Looking for a fun summer vacation on a 2054 acre lake? Now taking reservations! Balsam Lake, WI, just 1 hour from Mpls/St.Paul airport. 2800 square ft year- round home on the lake. Built in 1915, this home boasts of historical attributes such as the beautiful woodwork and exceptional spacious rooms. Many updates have been done which makes the house even more inviting! 8 beds (Sleeps 12 plus 3 couches). Loft/Game Room with Pool Table, Foosball, Darts, Pac Man and more!!
Pontoon rental available for $275/day plus gas. Please contact directly to reserve.

Excellent Fishing, Restaurants on the lake and so many fun things to do nearby. Visit Balsam Lake Connection-WI on Facebook for updates on local activities.
Please be advised that if I am not aware of parties bringing their own watercrafts, I cannot guarantee dock space. The large dock is shared with the Cottage next door that is also listed for rent. Each property has their own grill and firepit and the front and back yard is very spacious for plenty to enjoy lawn games. Paddle Boat and 2 Kayaks are also available for use.
Property is dog friendly @ $30/per night/per dog.

The best vacation

We stayed here for a few nights to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday and we will definitely be back! The porch/deck/back yard were amazing and perfect for our crew. Debbie was super responsive and such a wonderful host. Would highly recommend

Perfect for large groups

We really enjoyed our stay here, and the hosts were great! They accommodated 2 jet skis, a boat and 10 people comfortably. It was a fantastic place to spend the 4th of July. The deck is huge and awesome for for nice days. The yard is great for yard games and lounging in the shade.

Holiday weekend get away

Very nice property in a great location and close to the boat dock. The accommodations, dock and host were all excellent. First time to Balsom lake and was was impressed with the little town where you can boat up to a public dock and walk to town.

Balsam Blast!

Great place on the lake and super clean accommodations! Debbie was very good to work with and helped us with anything we needed. The lake is absolutely beautiful and what’s best its close to home. The pontoon was perfect for my gamily! I would for sure stay again!

Great weekend trip!

The property was better than advertised. Lots of space and in great shape. The beds were a little tight, but it worked fine for our group. And can't beat the one-hour drive from the Twin Cities!

Family Get-Away!

Fantastic property for a family get-away that kept everyone entertained from grandkids to Grandma! Host Debbie was a pleasure to work with and very quick to respond if ever a question. We made use of the kayaks, paddleboard, lillypad, and pool & darts in the game room. But we were also pleasantly surprised by plenty of paper products, kitchen accessories, and a secondary fridge. The direct water access, game room, and great host have us ready to book for next year!

Family fun

We had a great time here. This place has lots of space for family fun. Swimming and fishing by the pier was great. We enjoyed cooking together in the kitchen, which was well stocked. We played cards on the deck, made smores by the fire and went kayaking, some took quiet naps in the house! Everyone left happy!

A great holiday weekend!

We really enjoyed spending Labor Day weekend in Balsam Lake! Not only was the property well stocked with water toys (kayaks, paddle boat, etc.) there was plenty of entertainment in the game room, bonfire pit, and throughout the house. We would definitely return!

Great Balsam property

Our stay was fantastic. Deborah was super helpful and very quick to answer any and all questions. We enjoyed campfires each night, the huge dock, and pontooning around the lake. There were tons of space for our yard games and friends to visit. We enjoyed swimming and fishing right off the dock. The house is super spacious and had everything we needed and more. Can’t wait to visit again.

Awesome stay

The house was so full of character and so spacious for the 12 of us. The dock was perfect for swimming, tubing, fishing or just relaxing. I’m so impressed with the place. The lawn was big to play games. The fire pit was a relaxing evening activity with s’mores and pudgy pies. The weather was perfect. We all want to return soon!

Fabulous!

We had a wonderful memorial day weekend at this beautiful home. Debbie and Rod were excellent hosts. They were eager to make sure that everything was perfect for our family gathering. The game room was a huge hit with my grandkids and the adults as well. The house itself is roomy and well decorated. We had a blast!

Great week at the lake!

We had an awesome time at this lake house! Right from the start, everything was easy and smooth. The house is perfect for families with plenty of space for everyone. It felt like home. Debbie the host is amazing! She answered all our questions quickly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Thanks for making our trip so special. Can't wait to return!

Beautiful Historic Home on Balsam Lake

This house is a gem! Perfect for our combined family of 10. Beautiful waterfront property. Well maintained home. Lots of extras like free use of kayaks, paddle boat and Lily Pad. Awesome game room above garage was a HIT with the kids! Fun time had by ALL! Deb was very attentive and accommodating. Let us check in 1 hour early. Very personable. Would definitely return.

Everything was perfect. There was tons of space for family and friends to gather and also space to spread out. We had thanksgiving there and found everything we needed for cooking a huge meal. The host was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. She even mailed some forgotten items to us on her && Very accommodating and friendly . The place has plenty of space and was very clean. Every detail down to dog bed and toy was found extra blankets tons of Barh towels . The game room and view of the lake was amazing …we will definitely be back .. oh and location is great within distance of anything you would need and very easy to get to thank you for sharing your accommodations with us 🤗🤗

Good stay with a Down fall

Cabin was nice and roomie with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed having the game room. The big dock was nice to for catching some rays. The deck was also nice and big. Deborah was very quick to help and respond, as she has a cabin right next door. The only down fall was having to share a dock, yard, water toys and fire pit with the cottage that gets rented out right next to this cabin by the same owners.

Just to clarify, there is and always have been 2 fire pits. There are 3 lawns which are all very roomie for all to enjoy their own private space. The dock, is however shared with the small cottage, but has never been an issue. Plenty of water toys for everyone:)
