We had an excellent time staying at this property. The apartment is clean, had everything we needed, and is in a great location close to transit that brings you directly downtown or to OâHare. The host was very friendly and even left us with a little welcome gift. I would definitely recommend staying here!
A fantastic place to stay in chicago. A short walk from everything you need. Including public transit. Very clean and cozy. Plenty of space. Bright and colorful. Would stay again no question.
Nice 2 bedroom place. As one has probably read the bedrooms are very small, but the beds are great. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were newish and top notch. Living room and tv were nice. Bathroom has a teeny sink, but given the age of the building (late 1890's) it's understandable. Loved being across from the Chipp Inn (the second oldest bar in the city!) Did not experience any noise from there at all. Great prices and nice locals. We did not have a car and had groceries delivered from the local Jewel-Osco market. The street behind the apartment has lots of shops and restaurants which we unfortunately didn't discover until the day we left. (our fault). You will enjoy your stay here.
My husband and I along with my in-laws stayed at Cherylâs place for two days while visiting Chicago. We loved exploring a new neighborhood, felt very safe, and the place was clean and adequate for four people! Cheryl left us water and a bottle of wine to start off. She also helped us with guest parking permits. The rooms are bit small but the space is tidy and perfectly manageable for a short stay. We would come back again! Thank you Cheryl!
I stayed here with two friends for long weekend. Cons: the pictures listed omit how tiny the bedrooms (if you want to call them that, one doesnât even have a closet which makes a bedroom a bedroom legally) are. Also the AC is only three window units, bedrooms were still toasty due to them not working that well. The bathroom is comical, the sink which is obviously not pictured is the small thing Iâve ever seen, you canât even brush your teeth in there, had to use the kitchen sink. Also the owner tried to look nice and leave us a bottle of wine but there was no opener so had to buy one. But here is the MAIN ISSUE: the coded lock to get in the door was broken for over a full day. You couldnât get in or out. Major problem with safety. Pros: Living room has space for at least 4 adults to hang, everything was clean, location is great.Overall, was not worth 1k for 3 nights for us.
Stayed in Chicago over a weekend to see a concert and spend the anniversary with my Wife. The host of this Vrbo was kind enough to leave us a bottle of wine.
We were quite comfortable with the short time we stayed. The coffee and water were a very thoughtful gift. The blankets and towels were plentiful. The host was very thoughtful when she saw we were traveling with a toddler and gave us a folding sleeping crib.
Close to Everything, short 1&1/2 block walk to bus stop. Host was great with communicating with us. Clean and inviting! Great decor! Safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!!! Bonus was the Chipp Inn tavern across the street.
Check in and out was super easy. Is great location for The Salt Shed, and downtown is a short ride or slightly long walk depending on destination. Bed was comfortable and space was clean and well appointed. Host was so kind to have wine and bottled water available in the fridge. Would stay agajn.
Apartment was in a good location for us visiting friends in Bucktown but also spending our evenings downtown. Great coffee shop around the corner. Easy bus transportation close by. The living spaces were great - living room and kitchen. Clean, comfortable, all the amenities. The host even left us a bottle of wine and some waters, which were very lovely. The bedrooms, however, are tiny. Perfect for me and my one friend so we each had own room. But for two couples, I think this would be very difficult sleeping arrangements. There is barely any space in the bedrooms to move at all and only enough space to keep one suitcase accessible. And the bathroom is also tight. Shower is ok but the sink set up makes it impossible to brush your teeth or wash your face. I ended up using the kitchen sink for all my bedtime routines. And given that the apartment is really only conducive to 2-3 single sleeping adults (I believe the couch can be used to sleep), it was pretty pricey for the space. There might have been a premium on the weekend we chose because Iâve seen it advertised for less, but we paid a lot considering. Also, the host was very slow to respond if she responded at all. We didnât need anything crazy - no emergencies, etc, but the lack of response was not what I normally experience from my hosts. Overall, Iâd say decent option for a couple of single friends if you book it during a price drop and arenât a needy guest.
