Cottage was very clean, inviting and unique. Easy access to shops and restaurants as well as National Historical Park. The owners initiated most of the communications regarding check in and check out and communicated both emails and texting. Would love to come back and stay again!!
Exceptional in all ways! Charming cottage in a perfect location. This was the cleanest place we have ever rented and the service to reserve and communicate was excellent.
My family had a great stay at the cottage. It's a short (but steep) walk to town and very convenient to the Appalachian Trail. We had a fun time exploring Harper's Ferry. There were 2 baby deer that visited the yard on multiple occasions. We stayed in July and the AC did a good job of keeping the house cool, it was also convenient having a washer and dryer. Would stay again if we're back in the area!
Nice to have separate sleeping areas. Very convenient location, was able to walk to or take short drives. Very quiet and homey. Loved the bunnies and carrots.
Our stay at the Carrot Top was great. It was clean, beautifully decorated and wonderfully cool in the 90 degrees days we were there. The owners are very communicative and accommodating. Would love to go back again!
The house is adorable inside and out! Pulling up to the house you just know that you are in for a treat! The decor is absolutely perfect. The home is very comfortable and has all that you need for a exceptional stay...and then some. Walking the streets and admiring the beautiful old homes is so relaxing! This Is Our New " Happy Place!"
Absolutely a great place and location. Our plans completely changed after getting 6â of snow and then a deep freeze, but we were comfortable and were able to prepare all our meals with the equipment and utensils provided. Communication was great, check in easy and no extravagant check out demands. Canât wait to come back
We enjoyed this weekend away as we explored the history and adorable shops of Harpers Ferry. We loved being close enough to walk on the Appalachian Trail and into town. We loved seeing the deer off and on the whole time we were there. The home was clean and super cute inside! Thank you for this nice weekend away for our family!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home was full of amenities and super clean. We were able to park our car at the cottage and walk to the Appalachian Trail, and on down to the town. We would definitely stay here again.
The house was very clean with a nice porch and backyard. It was about a 10 minute walk to lower Harpers Ferry and Bolivar. The house was perfect for our nice weekend tripto celebrate our 10 year anniversary.
The Carrot Top Cottage exceeded our expectations! The house was stocked (minus food), like it would if you lived there. They even had cooking oil, salt/pepper, and plenty of dish towels in the kitchen. Our children enjoyed the upstairs. It's the kind of room I would have lived to have as a kid. We were greeted by deer and groundhogs in the yard. The Appalachian Trail was extremely close and easy to take down into town. Be prepared for a hike back up to the house if you walk to town, but you can do it! The location, supplies, and everything was top notch!
When me and my husband got to the cottage it instantly took us back to our childhood. The smells of the plants outside, the creaking of the screen door, the porch, the decor inside reminded me of grandmothers house. It is the cutest little house with so much detail. My boys had the loft upstairs and were so excited about the spiral staircase. Everyday there were three baby deer that would wonder up to the cottage. I give this a full 5 stars. We loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful cottage. Charming decor. Spotless. Very impressed with the furnishings an such a comfortable bed. Great location. Very close to the Appalachian Trail and Thomas Jefferson Rock. Siiting on the porch in the evening watching the deer walk by. Wonderful property we highly recommend
