We arrived at the property 10:30 pm after driving 8 hours to get there only to discover that the code we were given did not work. Fortunately for us the lock on the back sliding glass door was broken and we were able to get in. However then we had to put something in the track of the sliding door to secure it at night while we were there. I see there are other reviews mentioning this so I wasnât the first to call the rental company about this issue. The house is located directly on the beach which is great but be aware that the boardwalk in the pictures is no longer there and the ocean is much closer to the house now. Also there is a spot for a camper on the same property as the house. We were unaware of this when we rented and had people camping right next to us all week. I believe that needs to be put in the listing so people renting the house are aware of it. We loved the screened in porch but it was unusable when it rained because the rain leaked through from above like a giant shower head and there was about 1-2â of standing water on the deck even after it stopped raining. We had 5 adults and 1 baby-this house was too small for us. I can see 3 adults being comfortable here. There was hardly any counter space so we had stuff stacked everywhere and you canât really sit at the kitchen table because there is no room for your legs due to the sides of the table which are folded down and block you from sitting there. There are other issues but Iâm out of space to list them.
