Welcome to Tybee Island!

Captain Royce's cottage was completely renovated in 2019.

This cozy home is located on beautiful 2nd Avenue, which is Tybee Island's Bike path, so be sure to bring your own bicycles, or plan on renting them while visiting. This is the best way to see all of Tybee! Make sure to sit on the front porch and enjoy your cocktails as walkers, runners, and bikers stroll down our beautiful quiet street! It is the best Street on Tybee!

The nearest beach access is only two blocks away and the home is only a few minutes walk to the Pier, restaurants, and shopping. Enjoy the sunrise on Tybee Island Beach and sunsets on Back Beach, all within walking distance from this perfectly located home.

The home features two separate living spaces (outside stairs go to the upstairs unit. No interior stairs). It is perfect for two families and the upstairs unit features gorgeous heart of pine flooring throughout, open living space with plenty of seating, a large 60" tv, brand new kitchen with microwave, refrigerator with ice on the door, dishwasher, and range/oven with a smooth top range. Enjoy afternoons on the huge porch overlooking the bike path. The gorgeous bathroom features a huge walk-in shower. The first bedroom has a queen size bed, closet, and tv. The second bedroom features a bunk bed with a full-size bed and twin bed, closet, and tv. There is also a full-size washer and dryer.

The comfortable mid-century modern downstairs living space has great amenities including a big screen tv, and a huge comfortable sofa, which is open to the custom kitchen with a smooth top range/oven, microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. There are two large bedrooms that are connected, one with a queen-size bed, closet, and tv, and the other with a full-size bed, closet, and TV. The renovated bathroom has a large tub/shower. There are 4 parking spaces for our guests.

There is a shower in the backyard with hot and cold water, a large picnic table, outdoor seating, and a front porch swing. Enjoy playing corn hole in the large front yard.

This property is ideal for families looking for a laid-back and quiet getaway.

Anastasia was a great hostess! Both levels were outfitted with all the extra fun things like beach towels, wagon, chairs and beach essentials! We were also able to make dinner full dinners easily and appreciated the quietness of the neighborhood!

New Years on Tybee

We enjoyed our week between Christmas and New Years at Tybee. The set-up of the house is perfect was a larger group. The decor was lovely and the unit was so well stocked! I enjoyed having the windows and doors open and going out on the upper balcony. Had a fun backyard where we had a fire and played yard games. It was a great location to all things on the island! We will be back again for sure

Every year I take my mom to meet her sisters for a destination weekend. This place did not disappoint. The island is beautiful. The owners went above and beyond for us. We cannot thank them enough for making our stay enjoyable right down to even setting up the firepit for us!!

Ideal property for 4th of July at Tybee

Property was very clean and well stocked with everything our family of 5 needed for a 4th of July vacation at Tybee. The kitchens and bathrooms were new and well equipped and we made use of the outdoor shower when coming home from the beach. Perfect location and a great overall property!

Tybee 2024

Perfect for family; short walk to the beach but golf cart comes in very handy. Pay for parking at beach. Nice neighborhood. Several amenities including beach towels, bags and wagon, beach chairs right at the house. Home also has 2 bikes, kayaks, cornhole + board games. Kids found many treasures on the beach! Beach is beautiful and not overcrowded. Prepare for the heat and wear lots and lots of sunscreen! Absolutely loved our stay.

Labor Day stay

This was our first time visiting Tybee. We had a wedding in Savannah Labor Day weekend, so my friends and I decided to make a holiday beach trip out of it. The house was great; inside and out. It was able to accommodate our party of 7 perfectly. We walked anywhere we wanted to go. Beach, restaurants, pier all within easy walking distance. Plenty of linens were provided, kitchen was adequately supplied, and the house had a very cozy beach vibe to it.

Great location.

We loved this house. It was perfect for our two families, 4 adults and 5 kids, five and under. It was great for the little kids and an easy walk to the beach, stores and restaurants. Definitely recommend for a family, very safe and comfortable area.

Relaxing

This house was really just wonderful! Perfect for us as we were a family of adults. Lower level rooms, kitchen living area and bathrooms and upper level of the same! Just far enough away from the beach that we did not have to hear the bands and such but close enough that we walked there and enjoyed all of the live music by night and beach by day. Quick drive into Savannah for the evening as well. Super convenient spot overall ! Loved the deck out front for morning coffee and an evening drink. Felt very at home in this great vacation rental. Will definitely be back!

Perfect time in Tybee

Wonderful time in tybee. The beach access was a short walk and we enjoyed the beach wagon. House was perfect for 8-10 people the walk down town was close. We enjoyed the upstairs rain shower! Would love to return

Great location and plenty of room. We had some issues early with the air conditioning and the property owner was excellent in getting it resolved. We really liked that there is two units for a little privacy (we traveled with two different families). We brought our own beach chairs, etc. but the home has everything that you will need.

We purchased this amazing home in 2019 and spent almost a full year completely renovating the home! This was intended to be our part-time vacation home but we found ourselves on Tybee almost every week. We love the ability to walk to IGA, all of the wonderful local restaurants, and enjoy the beautiful sandy beach, especially South beach in the afternoons! We were lucky to be able to buy a lot on 2nd Avenue and have built our forever home here.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This home was the home of Captain Royce, who lived in the home with his family for over 40 years. He was the grand marshall of the Beach Bum parade and everyone loved him.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The front porch is our favorite place for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. There are always so many happy families walking and riding by!
