This beautiful secluded spacious home is located on a private spring-fed lake in the Ocala National Forest just 13 miles east of Silver Springs just off of State Road 40. It has recently been completely renovated. Canoeing, fishing, swimming, and kayaking with access to an adjoining lake make this and pleasant and unique setting.
The property was awesome. The house had everything to make the stay enjoyable and fun. The only thing we did not realize from the description online was that the home was multilevel. The pictures did not show stairs nor the description. One suggestion that would help would be a handrail to get in and out of the pool. The setting is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful experience. We would stay there again.
Great house for many possible vacations. We were there in February and did not use the pool or the lake. Both would be great in March or April. No problems all week. Great house!
Overall one of the better rentals I have stayed in - kitchen well stocked with glasses, plates and all required utensils. Three bathrooms is a plus and the beds were so comfortable. Outstanding yard and even a beach! Lake is nice to paddle around and I bet its a great swim in warmer weather. Pool, however, is not heated so it remained unused during our March visit and that was the one disappointment.
Our family had a nice relaxing vacation. Great fishing on the lake. Silver Springs State Park is close by, and we enjoyed the glass bottom boat. Hoping to make this an annual family vacation spot.
We loved this relaxing, tucked away spot. Directions provided helped immensely. The pool and lake were beautiful and Barb responded to my question quickly.
We always enjoyed this home this is our third time staying, here you have everything you need, attractions close like silver gland spring, Silver Spring Park ,the location is so convenience because of the lake in the backyard and pool . I really recommend this house
LOVED THIS PROPERTY. EVERYTHING YOU NEED, FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM ALL THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE BUT CLOSE ENOUGH TO TOWN. PERFECT. WILL SAVE THIS ONE TO BOOK AGAIN
The water view from the lake to the pool made it a relaxing weekend celebrating a 40 year career and retirement with friends. Being close to Silver Springs State Park made that for a great days adventure and then back to relax in the pool.
We loved this property! The home is inviting and large, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed for our visit. The pool is refreshing and was great fun for the kids. We enjoyed the kayaks- a first for 2 of the kids who were with us. I highly recommend this vacation home!
The house was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, the lake, and the proximity to all the Springs that we wanted to visit. There were four of us two couples. Age ranging from 58 to 66.
Loved the house very spacious for 4 children and 4 adults . We were close to the springs which was why we booked here. Kids and dads loved fishing outback and kayaks. Perfect for what we were looking for and house had everything you would need !
Very chill. Roku enabled TV's and great Wi-Fi meant happy teens. Screened in pool area with ample shade AND Sun was also fun and relaxing. We also explored the Silver Spring park and canoed. Very fun. :)
This property had it all for us! My husband did some fishing in the Kayak and caught quite a few. The pool and firepit are my favorites things to do. And the peace and quiet were exactly what we were looking for on Memorial Day weekend. We do alot of vacation rentals and this one is by far the best in Northern FL. We are from South FL and when we want to get away without leaving the state this will be our new go to. Thanks Barbara for sharing your house.
Arrived at 430 PM, 8 Oct 22 and after a tour of property found that it exceeded our expectations so we settled in. Invited Brother and Wife fron Jacksonville to spend Monday with us and we all left about 10 AM Tuesday. Absolutely no criticisms, we enjoyed every minute of our stay and may consider this property for a longer stay in the future if it is available. Loved the area, people are friendly.
Very relaxing. Kids enjoyed fishing and swimming. Made the 15 minute drive to salt springs state park, kids were amazed at how clear the water was and all the fish and crab you can see. The water is a little to cold for me. Maybe once the weather gets warmer it will be easier to tolerate. Although the water stays the same temperature year round. With young children our weekend getaways are usually go go go and when get get back I need a day off. But this trip was more like taking some time to unwind. Iâd definitely do it again.
