Amazing Family Getaway

Our family of 5 had a great time at this beautiful property. We enjoyed eating and hanging out in the screened in porch every evening. The kids had a blast fishing and swimming in the lake. Close to Holiday World too.

Little slice of heaven! We stayed here to attend a wedding at Matilda’s Event Barn. It was idyllic, so pretty with the fall colors and glassy lake. We loved hanging out in the porch with blankets (early November). Everything was very accommodating, temperature control in both sleeping rooms. Simple check and out. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We’re keeping this in mind for the summer!

Beautiful, relaxing, private property. Host was quick to respond with any issues we encountered. Check in was great. House was clean. The house is also fully stocked with anything you could possibly want or need. Great stay!

This place has it All!! It’s better than the listing states:) the owners were quick to respond and so kind helping with every question we had! The house was better than we hoped with all the extras! Close to Holiday world ( 15 min) but the property itself was just heaven:)

Lake cabin

Cabin is very clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful setting and the hosts were so easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back again!!

Grandkids getaway

What a great place we enjoyed the lake everyday and the Tiki hut was great place to hang out at as the grandkids enjoyed the diving board it was very peaceful at night by the firepit . Would highly recommend we will be back

A Time Away

Our family needed a chance to get away from the fast pace of life and this little cabin was just what we needed. Our hosts were absolutely amazing! The property is beautiful. We were still able to eat out close by or do some shopping but coming back to this peaceful cabin to fish, swim, and just relax was the best!

Fall Family Weekend

There was a beautiful fall view. Fishing was great, and it was so exciting for the grandkids. The property was clean and very well-kept inside and out. Could have skipped Holiday World and enjoyed Lakeside Cabin, which had plenty to do, or relaxed and enjoyed some quiet time outdoors.

Lovely property with so much to enjoy onsite - lake for fishing, kayaking, swimming. Hot tub. Outdoor grilling. Golf cart for touring property. Easy access to surrounding communities. Near Santa Claus, Lincoln’s boyhood home, wineries. So relaxing.

A place by the water

Great place to stay for a quiet weekend on the water. The house itself was on the small size but other then that no complaints. The house was stocked well and we needed nothing while we were there. The wine left by the owners was a nice touch. Owners were very accommodating. Would recommend and stay again.

Secluded Paradise

Beautiful country property, great fishing and waterplay for the grandkids. Owner was just a text message away for any problems.(we didn't have any, everything was set up and ready). Enjoyed Holiday world which was minutes away, Lincoln park, minutes away, and mamoth cave about an hour away. With 5 grandkids age 2 to 15 the cabin brought the very peace me and the wife needed.

What an amazing place!

Beautiful property ! Caught many fish, watched turtles, deer , toads n skinks. Took rides in the golf cart. This grandma even swam from the dock to the Tiki bar with my nephew, he jumped off the board, I watched ( 😁). We grilled, got in the hot tub, the most enjoyable get away I’ve experienced in a long time. Family friendly, would definitely recommend. Andy and Sara were such accommodating hosts and always quick to return communications. Will definitely return, family loved it so much we hope to make it a tradition.

Our Getaway

We loved the property. Everything was clean and had everything we could ever need right there. We had a fabulous time and loved every minute there. If I were to have any negatives it would be that we wish the hot tub faced the water as we felt we didn't have a beautiful view while in there and during the rainy times that forced us inside, the living room furniture was not very comfortable. These are really nitpicky items however as the place was gorgeous and wonderful!!! We would definitely go back.

Private Perfection

This is THE CLEANEST property we’ve ever rented! It was stocked with everything you could possibly need -from sunscreen and life jackets, to cleaning & paper supplies and everything in between. Small lake/large pond was all yours! Lots of fun activities from swimming to kayaking to fishing to a tiki bar. Beds were comfortable, hot tub relaxing. Cornhole, card games, smart tv, fire pit w/ beach, picnic shelter, patio fire table, screened porch… if you get tired of the water. Local area attractions to explore if you could pull yourself away from the property. Only regret is we wish we could have stayed longer!

Great getaway, close to Holiday World

Do not pass on this listing. The house is quiet, clean, and restful. We took out kids and a friend for each of them. They loved the outdoor activities. They spent most waking moments in the lake, swimming or kayaking. We went to Holiday World twice, and it is an easy 15 minute drive. The kitchen had almost everything you would need, we cooked all of our meals there. The fishing was great, caught some huge bluegill, small and large mouth bass. The hot tub was an added bonus to wind down after the amusement park. Be sure to keep an eye out for the chubby little chipmunk that likes to hang out under the deck!

Summer Getaway

This property was exactly as listed and described and more! The ease of fishing, swimming, and kayaking was what made this trip. My 14 yo enjoyed sitting around the fire each night, my 12 yo loved being able to wake up and immediately go fishing since there was an easy place to keep his supplies right by the dock, and my 8 yo enjoyed learning how to kayak. We all enjoyed the tiki dock since there was a floating mat you could lay/sit on. There is only one bathroom but even with 4 adults and 4 kids it was easy to take turns (we were in an island state of mind and didn’t need to rush anywhere). The gravel driveway could be a concern if you don’t have a front wheel/awd vehicle-but it is also what makes this place so peaceful. We would definitely stay again-in fact my kids didn’t want to leave for a few more days and neither did we.

AMAZING!

This property is wonderful! Fishing, boating, kayaking, fire pit, swimming, hot tub…it has it all! Our family had an amazing 4th of July weekend together. We most definitely will be back!

Family Fishing Paradise

If you are looking for a private and peaceful location to take your family to relax and do some kayaking, fishing, swimming, or just unplugging outside for a few days--this is the place. I read the reviews before booking because I was really trying to find somewhere I could almost guarantee my kids could catch some fish. Well, 102 fish later-- Mission Accomplished. The weather and temperature cooperated during our stay for optimal fishing. The property is very well maintained you can tell the owners take great pride in it.

Property 5/5! Pond/lake clean and banks well tended/mowed. Plenty of toys: floats/kayaks/golf cart/hot tub/diving board/docks all in good shape. However the interior of cabin was not as expected. The space would work well for a family with many children, not adults. Unfortunately 1 of the 3 window AC units was not operating making the living room, kitchen, and bathroom hot especially when cooking. Fortunately we had multiple fans to move air. Grill worked well but had no tongs/spatula to work great. I didn't pay attention, so fair warning grocery and restaurants are far away 30min drive. (Santa Claus/ holiday world is not a large town with many options).

Great family getaway

My family and I wanted to get away for Christmas and the Lakeside Cabin was perfect! The host were quick with their correspondence and everything was easy to use and find. There’s already been some discussion of a summer trip to take better advantage of the pond and kayaks.

Great Fall Getaway

The property and grounds are well maintained. Communication with the owners was prompt and helpful. My family had a great time fishing, boating and kayaking. We plan to come back again.
