjoying the Lake. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful home with us.

Bear Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan and is situated in Michigan's popular northwest tourism area, close to the Lake Michigan shore, Sleeping Bear Dunes and all the other attractions of this vacation destination corner of the State. Bloomberg News refers to this area as the 'Hamptons of Michigan', and Good Morning America voted the Sleeping Bear Dunes area as The Most Beautiful Place in America. Not surprising since Michigan residents have favored this corner of the state for a long time. Because of its proximity to the Lake Michigan Dunes, Bear Lake shares many of the dune qualities with its hard sandy bottom. In spite of its size, the all sports lake gets little power boat traffic and is idea for kayaking.

The home is located on Bear Lakes beautiful eastern sandy shore. In addition to the great beach and quality of the water, the sunsets are beautiful. Families also enjoy sitting around the camp fire at the lake and waiting for the evening stars to come out. The house features a cottage style interior and has 3 bedrooms. The see thru fireplace is viewed from the Sitting area on one side, and the Living room on the other. In addition to the kitchen dining area, a smaller dinette area at the lakeside allows for quiet morning coffee chat, and evening card games while watching the sun set.
