Location, Location, Location!!

Our newly renovated home, located on the Strawberry Island Canal, part of the Cheboygan River and the Famous Inland Waterways is open for your vacation destination!

This home offers 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, a spacious living room area, a flat screen TV with sound bar, Spectrum TV and free unlimited Wi-Fi service!

There is a king size bed in the master bedroom, a large walk-in closet and a master bathroom. The second bedroom offers a queen size bed while the third bedroom has a set of full size bunk beds. We also have a pack and play for the little ones and (2) queen size air mattresses with bedding, if needed. There are small dressers/stands with mirrors, closets, and sound machines in all of the bedrooms!

In the kitchen you’ll find granite countertops, new appliances and is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, a toaster, griddle, cutting boards, wine glasses, and more! We also provide a coffee bar with assorted coffee, creamers and hot tea! There's also hot chocolate for the kiddo's!

Off the kitchen and thru the sliding glass doors, you’ll find yourself stepping out onto the brand new furnished back deck with a hot tub, grill and beautiful views of the River!

The spacious back yard offers 160' of private access to the canal. Bringing a boat or renting one? Perfect! You’ll have access to our private dock! You’ll find a fire pit out in the yard near the canal where you can roast marshmallows, sip on a drink, or simply relax in the chairs provided, (or take a nap in one of the two hammocks) while enjoying the views and sounds of the water and wildlife!

This beautiful setting is peaceful, quiet and only seconds away from all the action of the Cheboygan River and Mullet Lake!

You’ll find 2 kayaks with paddles and life jackets in the garage for your enjoyment along with a large Water Lilly pad! We also provide several beach chairs and lots of beach towels!

There’s plenty of ample parking space in the driveway, in addition to the 2 car garage!

We do provide all linens, towels, extra blankets, toilet paper, paper towel, laundry soap, fabric softener, dish soap, and more!

We are within walking distance to the North Eastern State Trails for biking & hiking in warmer weather and snowmobiling in the winter!

This is the perfect place for an up north getaway, all year round!

Excellent property, excellent host

Great location, very clean, the grandkids and us had a terrific stay. The kids fished and swam from the dock, we all enjoyed the hot tub. Appliances and furniture in great shape, excellent location on the edge of town, and close to many attractions. Host is an extremely good communicator, would stay again without hesitation

Mullet lake get a way

What a great place to stay you’re right in the middle of mullet Lake Lake Huron, and a beautiful river. The house was immaculate. Well stocked everything you could ask for.

Perfect location and lots of amenities

Our group as a whole was impressed with the entire stay. The house was clean and the property is perfect for those who want to hang out by the river and float on tubes or who want to sit on the back deck, enjoy the view and soak in the hot tub. The host was also extremely responsive to all questions. We had the best time and certainly give this property 5 out 5 stars!

Beautiful place!

The home was very clean. It was stocked nicely. We had 3 couples and the bedrooms were all nice size. Loved having the garage for the guys fishing tackle. The deck and yard were well maintained and very inviting! Would definitely book again!

Great house!

Wonderful house and property! Great river spot off on a quiet and peaceful canal. Weather was chilly so we didn’t have a chance to swim but the hot tub was perfect. Clean and well stocked house and the owner was very helpful and accommodating. We’ll be back!

Northern Retreat

What a wonderful property! The house was beautifully decorated and well accommodated with everything we needed. We enjoyed the spectacular views from the deck looking out at the river and the addition of the hot tub was a nice surprise. We would highly recommend this to our friends without hesitation. Excellent stay!

There are 6 adults (all 60 yes old) in our party. This year we didn't have the rec boat, just the fishing boat. Theh had a new dock. The location is perfect, a small canal just off the Cheboygan River. Close to Mullet Lake and Lake Huron. Everything is clean and we didn't want for anything! Very comfortable inside and a lovely deck available for outside. Cant go wrong! The hosts are great!

Great Inland water way getaway !

The house was perfect for a boat weekend. We came via boat without truck and trailer. The dock was adequate to tie up our 25’ triton. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a wonderful touch after a rather cold and rainy boat ride back from Mackinac Island! We will be back! Great rental !

Perfect Location

We had a wonderful stay! The quiet neighborhood was perfect with bike trails just down the road. We loved that the canal was shallow and didn’t see a lot of boat traffic which allowed the kids to kayak and play in the water safely. We brought our fishing boat and enjoyed putting along the canal out to the lake. It was just a few minute car trip in to Cheboygan and only about a half hour to Mackinaw City. The home was clean and cozy and perfect for our family get-away. We would come back!

Relaxing stay, well appointed home!

Melissa thought of everything her guest's comfort and needs in this updated and comfortably furnished home. The kitchen was well stocked, more dishes and glassware than we have ever seen in a rental home! Plenty of towels, paper products, even Kcups, popcorn and seasonings were available. A relaxing and quiet location with use of the garage being a nice perk as well! Thank you so much!!!

Great location for Up North activities!

We loved this rental especially having a larger family on vacation. We were able to have days away and days at the house and it was perfect being just a short ways from the bridge (30 minutes!). We loved using the kayaks and the access to the hot tub since the river was still a little cold with it being June. The house was equipped with everything you'd need for entire week to eat there or eat out. There was quite a bit of goose poop on the lawn (it's a large lawn!) so if you have small children I would be careful what they get into. We cleaned a lot of it up since we had a small child - but an owl might be useful to keep them away in the future. Would definitely recommend this rental or stay again in the future!

Outstanding

Such a great stay! We loved the welcome snack basket and the coffee bar. Plenty of comfy seating, comfy beds, everything you need to prepare meals, super clean and all with wonderful view of water and perfect location. If I had one suggestion it would be add door of some type to master bath. So far this has been the best vrbo I've stayed at. Thanks so much for sharing your home.

Warm, welcoming vacation home

Our group of four adults spent a wonderful two weeks in this lovely updated home. The location was excellent for all the day trips we had planned. We went exploring all over the Upper Peninsula, saw Mackinac Island, and even went into Canada at Sault Saint Marie. We all agree this VRBO was everything described online, but better and the WiFi worked great! The beds were very comfortable, kitchen well equipped with everything we needed and the coffee bar was much appreciated since we are all big coffee drinkers. Check out the cabinets and fridge before you shop. We found some good basic supplies available. Used the BBQ grill several times for grilling dinner and it worked well. Fire pit was nice on the cooler evenings and seeing deer on early mornings and evenings in the woods across the street from the house was a treat. We did not get around to kayaking, but enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning and evening and gazing out over the canal. On clear nights the stars were beautiful. People in the neighborhood don’t leave outside lights on late in the evening, so it’s almost as good as going to the dark sky park nearby in Mackinaw City. Melissa, the host, was very nice, easy to contact and responded promptly. We would absolutely rent this property again should we return to Cheboygan.

The Strawberry Canal is a perfect Pure Michigan experience!

The lake house was well appointed, very, very comfortable, and full of surprises. Coffee , a nice welcoming dessert, and even some stuff in the refrigerator. Plenty of towels, bedding and comforters. We didn't run out of any of the essentials, like toilet paper and paper towels. Great place for the grandkids to swim right in back, nice area to kayak around the island and into the Cheboygan River as well as Mullett Lake. Great fire pit, too! Day trips to Mackinac City, Mackinac Island, across the bridge to St Ignace, and Petoskey are quick and easy. Cheboygan has a lot to offer, too. Great eats and drinks.

Amazing property

This property was absolutely perfect, well stocked and included kayaks, fishing poles, grill and a firepit!!! Property was very clean and inviting. Communication with Melissa was easy and we really enjoyed our weekend getaway. Will definitely stay here again!

Amazing experience!!

We came up to visit and spend some time in Mackinac and the UP. Melissa was amazing and we had everything we needed plus some!! From the provided coffee to the little touches she had for our family, everything was above and beyond. Our family had the most amazing time fishing, kayaking and just sitting by the fire. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
