ABOUT THE RENTAL
A serene setting directly on Munro Lake, this three bedroom, two bath home is a perfect getaway for any season! A quick drive to many Northern Michigan favorites. *Please note this is in a remote location. There is a Verizon hot spot at this home, but it is spotty and often goes in and out of service. It's best to plan on not having it and to enjoy the natural beauty of Northern Michigan! You are welcomed into the home through the kitchen and dining area which is open to the living room overlooking the lakefront. There is also a perfect little game table area in the living room as well. Stainless steel appliances and a large dining room table seating six makes it a great space for cooking meals in. There are four extra seats at the breakfast bar as well. The split floor plan offers more privacy to the primary bedroom with a king bed and an en suite, including a large soaking tub and shower and spacious closet space. The second bedroom located on the opposite end of the home has a full-size bed and the third bedroom across the hall from it offers four twins (two bunk beds) which is a great place for kids to hang out or for you to separate a bit if it’s a guy’s weekend away on the snowmobiles. Grab a glass of wine and sit on the large deck to take in the spacious yard and great view of the lake or sit at the lakeshore in the old-time hammock suspended from the many trees. The two-car garage is available for use and a great spot to store your toys during your stay. Bring your boat, kayak, and paddleboards and use the dock to enjoy your time on the lake.

*This property allows two dogs, maximum. A non-refundable $150.00 cleaning fee will be charged per pet.

An all-sports lake located just north of Douglas Lake with 515 acres and 5.4 miles of shoreline – home to many Northern Pike, Large Mouth Bass, and Panfish.

The Lakeview was good, and the inside of the house was clean with a few exceptions. The house was pretty much as described.

Mack swim

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed up here while I swim around Mack Island. Stayed with my whole family and my dog. there was a few dirty socks in the pullout couch, plus some of the garbage. There was garbage underneath the bed and under different items like I’ve been swept to the side. The sliding door effect we didn’t work or at least a few of our kids were unable to open it. The owners were good at communicating. I would say with just a few tweaks and a little bit of more cleaning, we would’ve had an excellent experience.

The property was clean and nicely set up. We were able to grill and cook most of our dinners which was great. And it is centrally located to Mackinac and petosky and the beaches. Beautiful stay. Property management was responsive via text and we were able to get what was needed. My only concern was the sliding door, it was difficult to slide. My 8 yr old had a hard time and so did the adults at times. We left feeling refreshed, so very peaceful.

Great family trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time on Munro lake. The property is beautiful and we spent most time outside in the back yard. The trees offer great shade, and the water was perfect for the kids to play. We also brought our boat and tied to the dock which worked great. A lot of the reviews mention little to no internet service but we never had an issue, worked great. It was peaceful and quiet and can't wait to be back.

A nice quiet property on a calm lake where the kids could swim, fish, paddle board, lay in hammocks and make bonfires and more...There is not much around the general area but it is only about 20 min to Mackinaw City. The house was clean with basic amenities - needed to get a few things to be able to use the grill. Overall it was a fun stay with lots of great memories!

The property is in a convenient and private location 20 minutes from Macinaw City. It's a cute and comfortable place with easy access to the lake, however, it is in need of some maintenance and TLC. The sliding glass door to the back required some major force to open and close, the bathroom window was broken and there was pink mold on the shower curtain. The Teflon in the cooking pan we used flaked off and many of the sharp knives were broken. The deck was in desperate need of paint but maybe that was in the works since some of the boards were replaced.

Great time on Munro Lake

Family and I spent Monday-Friday morning here and had a blast. It was a wonderful location, lake was beautiful and being in the middle of the week, we only saw 2 people out and about. We had a couple of minor things pop up, but a simple text message/phone call was prompt in getting things sorted out. Inside of the house was very well done, beds comfortable. The house could use a good power washing and front porch and back porch could use some new stain, but those are relatively minor compared to all the good. One thing that I would have done differently is that if you are planning on fishing- make sure you have kayak/boat. The lake is only about 1-2 feet deep near the dock and didn't have any fish. I would go 9/10!

Relaxing long weekend

Great for families with kids!

Loved the house and property. My only complaint is the outdoor trash bins were overflowing and we had no where to empty our trash. I contacted the property management and was told to put the trash in the bins provided. I tried to explain that the were already overflowing with trash but I was not able to get any help. We ended up leaving our trash in the garage.

Private get away

The house was very clean and inviting. Lots of towels and bedding provided. Bring your spices if you are cooking. There were none at the house. Also bring a bucket to put out your campfire. We couldn't find one in the house. The sliding back door was very hard to open and close and didn't have a screen door which we thought was odd since we had some days we could have shut the air off. Other than these minor details, we had a wonderful and quiet stay. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time. The view of the lake each morning was the beautiful. Enjoyed a bonfire at the edge of the lake. I would definitely rent this place again.

Great Up North Adventure

Great location to visit Mackinac Island and all surrounding areas! Our family of seven had a wonderful and comfortable stay. The water and swimming was great and the house was very well-appointed with everything you need.
