We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! If you’re looking to ski at Northstar and want the convenience of being right in the village, this is it. It’s truly ski-in/ski-out, which made everything so easy.We stayed as a family of four, and our two kids had great sleeping accommodations in the living room. If you’re looking for a simple, no-frills condo that has everything you need, this place absolutely does the trick. We’ll be back!

Walk right out to the northstar gondola, don’t worry getting to the slopes. Hot tub and gym access. Looks like the photos. Full kitchen. Highly recommend.

Cozy condo with best North Star location for ski / snowboard

You simply can't beat the location of this condo -- just a few feet away from the slopes. We loved skiing to the gondola in the morning and skiing home in the afternoon. It's also just a few feet away from the North Star restaurants and shops. The condo itself was clean and had everything we needed. Free parking right new to the condo was a great bonus.

Nice condo

We enjoyed our stay but just had two things we thought could use improvement. We need more than one bath towel each for a 4 night stay. Also, there were no clear instructions on where the laundry was located. The place definitely could use some updating but overall was clean and pleasant.

The cleaning service should be terminated but the condo was great. 3.5 stars

Condo was not clean. We had to do our own cleaning on arrival. Dusty countertops, Cobb webs hanging from ceiling (did somebody not see this or saw it and did not care). The property officially accommodates 5 guests and we were 5. There were not enough towels, and the extra linens for the pull up sofa and chaise were dirty not laundered. Might of been pet hair on the chaise too. We had to improvise and use our clean tshirts as pillow cases. Another annoying thing is the broken trash bin in the kitchen it should just be replaced. On the plus side, the actual Condo unit is great in regards to location and function. It would be nice to have a balcony but its priced reasonably and the location is ideal within walking distance to the Northstar village. The rec center is a great option that comes with the condo you pay $10 per person per day for access. We would book again if returning to Northstar but will make the property manager commit in writing that due diligent cleaning services will be done before arrival. If that is squared away this property can get a 5 star rating in regards to price and quality.

Northstar condo

This unit was tiny, lacked storage and was shut up so there was a heavy dust/mold smell so to there being mold on the ceiling in the shower due to a broken vent. We had to open every window to air it out and have the management reclean (deep clean) the following day which meant we had to be out half the day. There is no outdoor balcony on this tiny condo and not enough storage for luggage. The 1 bedroom is all bed and the closet was full of maids comforters sheets and towels which most of it was unclean. The other closet near the bathroom was also half filled with the same stuff. The complex is amazing. Pool facility was awesome but $10 a person to use which was not mentioned. Plenty of hiking trails and you are a mountain biker, this place is awesome. But nowhere to keep your bike. I would not rent this unit again due to its size and it's lack of outdoor balcony which every other unit has. Also, the local maid service is incompetent. To keep their supplies in your closets is ridiculous. And not seeing the mold on the ceiling in the shower, smell the smells or clean the filthy vents was unbelievable. Also, no AC. Surprise! It was July and warm. We were suppose to get our first night comped and that hasn't happened yet. Be careful renting anything in Truckee which BTW, in NOT part of Lake Tahoe. And hour/hour and a half from Lake Tahoe.

Our team worked hard to address your requests, including removing some of the homeowner's décor and sending the cleaning team back for a deep clean to make your stay more comfortable. We strive to ensure our listings are accurate, and we want to clarify that this unit isn’t marketed as having a balcony, nor do we show photos of one. Similarly, air conditioning isn’t listed as an amenity, as most properties in the Tahoe Truckee area don’t have A/C, and we provide this information before your arrival to help guests prepare. The pool facility fee is set by the third-party HOA, but we appreciate your feedback and will consider adding this detail to our listing. Regarding the location, Kings Beach (North Lake Tahoe) is only 7 miles from Northstar and 13 miles from Truckee, so we’re not sure if there was some confusion and a longer route was taken. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that this stay didn’t meet your expectations.

The location was great and the property management people were very responsive. But the property is in need up some maintenance, a kitchen cabinet door fell off (the management people quickly repaired it). The property just needs some upkeep by the owners.

Please enjoy this home as your own during your stay but remain mindful of the following:
All of our properties are strictly non smoking.

There is no street parking during winter months of November thru April due to snow removal procedures.

Most Tahoe homes are not equipped with A/C, however there is rarely a need. On extra hot days simply open the windows in the evening to let in the cool mountain air, then shut first thing in the morning. The trapped cool air will keep the home cooler throughout the day.

Due to drought conditions in California there may be a fire ban in effect during the time of your stay. Tahoe Truckee Vacation Properties will notify guests via email if a ban is in effect but please do your diligence and use common sense with any fire pit or bbq.

Be bear aware! A fed bear is a dead bear. Do not leave any food inside your vehicles, on the deck or bbq, or any place a bear may gain access. Please utilize bear bins for trash disposal and do not leave in the home or garage. Should you have a bear encounter requiring attention please call The Bear League at 530.525.PAWS

Please note there is an additional pet fee for pet friendly homes.
