Belle maison au bord du lac, vue magnifique, plage privée, quai, radeau

Réservation 2019 maintenant, nous nous remplissons. 60 'de façade privée sur le lac Lower Herring, une plage de sable, une descente progressive, un quai privé, un radeau de natation, avec accès en bateau (pagaie courte) ou en voiture (3 milles) à des kilomètres de belle plage privée sur le lac Michigan . C'est une plage vierge, privée et non aménagée sur des kilomètres, avec des dunes se fondant dans les forêts. La plage du lac Michigan est comme Sleeping Bear, sans les gardes du parc ou les frais. Jamais une foule et souvent jamais personne. Des kilomètres de plage ont été sauvés du développement par la famille Noble via le Watervale Inn. Nous louons uniquement à la semaine en juillet et août. Nouveaux kayaks, paddleboards, gilets de sauvetage, télévision, meubles en 2018.
Nous sommes 1/4 mile de la route pavée, très calme et paisible. Nous avons également un chalet de 3 chambres sur le lac à louer 3 portes (vrbo 398063). 10 portes françaises donnent sur le lac, planchers en merisier, comptoirs en granit, clôture de pont traversante moderne, télévision satellite et Netflix. Regarder carte postale parfaite couchers de soleil sur le lac soit. Nous sommes à 6 miles au sud de Frankfort, à 5 miles au nord de Arcadia.

Niveau supérieur a une grande salle, 3 chambres (queen, double, 2 jumeaux et une salle de bain 3/4, niveau inférieur a 1 chambre à coucher (reine), tanière avec gigogne (2 jumeaux) et un lit superposé (2 autres jumeaux) et 2 salles de bain.
Le lac Herring se connecte au lac Michigan par un ruisseau sablonneux peu profond directement à travers le lac.
Equipements: Linge de maison fourni, canoë, 2 kayaks, gilets de sauvetage, pagaies, cuisine équipée, cuisinière à gaz, four à micro-ondes, grille-pain, cafetière, télévision par satellite, Netflix WIFI, lecteur DVD / magnétoscope, chaises de plage, adoucisseur d'eau, bois de chauffage pour les feux de plage sur le lac Michigan, barbecue au propane, 50 DVD pour enfants et films pour adultes, jeux, table de salon avec 4 chaises.
Miles et des miles de rails aux sentiers de pistes cyclables dans la région, se étendant entre Elberta, Frankfort, Beulah et Thompsonville. Possibilité de location de SUP, de pontons, de bateaux rapides et de voiliers, directement sur le lac, à votre plage

A nice house in an amazing location

We loved our stay here with family and friends. House sits along the lake with glass doors and windows giving us a beautiful view of the Lower herring lake. We used provided kayaks, canoe and boat to go from the house to the Lake Michigan beach. Amazing part is that is it is private access with no one to disturb except Watervale guests. Pete was in touch with us during whole stay and gave a complementary a wine bottle.

Wonderful property

This is a great property on Lower Herring Lake with the ability to kayak over to Lake Michigan…which is beautiful! Kids loved the boat, canoe, kayaks, paddleboards, and floating dock. The house worked for us perfectly because we had six adults upstairs and all the kids downstairs. The downstairs level is chilly so bring extra blankets! Kitchen was fully stocked so we could make meals at the house. We would definitely stay here again!

Really good and could be great with fairly small improvements

This is a REALLY nice property in a SUPERB location. It lacks some attention to detail. (The sports equipment needs attention and the well water is horrible--the owner says he plans to drill a new well and add air conditioning for next year. A sliding screen door needs replacement, etc.)

Replacing water softener and iron removal systems this wk at a cost of $4,219. Water is safe just full of minerals. My apologies for the system fail, a new well may or may not solve it, so we're replacing. Didn't know about the screen, on the case, kayak seat as well, fix in work. Thanks.

Very nice place.

If you’re particular about a place being clean, you’ll be happy with this house. Nice clean bathrooms and kitchen, plenty of towels and nice thoughtful things like fans and space heaters. (We used both) There’s a nice selection of boats to take out onto the lake. The kitchen has everything you need for meals. Unfortunately for us the wind and rain didn’t stop for most of the week. We took advantage of the short periods of sun to visit the private beach. It’s beautiful so definitely don’t miss it. There’s not a bunch of fussy rules or creepy locked doors. The owner makes you feel like he’s glad to have you. We would definitely stay here again.

Great home & location for family vacation

This is our second time staying at this property on Lower Herring. We are an extended family of eight adults and two toddlers. Pete’s communication is quick and thorough, when needed. There were plenty of comfortable beds for all of us. We really appreciated the cute cottage style bedrooms, new linens and lots of dresser space to unpack. Since the last time we stayed at this property, the bathroom upstairs has been completely updated. That was such a nice surprise! With three full bathrooms, each family got to choose their own. The kitchen is fully stocked with a gas grill on the upper deck for easy grilling. We took advantage of all the different recreational boats that are available at the property. Some of us paddled across the lake to Lake, Michigan a couple of times, which is our favorite thing to do on Lower Herring lake. We also rowed the row boat out and fished a few times. Great place and highly recommended.

Our New Happy Place in Northern Michigan

This was our first time staying in Arcadia and on Lower Herring Lake and it did not disappoint. We have stayed on Crystal Lake, but always had to cross the street to our cottage and trips to Frankfort take longer from Crystal than from this cottage (which surprised us). This cottage is right on the water with a decent sized beach/ (rare on many lakes in the area) and a huge lakefront yard for family games (we brought our own lawn games). You are provided with many poaddleboards, kayaks and a canoe to provide hours of lake fun! The house layout was perfect for us and everyone commented on how comfortable their beds were! 3 full baths was a big plus. Kitchen was equipped with enough plates etc to feed a huge group. One small issue was that our group was 7 adults and we had to pull seating from an outside deck table to eat together at the dining table together as it only seats 6. We will definitely come back!

Arcadia 8/28 to 9/4 2021

Very easy check in. The house was beautiful and very clean. Kitchen was stocked with whatever you need for utensils and pots and pans. The view from the living room and deck were beautiful and stunning. Plenty of bedrooms and baths for our large group. Very peaceful and relaxing area around the house. The location is close to so many places to visit and shop. Also some outstanding restaurants in the area! We took many walks along Lake Michigan over to the outlet from Lower Herring Lake. Sunsets were outstanding and relaxing. We created many memories and will definitely be coming back!

Lovely lake with access to Lake Michigan. House needs cleaning.

We enjoyed the lake and the access to Lake Michigan and Frankfort. We also liked the firepit and the many boats available for use. The house, could have been very nice, but it was dirty and the lower level musty. The carpet and bedspreads were stained. The beds in the open area in the basement were uncomfortable and we feared that the bunkbed would collapse, so we needed to rent a hotel room in Frankfort to accommodate our family.

1. $300 professional cleaning, have receipt. The house was clean except staff forgot dish towels, which I dropped off right away. 2. Guests cranked AC to 66 degrees, then opened doors on the the lake, warm, saturated air caused condensation on the tile. 3. Children's bunk beds not intended for a 240 lb adult. Bunk beds are gone because they broke them. The sleeping arrangements are accurately described.

Great weekend away

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The property was clean, and the view was amazing. The neighbors were friendly, and the area was very quiet. It was nice to have equipment for the lake to go paddling and check out the area. There was a nice small beach area right at the house that the kids loved to play in. Short drive to food and other needs, the food in the area was delicious. The inside of the house was nice with all the cooking items we needed for the weekend, the layout of the house is great for having a family and being able to socialize still while cooking or at the table. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we are in the area!

You just cannot beat the location of the house. The view off the patio is amazing. We spent most of our time on kayaks going to the outlet to Lake Michigan. Cannot say enough good things!!

Perfect for family vacation

Very impressed with this house. The location right on Lower Herring offered our family (including 10-17 year olds) a lot of fun with swim raft, kayaks, and SUP boards. Very private, wooded location with a fantastic view. Our favorite thing to do was to visit Boo Hoo sand dune and the outlet into Lake MI. Home was fully stocked, clean, and as advertised. Plenty of sleeping room and the kids area in the lower level was a hit. The owner has great information about the area and centrally located to many things. Lots of hiking nearby, jumping off the pier in Frankfort, and of course excellent beer/pizza @ Storm Cloud. Loved our stay and we had a great time. The only thing I would like to see added is central air as we had some unusually humid nights and the house was “sticky” but the lake breeze was very nice. We will definitely return. Thanks Peter!

Great location

We loved our stay here! My family golfed at Arcadia bluffs and visited Frankfort town. It was a great location, gorgeous lake, clean house. Peter was very easy to get ahold of, and helped us reschedule from our previous date, due to Covid. Will definitely be coming back

We enjoyed our stay

Very nice and adequate for our ladies weekend. The only things we noticed were a fruit fly issue and slats on lower bunk are broken.

Thanks, we did not know about the bunk bed slats, replacing them today. Once notified about the fruit flies I stopped by promptly to treat the sink drain with booking water and vacuum up the fruit flies.

Excellent stay at a beautiful location!

Our stay at the end of September was amazing! The cottage had excellent amenities and comfortably housed our group of seven. The beachfront on Lower Herring Lake was sandy and shallow making it perfect for kids. We also enjoyed the private access point on Lake Michigan that provided beautiful views and decent beach combing for Petoskey stones. Frankfort was an easy drive (10 min) and had groceries, bait and tackle, and good dining options. The homeowner also responded quickly to any questions we had. Looking forward to returning in the future!

Beautiful water view and stunning sunsets!

Pete is a gracious host ready to make your stay comfortable. Close to quaint Frankfort with its nice beach, food and shopping. We had 8 in our group and there was room for everyone. It was uncharacteristically hot during our week, so it got a bit hot in the house. Fun to open all the windows and doors and hear the birds and the breeze rustling in the leaves.

Awesome for multi generational family vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at the beginning of June. Lots of beds to easily sleep everyone. Loved the private beach! Comfortable for everyone...from great grandparents to toddlers! Pete was very responsive to any requests we had. Looking forward to returning!

Our Family Reunion

What a perfect place for our family to spend time together! Beautiful, clean, spacious gathering area, everything you could possible need in the kitchen, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for all the kids and grandkids, and of course the gorgeous view and sunsets every evening. Lots to see and do in the area too. Everyone had such a great time. We can't wait to come back again!
