Perfect spot for Navy Graduation

This was a great stay. Cute house with all the amenities . The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything. Definitely recommend for any families coming in for Navy graduations, the house is five minutes away from Great Lakes Navy base.

RTC GRADUATION

This was the PERFECT location for my son's RTC Graduation. Literally 5 minutes or less, straight shot to the gate. The house is not perfect, but it worked perfect for us.

Great location for Navy families

We stayed for 4 nights, quiet neighborhood, super close to the base, host is awesome and a long time resident of the area. Great place for bigger groups coming to see loved ones graduating from the Navy!

Perfect location for navy bootcamp graduation

Only good thing was location of the home in convenience to navy graduation. Neighborhood is sketchy, heard gunshots very nearby. Tv in main living room had hard time staying connected to streaming was very frustrating, otherwise ok stay.

Excellent property, outstanding host!

This was my first booking with VRBO, we were in Chicago for my niece's Navy graduation. Sam, the host, was extremely communicative. I had sent him a question in the inbox and he called me within 3 minutes. The property is spacious, only 4 minutes from base and very close to a multitude of restaurants. Very clean, kitchen was not lacking in glasses / plates / accessories. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend Sam's house. Thank you again, Sam!!

Close great lakes

Is about 2 miles from great lakes for graduation. Layout is different. Sleeps 11 seats 5 or 6 in the living room, big table...half bath in kitchen...is cold in the winter...have to park in the back...walk around to front.can parknon the street but not overnight. The main bathroom with tyb sbower is high but has handrail. It snowed while we were there...owner shoveled sidewalk once. Overall it suit our need..its not high end but it was nice. Plenty of towels...no wash clothes...clean..

It was perfect for our needs

We were in North Chicago for PIR. It is less than 2 miles to the ceremony (we walked to avoid traffic and parking), there are ample rooms and beds for a family crew. Space to cook and serve and lounge about while your sailor decompresses. Restaurants are near enough (we got pizza from LouMalnatis in Gurnee), and grocery stores were close too. Communication was spot on, every time I had a question, they were on top of it (no issues, just questions)

Perfect place for Navy graduation

The home is beautiful and served our family very well! We had 6 adults and there was plenty of room. Price was great and Sam is a joy to work with. He’s very responsive and checked on us. The base is like 3-5 minutes away. So convenient! Thanks so much Sam!

House was missing basic amenities- pans were small, no towels or rags in kitchen, and 3 of the 4 nights local law enforcement were called by others due to on going domestic disturbances House did basic job.... a place to stay, sleep, and eat ...

The property was in an okay neighborhood. A little further and it started to get sketchier. The house needed to more cleaning. It needed vacuumed and swept better. The most disappointing was that there were very little dishes in the kitchen to use which is a main reason we rent a VRBO. It was extremely frustrating. It’s a great location to Great Lakes navy grad. I was impressed that they supplied trash bags and paper products. One room looked to be an addition, it got a little cold. Heaters were provided tho. I didn’t like not having access codes til I was in Chicago and trying to reach owners. All in all, it was great.

Son’s Naval Graduation

This was the perfect property for anyone that is attending the naval graduation ceremonies. It’s about a 5 minute drive from where the ceremony is held yet in a very quiet neighborhood. It was the perfect location for all of us to be together and celebrate without having to coordinate hotels, restaurants, etc. The host was amazingly nice and quick to respond to any questions we had. Was even flexible on my check in and check out times, although I didn’t end up needing them, it was still nice to know that they would let me. I would def stay again. A++++

Clean House

The house was very clean. The floor appeared to be newly waxed. There was a bathroom in the kitchen. That didn’t sit well with me. The chemicals used to clean the house were very strung , and I kept a migraine and nauseous feeling the entire time. The neighborhood was scary. It appeared to be slightly in the hood. The house directly behind it was suspect. When we woke up and walked to the back of the house where we parked, the little shed behind the property had a pair of shoes, with black gloves stashed under it, in a very obvious and conspicuous way. That totally freaked me out.
