Cozy house on the Hudson

House has been completely updated with a new bathroom, new kitchen, and patio. Bright and sunny location with all new windows. Bedroom has views of the Hudson, with comfortable Queen bed and a private bathroom.
I live on a dead-end street with Sing Sing prison on one side, and the Beautiful Hudson River on the backside. You can see the Hudson River and Tappan Zee bridge from bedroom, living room and kitchen.. I am close to public transportation with an easy ride on the Hudson line from NYC. You can hear and see the train from the deck. Phelps Memorial Hospital-3miles, Rockefeller State Park-4 miles, Pace University-8 miles.
Three video surveillance cameras monitor the exterior of our home and they are located at the front of the house, patio, and the back deck to the left as you exit.
STOP SIGNS- Please do not roll thru the stops signs, or you will get a ticket! Fun things to do in Ossining
Teatown Lake Reservation- 4.8 miles away, hiking trails
Sing sing prison museum- community center. 127 Main Street
Sing sing Kill Greenway Trail
Rockefeller State Park 2.9 miles away. Many trails, lake, animals. Stone Barn Restaurant $$$$

Mary Ellen what a wonderful host and it was such a beautiful stay with stunning views of the Hudson River that cannot be captured in the photos of her property. It was clean, had everything we needed, and provided a relaxing oasis for our fall trip to sleepy hollow / Tarrytown!

Wonderful Romantic Getaway on the Hudson

On a road trip with my girlfriend to Baltimore and wanted to visit Sleepy Hollow for the night. We loved the backyard view of the Hudson River and the back patio deck in addition to the private water feature and fire pit. The property is very clean and organized.

I reserved this home and had a small business meeting here during the day. It was so quiet and exactly as pictured. The host was fantastic at communicating. I'd recommend this property over any in the area! Five Stars!

Home on the Hudson

Loved this wonderful home on the Hudson with fantastic views from a spacious deck or from inside at the dining room table. For a couple the trundle bed is not ideal, but for two traveling companions, it works fine. Close to downtown Ossining with a fantastic local coffee shop (First Village Coffee) with the best croissants I've ever had (and I'm a snob that's been to Paris twice) and a family run Turkish restaurant, next to each other on main street. Owner provide some coffee and tea at a little station set up in the kitchen which was much appreciated. Would look forward to staying here again.

The host Mary Ellen is very informative about local things to do and places to go. Anytime we had a request or a question, she was very quick to respond. This location is very good if you’re wanting to do things in the Hudson Valley area. The views are really nice from the backyard if you happen to be there when the sun is setting. This is the host’s personal home, and not a full-time rental so the set up is a bit different, but it’s homey and comfortable.

Host was welcoming, she gave us a lot of rec’s on where to eat and go. House was cozy, bed was clean. Kitchen was nice, had everything you needed to prepare food. The backyard was beautiful. Bathroom was clean, shower worked well. Would definitely recommend this to a friend!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home! The outdoor spaces were absolutely amazing and we loved watching the sunset every night. The location of the home was perfect for us to visit our son at West Point and to take the train to New York City to see our other children. Mary Ellen is a gracious and responsive host! A perfect way to experience the Hudson Valley!

I absolutely loved my stay here! The house is cozy, clean, and beautiful. The backyard and views are truly stunning. Communication with the host was easy and I got excellent instructions and quick responses. And there is parking!

Location was ideal to sight see Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. Communication with Mary Ellen was terrific-responded quickly to questions. Sunsets were beautiful over the Hudson.

Cozy and homey, with beautiful gardens & view. A/C in bedroom is quite strong, had to even turn on low in 90 degrees heat wave. Host is responsive to questions. Bed was comfortable, with high quality linens. We are used to a king, but it was nice. Storage was some drawers and a few hangers next to towels provided in bedroom closet. Kitchen is very fully stocked, but many food items are stored in fridge and freezer there belonging to host. We bought items at the local Stop and Shop & had enough room for our stuff, though. There’s a Michelin restaurant in town, Blue Hill, which requires reservations months in advance I believe. But there is a cafĂ© that is open Wednesday through Sunday, and we were sorry that we missed that. We went to dinner at The Boathouse on Saturday night, but could not get a reservation, as it was packed, with live music, so we ate at the bar. Fun! There was a roku smart tv with all the streaming apps, and good wifi signal. Host messaged wifi & password prior to arrival, along with door access code. Easy checkin & checkout. You will feel comfortable here, and you only see the River snd gardens, very private. A well fed orange tabby cat with a collar came to visit in the garden at night. Such a nice experience!!

Cozy is the correct description. Good vibes with a lovely yard and flowers. Nice kitchen, Living room and comfortable bed. We took a tour of the Kykuit home of JD Rockefeller and then an over the top lunch at Trata on the River in Piermont. Enjoyed our stay, Thank you !

Beautiful Spring on the Hudson

We spent 5 pleasant evenings here to share in our grandson’s West Point graduation. This home is beautifully appointed and offers great views of the river from 2 decks. Communications with the owner were easy and timely. Parking, access, trash and recycling were convenient. We enjoyed several movies and listening to music via Alexa. We heartily recommend this spot. And we found it interesting but absolutely no problem to be a short block away from Sing Sing—actually kind of a fun thing to talk about. Overall, this area and the small towns along the river are beautiful!
