Big house, excellent location, plenty of room for a family
This is a very big house, in an excellent location - we went down to the city on the train from Dobbs Ferry but also drove into Pleasantville and Tarrytown for shopping and dining. Thereâs plenty of room for a family and the kitchen contains all the necessary basics for meals.
This is a wonderful old house, centrally located in Dobbs Ferry. It instantly felt like a home away from home. It was the perfect spot to stay with family, including young kids. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The Victorian is as pictured in the photos. The house was space, close to the train, grocery stores, homey and had all the amenities we needed as a family to make a beautiful Christmas! Blythe was responsive and friendly and easy to work with. The house faces a fairly busy road but was not an issue for us. Would stay again.
Great location for our needs! This home was perfect for what we needed!
We were in town for my sonâs wedding! We had 7 people, which the owner upon booking kindly reminded me there was only 1 full bathroom for my group! But we made it work based on our event schedule! The house was clean and comfortable! We enjoyed sitting outside in the back yard garden! We had great parking! We loved the fact that there are quaint little towns so close by with great food options! I canât really speak on the kitchen amenities as we didnât cook there! But everything else was great! They exceeded our expectations with bathroom amenities! The home itself was very charming and felt very safe! There are ac units in all the bedrooms which I personally loved to be able to control my sleep temperature! My only small downside was we would have liked more towels⊠the ladies wanted one for the body and one for the hair! Speaking of the bathroom amenities⊠the shower water pressure was epic! Highly recommend!
Completely overpriced for the quality of the furniture and extremely outdated appliances. Uncomfortable beds, countertops are pretty gross with tile caulking that is meant for flooring and walls and the sofa is impossible to lay on. Owners are responsive and lovely and do their best to fix issues right away, but ultimately were providing a rental that should have been 2/3 less of what we paid. No central A/C and most window units are old and/or filter needs to be changed.
After the first house that we had booked for our family vacation was canceled 6 days before our trip, Blythe was able to help us out on short notice. She was very responsive and responded right away. The house was clean and spotless. The only thing I would point out is that the house is close to a hospital, fire station, and the front of the house is on a busy street, however the neighborhood is nice. If you sleep in the front room use head phones. If you are traveling with older adults the stairs up to the bedrooms could be steep. Overall our experience was positive!
