Delightful space

Great place to stay. Very bright and filled with light, despite being a basement apartment. Generally quiet, though occasionally get some heavy footfalls from above. Very comfortable king bed, with an extra bed in a separate part of the apartment. It is especially well-appointed with appliances--full stove/oven, air fryer, microwave, toaster oven, Nespresso machine, water filter pitcher, and small fridge. Location is the best asset. Is in a quiet, safe neighborhood, and close to all kinds of restaurants and stores, pharmacies etc on Broadway, as well as close to Lincoln Park and the lakefront. It would be easy to get around on the many buses and nearby subway lines, and so you don't need a car. If you DO have a car, it can be difficult to find street parking in Lakeview--might be better to find paid parking nearby. Overall, we really liked our stay, especially the location, and we would be happy returning here in the future. Was very easy to communicate with Agnes.

Perfect little stay-away

Agnes was the perfect, most accommodating host. The little lift (basement) is decorated so cute, so clean and in the perfect location. Will stay here again if we need a place in Lakeview East.

Amazing place! Best we have ever experienced! We are grateful! Very classy of host to provide so many amenities and classy touches! Express 146 bus nearby zipped us downtown via Lakeshore Drive. Excellent neighborhood has so many restaurants within a couple blocks!

Fabulous Stay in Lakeview

We thoroghly enjoyed this apartment - spacious, very clean, well-appointed, and in a beautiful neighborhood for our siblings’ trip to Chicago! And our host, Agnes, could not have been more gracious. Cannot wait to visit again.

Wonderful, well located property with incredibly responsive host

What a lovely, open basement apartment that is exceptionally well lit, well equipped, and homey. This neighborhood (Lakeview East / Boystown) has a shortage of hotels, and finding a spacious VRBO just 2 blocks from the lake was an unexpected, delightful surprise. Agnes, our host, was immediately responsive from our first inquiry, and our entire stay was smooth and wonderful. We stayed for a week, and so she even offered us access to her washer / dryer halfway through our stay for our clothes and towels. Street parking is in high demand, but you can find it nearby if you are patient. We parked our car once and walked or used easy nearby public transit all week. We also bought groceries and cooked quite a bit in the phenomenally well equipped kitchen, as well as utilizing Grubhub for a variety of great local delivery options. Many thanks to Agnes for a delightful summer getaway with the best host experience we’ve ever had.

Perfect Place

This was the perfect spot to land in each day after adventures in Chicago. Comfortable and cozy. Agnes is an amazing hostess and very responsive any time we reached out. Located just off Broadway, so many good shops and restaurants. Then just a few blocks from the lake and a gorgeous park. Highly recommend!!!

Zero complaints, perfection of this is the area of Chicago you want to be in! Large, two sleeping places, clean, beautifully decorated, and very quick and easy check in and check out process! Highly recommend.

East Lakeview Luxury

You can purchase one of the few free-standing houses in East Lakeview for millions of dollars or you can stay the weekend at this gorgeous separate apartment on the lower floor of one of those special houses. The house and the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous. The apartment is amazing with its own entrance, a beautiful open floor plan, super comfy living room and spectacular bedroom area. The neighborhood is just ridiculous, with the lake a few minutes to the east, Broadway a minute west and easy walks to Lincoln Park and Wrigley Field. Agnes, the host, is beyond nice and accommodating, even inviting us for drinks with her. This place is a must-do if you love Chicago, and, hey Chicago is the greatest.

Top Notch

This lovely basement apartment is even better than advertised. A spacious, smartly decorated, and well equipped space with a separate entrance--in a beautiful single family home on a lovely residential street. With local eateries, donut shop, coffee, etc. just a short walk away. There is no dedicated parking space, but it wasn't difficult to find street parking. When we noticed a water problem in the apartment on our second day, which was related to the torrential rain that weekend, our host Agnes was extremely responsive and equally generous in compensating us for our inconvenience. We would happily return to this charming property!

Weekend Getaway

Agnes was super nice and understanding. Everything was super easy and accessible to cook or do anything as if I was in my own home. It is such a nice neighborhood and I happened to be there during their dine-out weekend on Broadway. Super fun and beautiful weather!

Delightful Chicago experience!

We had the most amazing visit in Chicago! Lakeview East was a quaint, friendly, safe neighborhood with easy access to other parts of the city using CTA and also walking. The property acceded our expectations! Our family of four had ample space. Property manager was accessible and incredibly helpful with recommendations; beyond hospitable! If and when we return to the Windy City, no need to look for any other properties.

Perfect weekend

This unit was perfect for our family looking to spend a weekend in Chicago. Location is great near the water and short walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Plenty of space and amenities and great communication from the host. Checking in and out was really easy.

So restful

The space was just as described. The entry was easy and secure, the noise level quiet, the bed very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. My only advice is that if you are getting a rental vehicle for driving while here do not get a large car/van. The parking is parallel street parking and everyone parks very tight. A large car will either get locked in or not fit in.

We absolutely adored this location. It's a basement, but was kept very warm and cozy. The details are fantastic, the bed was comfy, and our family of three felt very at home. Anytime we needed anything, there was a quick and helpful response. The neighborhood is vibrant and close to the lake. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

The best welcome ever!

Agnes is a dedicated host who is attentive to her customers' needs. She went out of her way to make our stay very enjoyable. The place was spotless, warm and cozy. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped. A wonderful stay in a vibrant neighborhood.
