This home had a ton of space for everyone to relax with great amenities like table tennis, hot tub and bikes. Fort Rock Park is located just across the road which made our daily visits to pickleball and basketball courts so easy. Would definitely stay again!
Overall I would recommend this home. For how small the square footage is the layout is functional for our 7 and I think it would be fine for 10 people. The 9 SHARC passes was awesome and the location of the house was great. Only four of the bikes were functional and only after some minor adjustment. Really, all the bikes should be replaced along with the BBQ. We really enjoyed our stay and I would not hesitate to rent this home again.
We really enjoyed being so close to Fort Rock Park. The house is spacious and accommodated our family of 6. Love using the endless bike trails just next to this cabin.
Unassuming from the outside but a GEM of a home. Cozy, updated, all the amenities we were looking for. Comfortable beds and couch, great decor. We loved our stay and our families in other houses agreed we had the âcool houseâ.
Pros: Plenty of toilet paper despite the reviews. The hot tub worked great also despite the reviews. Plenty of bath towels, hot tub towels, extra pillows, blankets, linens, and fans for the whole group. Kitchen was stocked up with anything you could need, plenty of dishes for multiple meals and all the appliances you could think of. There was even some spices and cooking supplies provided. There was a pack ânâ play provided and it was great for our baby along with the baby toys. The Village is a short 5 minute drive away. Quiet neighborhood despite backing up to the road.
Cons: Few minor cosmetic damages throughout the house but nothing that affected the trip. A couple of the bikes werenât the greatest to ride, but there were enough working ones for us to enjoy a stroll. Only one main trash can in the house and it was very small so anticipate taking the trash out consistently. The shag rug in the living room was quite dirty but after a thorough vacuuming with the one provided it was good as new. A little mold in the washer from the door being shut with moisture inside. The outside lights were all burnt out but after switching a couple lightbulbs around we were able to get the walkways lit up outside. No all purpose cleaner or wipes provided to clean up the kitchen after meals.
Overall, the house was just what we needed to get family together from all over the state. Charming house with cozy finishing touches throughout. Would highly recommended checking this place out if youâre visiting the Sunriver area.
This home was just what we needed for a girls trip! The layout was open and the couch was cozy, so we could all lounge in front of the fireplace or watch the snow fall outside the huge wrap around windows in the living space. The hot tub was tucked away in the backyard so it felt private. It was nice that it is covered with a skylight so you can sit under the stars no matter the weather. The kitchen was pretty well stocked for cooking and entertaining. There were plenty of towels for the bathrooms and the hot tub. The decor was stylish and modern, making us feel a touch of class in our home away from our homes. Iâd recommend this place for a quaint little getaway. For us, it was especially quiet because we were there in the off-season.
This home is in a great location, but aside from that, it leaves much to be desired. The following are the main issues:
1. Two of the bicycles were broken and an additional two were in very rough condition. This resulted in not having enough bicycles for our group of eight. Additionally, there was no code for the bike lock so we had no way to secure the bikes, which meant we did not ride them to dinner at the village or to the marina for our rafting trip. When I called the local Vacasa number reported these two bike-related issues on the day of our arrival, I was told I would receive a follow-up call first thing in the morning to rectify the issue. Unfortunately that did not happen.
2. The home has two bathrooms and we ran out of toilet paper by the morning of our second day. Our group did not aggressively use toilet paper! Each bathroom had a PARTIAL role of TP in the dispenser and NOT A SINGLE EXTRA ROLE anywhere in the house! I could not believe this happened and it certainly wasnât a nice surprise for my husband when he used the restroom in the morning on Day 2. Luckily (kind of) there were two single tissues in the tissue box in the bathroom. TWO. Not even a full box!! I called Saturday afternoon to check-in on the bike situation and ask about toilet paper. The Vacasa staff member said she was not informed of the bike issue, but she would bring over a couple of rolls of TP when she got off work, which she kindly did.
3. The hot tub did not function well. We had four people in the hot tub the second night of our stay and when the fifth person got in some water spilled out of the hot tub. The hot tub immediately shut off and would not turn back on. Of course this happened around 8:00 pm so no one answered the phone when we called to report the issue. Iâm sure the hot tub was shorted, but we could not access the electric panel to try to reset the breaker.
Overall there were multiple major issues with this home that impacted the plans of our group. Additional minor issues include the lack of cleanliness, slightly broken couch in the living area, and missing (and dirty) cushions for the outdoor furniture.
More than the issues with the home were the issues with Vacasa and their lack of attention to detail and communication. It is absolutely ridiculous to provide less than two rolls of TP, especially for a group of eight adults who are staying for three days. Furthermore, it is unacceptable to ensure follow-up when issues are reported and to not do so.
We will not be staying at home managed by Vacasa again.
