Cute and cozy home near Duke and Downtown Durham in The Forest Hills area. Amazing restaurants just a few blocks away! Very convenient to Duke Hospital and Duke University. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome for a fee of $75/two dogs per stay. Sorry no cats allowed.
This charming home has 3 bedrooms (1king and 2 queen), 1.5 baths. Beautiful new kitchen. Great outdoor space. Fireplace.
Entire house.
I live in Durham and am just a phone call or text away.
Great restaurants just blocks away! Grub, Tyler's Taproom, Nana Steak, Tobacco Road Sports Bar all within 1.5 miles. 1.2 miles from Durham Performing Arts Center and 3.5 miles from Duke Hospital. Many parks within walking distance. Lyon Park is one block from the house. 1.5 miles to Duke East Campus and 2 miles to Duke Hospital. Great cozy home in a quiet neighborhood and convenient to everything!
Up to two behaved dogs are welcome for a fee of $75.00 per stay. No house parties!
The back yard can be soft if you get off of the rock driveway!! Do not pull around in a circle in the grass or you will get stuck. It is a pull in and pull out driveway only, not a turn around. Please do not park in the back if you are unable to pull back out. Early/late checkout-in/out possibly available for $50. No house parties and please respect the neighbors and the property. Please park behind the house or on the street (do not block the shared driveway).
Great house in lovely residential neighborhood. Close to Dukeâs campus. Stayed with our dog who loved the many parks within walking distance and the State Parks a short drive away.
Easy access, experienced professional owner, easy vehicle parking, close to Duke U and many golf courses. Great dining within minutes. Really comfortable beds and pillows. Great TV and YouTube tv access.
Location great, property very nice and house well laid out and very easy to be in and relax. Beds super comfortable and everything felt really nice which is unusual in a dog friendly rental! Super easy and clear check in process. Would def rent again!
This charming house is much bigger than it appears. Spacious bedrooms and great location made for a perfect stay! Lots of games and cute backyard too (no fence fyi if you are traveling with your dog)
The house was comfortable, very clean, with everything in working order. I appreciated the special touches for our dogs - a bed, blanket, and water and food dishes. We were only one block from our family who lives in Durham, and it was a great location for dog walking.
We came to Durham to tour some colleges and this house was perfect! Very close to Duke and lots of great restaurants! The house was nice and had all the amenities we could need. Excellent stay!
We traveled to the area as our daughter was having surgery at Duke Hospital. Andrea, our host was extremely accommodating to our needs. Our trip was longer than anticipated and Andrea was there to help us out each time. We could not be happier with this location and the great hospitality Andrea provided. This place will be our #1 with our next visit!
The house presents well with upgrades such as the gravel rear parking area, exterior paint, LVF flooring, and hand picked decor. The bedrooms are big, with comfortable beds. However, walking in the door you are hit with an unpleasant odor of mold/mildew covered with a heavy floral air freshener scent. The air freshener is so strong that it gives you a headache and permeates all your belongings. It has been two weeks since our stay and I still have clothing that I cannot get the smell out of. Itâs in the air and seems to be sprayed on the bed linens as well.
Overall, itâs a nice place in what I would call a transitional neighborhood that seems a little dicey in parts. The living room was uncomfortable, with a couch past itâs useful life and a that TV needs to be about 20 inches larger, but it was decent enough for a short stay. The bedrooms are the best place in the house and very comfortable if it werenât for the air freshener.
We were 5 adults that really enjoyed the space.
3 Bedrooms and 1 1/2 bath was perfect for us.
Close to downtown.
Great communication.
Great price
Great time
Such a cozy home! It was well stocked with everything we needed for a short family getaway (as well as the extras for my dog that made this place special). We are looking forward to coming back!
Nice home, we work out of town and spend a lot of time at the houses we stay at when weâre not at work so the small tv in the living room and not having a tv in every room was a bummer but overall this was a pleasant stay. We also had to go buy a pot so we could make some spaghetti, the kitchen was mostly stocked with pots and pans but nothing to boil a large amount of water for something to feed five hungry guys.
We had a great stay, visiting for the weekend from Texas for my nieceâs wedding. The house is clean and cute, plenty of room for us 2 adults and 3 teens, and beautiful, quiet neighborhood!
Perfect location close to downtown and Duke with plenty of space for our group of 4! Great communication with host- easy check in, safe lovely neighborhood to walk around in. Enjoyed our stay!
The property was just as pictured in the listing, as is the description. I don't remember if it was in the listing, but the single beds in one of the bedrooms is a trundle bed. Location is indeed a quite little neighborhood, not far from things to do. I recommend going to the Drake University gardens that isn't too far from there.
The full bath could do with a little bit of repair due to damage caused by water to some spots and flaking ceiling paint. There are probably people who aren't very careful or pay attention when it's not their home. Other than that it is a lovely house at a great price. So much more room than a hotel room.
Andrea's property was the perfect place for our family's quick week-end trip to Durham. The location is great, and there is easy to access to downtown Durham, a neighborhood grocery store, etc. The house itself was clean and well-equipped. We would stay there again without hesitation.
I am a pharmacist at Duke Hospital who stumbled into the world of property management and real estate. It all began when I started renting out my personal properties as short-term rentals. I quickly fell in love with managing properties and interacting with guests, which led me to obtain my real estate license. As my passion for this field grew, I expanded my services to manage other people's properties as well. The business became so busy that I had to reduce my hours at Duke Hospital to dedicate more time to it. I am deeply passionate about traveling and exploring different properties and areas, which fuels my love for this profession even more. I am dedicated to providing exceptional service to both property owners and guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all involved.
