Cute industrious style

Clean, newer industrial style, lots of space for a great price Hallway had a strong paint/ mothball smell. Elevators were not working. My son got stuck and had to get rescued. Lots of homeless outside, but they did not bother us.

However, we apologize for the issues you encountered. The elevator outage, which unfortunately led to your son getting stuck, I want to assure you it has been fixed and now functioning properly. We take situations like this seriously and work to ensure we give our guests quality and standard experience. I’m sorry that you were overwhelmed with the stain used to restore the hardwood. I can confirm that it's not any harmful chemicals or paint. The building is a historic building built in 1910 and the original wood floors were treated and restored with a stain that a few have been sensitive to. The Dallas city authorities have certified the air quality in the building. I recognize some people are more sensitive and does take sometime to get used. Had we known, we would have dropped off a commercial air-freshener to make you feel better during your stay. Regarding the presence of homeless individuals, I want to assure you that the area is very safe, as it is located directly across the street from the City of Dallas Mayor’s Office and the Police Department. This proximity ensures that the area is closely monitored, contributing to a secure environment. Additionally, we have implemented extra safety measures, including a secured entry doors, security cameras, and an on-site officer. I must add that the security and surveillance cameras are on 24hrs and constantly monitored. These are all aimed at ensuring your stay is both safe and pleasant. It’s worth noting that, like many urban areas across the U.S., downtown Dallas does experience some homelessness. However, in our experience, individuals in the area are generally kind and may occasionally ask for change for food or shelter but do not disturb anyone.

Even though it was hot!!

We loved Our stay!!! So much space and well stocked kitchen supplies made our stay very comfortable!! We brought our fans from Wisconsin as we looked ahead of time at the weather! I’m not used to triple digit temperatures but it was nice in the complex:). Only wish the pool would had been open as we all were looking forward to that… but the pump was out so no luck:( Have patients for the washer to finish completely…will state done. I initially thought my clothing was locked inside it but I was just impatient…. lol. Our hostess was prompt in responding to all our questions throughout our stay and there was parking right across the road for our second vehicle:). Only $62 for the 5 days! That was nice! I broke my mirror the first day and couldn’t find the broom until the last day…next to fridge:). We would definitely stay again.. with the hopes of the pool working:). Fitness room was great as well but the theater room wasn’t working due to a bulb being out…close to so many things to do! Thank you again for such a memorable experience!!

The online check-in did not work and the communication with the property manager was horrible.

We were unable to get into the building initially and each time we returned (maybe a bad code???), but at least there was a lot of traffic and we were able to catch the door to enter the building (which that in itself does not bode well for security). When (if) you could enter the property building it was dark and smelled. The second day our unit code didn't work and we had to wait to get a new code and for it to reset (not fun when your phone batteries were running low and you needed to go to the bathroom). The online check-in did not work and it was literally days that passed to try and get the issue resolved. Communication was slow and they didn't seem to have a way to resolve the issue. The only time the manager was responsive was to request payment! The unit itself was nice but very dark (even with all the lights on - the photo shows it so light and bright. The A/C didn't seem to cool as much as we would have liked and it got a warm during the night. Also, they should have a corkscrew in the unit (it's the little things)!
