Captiva Apartment

The apartment is perfect for a short beach stay. It was very clean and well kept and just a short walk to the beach. The mattress was very firm, but we seemed to have adjusted and slept well. John was a wonderful host.

Quiet Captiva Get-Away

Thanks to John for sharing his Captiva home with guests. It is so hard to find a place where you can bring your dog along, and that helps to make this rental very special. Everything about this place is as advertised and pictured. The beach is a very short walk away and it is easy to imagine that you live here after a few days. Walkability is great - love the location. I hope to return when it is cooler! Thanks again, John.

Great space, great beach

We were so very happy with this clean, quiet place. Couldn’t ask for a better location, everything on Captiva within walking distance. So much wildlife so close, and the beach was so peaceful and pristine. Thanks for such a great stay!

Great location!

I can’t say enough about the location of this property! It is very close to the beach and very close to town as well as The Green Flash and Jensens‘s if you plan on doing any fishing charters. John, the owner, is super nice and made us feel welcome. I will definitely be going back!

Captiva near the beach

Apartment was clean and well supplied with necessary items. Beds were hard and a bit high to get into. The online description stated steps to beach but it was further than just steps. The beach was nice but had an invasion of bugs that bit ferociously! The space I had to park my car was too narrow and too close to shrubs that made it difficult to get in and out of car.

Great location!

Great location for a fair price! The home was clean, comfortable and looks just like it does in the pictures. It is located on a quiet street that is close to just about everything on Captiva Island. The owner was quick to respond to any questions. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning!

Camp Captiva

Excellent location- walk to everything less than 10 minutes. Beach only a couple of minutes- as close as you can get without being beachfront. Very quiet! No complaints- would book again.

Beautiful beach

Futher to the beach then we thought.Shower floor very slippery. Furniture very comfortable, Interesting set up. Beds were very very hard but that’s okay for many oeople,so not complaining, couch was very comfortable to sleep on. Beautiful neighborhood,and owner very nice also.

Great As Always

My beloved and I are repeaters. The location is perfect, short walks to the gulf/intercoastal waters. John is always a gracious host. You can’t beat this Captiva location that is affordable and where you can bring your dog.

Park the car and enjoy the wonder of Captiva

My partner and I stayed for 2 weeks and never moved the car. Beach access is about 500 steps from the apartment and the heart of Captiva is a 5 minute walk. The apartment has a private courtyard and both are attached to the owners home but have a separate private entrance. We had dinner at Mucky Duck, RC Otters (with live music) and the Green Flash. All were excellent. There’s an Island Store which does an excellent job with provisions and any alcohol you might need. All in all if you’re looking for a nice relaxing beach with dolphins, pelicans and plenty of bike paths for exercise, and enjoy a quiet relaxing time, look no further. Thank you, John, for your hospitality.

Captiva getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Chapin Lane apartment. It was perfect for the 2 of us and within walking distance to many attractions. Short walk to the beach, although the weather didn’t cooperate for the majority of the week.

A piece of paradise

We had a great time! The host was top notch and health permitting we will be back next year. I have absolutely nothing but good things about this place. You won’t be disappointed at all. John is the best host which also helps!

Captiva Paradise on Chapin Lane

This 2 bedroom apartment has all the comforts of home and is just steps away from the beach. Its location is close to the island store, great restaurants and check in was so easy. It was our pleasure to meet John (the owner) and we would definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful week on Captiva!

John was great and understanding. We needed Wi-Fi but the post Ian hurricane status was making that

Overall great stay and location. Post Ian Wi-Fi issues was a problem but John was great to us and provided updates. We had a great trip and we will be back.

Quaint and secluded

Great location on Captiva with minutes walk to the beach and Mucky Duck and the Bubbleroom. Great communication with the property manager. Will stay here again in the future
