The Hemlock House was perfect for our stay. This is the second time we've stayed there, and will again the future. Wes' instructions were clear and easy to follow and he responded to my communications immediately. As advertised and as others have mentioned, it is not a fancy place but is clean and comfortable. In other words, everything we needed for our ski trip to ABR. Thanks again Wes!
I loved this house! It had so many great features and was an amazing place to stay! The host was very communicative and helpful! I will stay here any time Iâm in the area! Highly recommend!
A very cute house that reminds you of grandmas. It had everything we needed for our stay. Location is excellent for accessing the many area activities.
We had a great time staying at this rental, and the host was very easy to contact if we had any issues. Spacious and very comfortable bedrooms. Will stay here again next time we come back.
The place was dusty! There was no ice, only 2 pods of coffee, only two small creams, only a 1/2 roll of toilet paper for a family of 4. No extra rolls of toilet paper were had. We asked for another roll of toilet paper and it never came. He said he would bring a roll and it never came. The outdoor facade of the house is in desperate need of paint! If there was rain the driveway there would have been a muddy mess and would have been tracked into the house. The outside stairs to house are steep. Railings are needed! The bathtub was slippery and lacked hand supports. Online communication with owner was difficult. This place needs reevaluated by VBRO.
The home is as described, has everything you need for an overnight stay. Wes is easy to communicate with. This is my second time staying and will definitely be back again!
We stayed here a 2nd time and just like the first time, had an excellent time! This is the place that I will keep coming back to due to the comfort and space the house has to offer.
The family came into town with the intent of exploring the area for relocating to ironwood. Owner was super friendly and the place was in a fantastic location.
We stayed a short time but I enjoyed it. The house was very old and definitely had character but cozy. The property manager would respond immediately if I needed anything. Would definitely go back.
We stayed for a week last summer at the same property, so we knew what to expect. The owner continues to be very helpful, friendly, and communicative. It's not what you would call a modern or deluxe place, but it doesn't have to be. It's a lot like staying at the house of your aunt or uncle or some other relative - it's a place where you can relax and live and take day trips from. That's what we wanted, and it's what we got.
We had a hard time to.open the door. We surveyed the property exterior and saw broken windows, cobwebs generally rundown. My sister refused to enter but she saw the second floor covered in loose boards (dangerous), I walked through to LR where a rug had been removed revealing years of dog pee soaked in the wood, the strong odor of mold (this is a serious health issue) was everywhere. I could not imagine laying down in the dirty linens. I went no further because the smell forced me out. Filthy
We had a great time at Wesâ house in Ironwood, MI. We enjoyed the homey atmosphere with many laid-back activities, like grilling food for dinner and watching movies at night while munching on popcorn. It was a quick drive to the beach at Lake Superior. We hiked a nature trail one day, and went to town center for food, coffee and farmersâ market. Loved the quiet and serenity of the north woods. Bed was extremely comfortable. It had everything we were in search of to get away from the noise and stresses of the city. We would be delighted to visit again!
Peeling paint everywhere. Stinky dirty stale air with plastic on all windows in the middle of summer with black garbage bags taped up on some. This house needs MAJOR work BEFORE anyone should be allowed to stay. We had one roll of toilet paper for 4 of us Yuck.
