The Anna Maria Island Get-A-Way at Bradenton Beach is a 4-minute walk to the beautiful sugary sunset beach. Relax in this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom located in a quiet section of Runaway Bay. Unit 280 sits a few steps away from heated pool with no street traffic noise. The enclosed lanai balcony overlooks the scenic lagoon pond. The kitchen opens up to the dining/living room with beautiful tile floors in kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs!
All beach and pool needs are included: four chairs, beach towels and some toys for the kids. Runaway Bay has the largest heated pool on Anna Maria Island with tennis court, pickle ball, workout/gym room and party room. The large fishing pier on the bay and closeness to the beautiful beaches on Anna Maria Island make this ideal for a family vacation or a romantic getaway!
NO CAR NEEDED! Leave your car in one of the two covered parking spaces and walk or take the free trolley up and down the Island exploring sunny beaches or unique beach watering holes and restaurants. Included are 4 beach/pool towels, 4 beach chairs, beach toys for the kids.

Pharmacies & grocery stores are on the island (Instacart delivery is available from Publix grocery store). Very nice condo seamless stay great location but a little further than we thought to walk but overall an easy walk to the beach. Pool never crowded. Couldn’t have asked for anything better with short notice of a couple of weeks.

Home Away From Home

The condo accommodated two couples very nicely! Everything from cleanliness, decorating, communication and location was excellent. It was an easy walk to the beach and we also enjoyed the nice pool.

Very Nice Stay

The condo was very nice and had everything that we needed. The overall property was well kept and a good location to be able to get to everywhere on the island and Bradenton. Beach access is right across the street and easy to access. Our dog passed away just before traveling, but I can recommend this condo for anyone traveling with pets.

Nice location!

I stayed with my family of 5, which includes 2 teenage boys, and the size was perfect. We didn’t feel like we were constantly on top of each other. Short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shopping! Would absolutely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay. The condo is close to the beach where we spent most of our time. We used the pool one day and it was warm and clean. The complex is quiet and people are friendly. We will be back.

Very spacious, clean and everything we needed to make for a wonderful vacation. Very quiet location. Great communication with owners. Our second day the beach wagon broke and they had a new one delivered right away.

Not happy

Rented an upper unit , lower units were all destroyed from hurricane. Noise and construction everywhere, had to park a long way from unit because of construction equipment, Pool was broke , was vacation from hell . Left three days early because of workers on the roof above us . Owner gave us ten percent off . Not nearly enough discount, never again .

When you booked on Feb 20, 2025, our VRBO listing in Dec 2024 clearly states in the first paragraph: "IMPORTANT: Runaway Bay has ongoing construction occurring due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Amenities, such as the pool, shuffleboard, tennis/pickleball courts, the exercise room, and fishing pier are currently closed and unavailable. Parking, at times, is limited due to contractors performing repairs. Our unit is available, and the price reflects the current limited amenities and construction. Please reach out to us for more information.” (We recently updated the listing as the pickleball/tennis courts have recently opened.) We also encouraged guests to reach out with questions. Other guests, including one who stayed just before you, appreciated the communication and left positive feedback, noting the construction but praising the unit and community recovery. In their 5-star review, they share "...great place obviously under construction after the 2 hurricanes 6 months ago but still better than expected. great to see the island bouncing back. see you next year. Thanks.” Our unit remains clean, fully functional, and was undamaged. The HOA controls amenity reopenings, not us. We reduced our rates accordingly and even offered you an extra 10% discount. We regret your experience, but your 1-star review overlooks the clear and honest information we provided. 2nd time visiting AMI

Our trip was amazing ! The condo was great! We did have a couple of unexpected guests (2 lizards and a huge bug) but that's one of the things that happens in Florida we've learned 😉 The condo was clean and we loved the decorating. We are definitely making AMI an annual trip and we would love to stay in the same place again if it's available.

Tim and I grew up in Bucks County, PA where our family of ten (7 boys and 1 girl) spent many summers vacationing in Avalon, NJ. Our parents provided a great setting for great memories spending long summer days at the beach. When Tim and I visited Anna Maria Island in early 2022, we felt like we found the perfect place to again create great memories with our families. We are glad to provide a place for you to create those special moments with your families.

Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island is the perfect place to slow down for our families. Runaway Bay is centrally located between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intercoastal Waterway/Bay allowing for easy access to beautiful water. Runaway Bay has great amenities for young families and couples looking to step away for a short retreat. The pool feels like you are at a resort. Being able to walk or take the free trolley to dinner, entertainment, shows, and mini-golf near Bridge Street was important for us. Spending late afternoons on the beach and having dinner with the sun setting over the Gulf is a perfect way to end the day with your family.
