My group and I had another wonderful stay at the Bay Cottage! The space is sparkling clean when we arrived and the location cannot be beat. Tara is also very responsive and attentive which makes for an even better stay!

10/10 Stay!
The cottage never disappoints! The location cannot be beat and the space is cozy and clean. Tara is wonderful host and is extremely communicative and caring!
Cozy and Qwaint would've stayed longer if there is availability. Love the apple trees. We picked of few of them in the morning and cook them up for breakfast with a little bit of oatmeal instant pack they provided
Property was a short walking distance to the beach. Then you walked a long flight of stairs down to the beach.
Bedrooms barely had enough room to maneuver on sides.
Was sufficient for our overnight
Hi Karen,
Thanks for choosing to stay in our Cape Cod cottage by the Bay, built back when people weren't as big as they are now. I'm so sorry you didn't like the stairs down to the beach - those are there due to erosion. And that's unfortunate because the Cape is beautiful and enjoyed by many that appreciate it. Perhaps you are better suited for a hotel up Cape in Hyannis somewhere. Cheers!
Place was great for us and the kids. It's small but enough room where you don't feel cooped up and ar bumping into eachother. House is clean and stocked with everything you need (linens, towels, beach supplies and even sunscreen) unlike many other places. Beach was great at high tide to swim. Low tide was nice but had to walk really far out to cool off. Was happy to have AC/minisplit to cool off with this heat. Would definitely come again.
The Bay Cottage never disappoints. I have been coming to the Cape since I was 8 years old. My grandparents got me hooked. To this day, I still stay in the same cottage they rented back in the day. A few major changes all for the good, but deep down inside, this is still the same cottage I remember. In fact, I can still remember the original way the cottage looked, with the large spring on the door that always slammed shut if you didn't hold the door, or just the sound of the spring creaking as you opened the door. What I really remember and miss dearly is the Target Ship that was out in the Bay. My brother and I would run down the street to watch the planes fly really low and drop their bombs onto the ship. You could even hear the whistling noise the bombs made as they were let go from the planes. Nothing beats low tide where you can walk miles just to get to the water. I always tell my friends that visit, when it's low tide, it looks like someone had just pulled the plug from the bathtub, there is no water unless you want to walk; way out to get your feet wet. Once they saw the low tide, they always said I wasn't kidding. Eastham and Bay Cottage on Thumpertown Rd will always hold a special place in my heart. The cottage is well maintained, and the personalized gift bags is always a huge hit. I can't wait for next year's vacation; I know Eastham and The Bay Cottage will not disappoint!!!!
Beautiful cozy cottage perfect for couples or small families. Short walk to the bay side beach, perfect for capturing those sunsets.Heart of Cape Cod team did a wonderful job making sure everything was spotless prior to our arrival. Tara and her team think of everything. Forgot something? Donât worry she probably has it waiting for you in the cottage. Nice walkable neighborhood with restaurants and shops 5 minutes away. Nice outdoor area for relaxing post hike/ swim. Host stays in contact regularly, making my first Vrbo experience a breeze. Would 100% book with Tara again for our next trip to the Cape!
We loved our stay at this adorable little beach cottage! Its location couldn't be better - just a short 5-min walk to Thumpertown Beach where you can enjoy gorgeous sunsets. Tara was super responsive and gave lots of great food recommendations. Would stay here again and recommend it to a couple or small group looking to stay in Eastham!
Well maintained, great grounds, responsive owner/host, highly recommended to couples & small families. Would think that renting all of owners' 3 properties with multiple couples/relatives would make for a great weekend!
It was a wonderful cozy spot for our short stay at Cape Cod. The location was perfect and the cottage was very clean. The owners were lovely enough to leave us a few snacks that were local to the Cape (we really enjoyed them). Overall, itâs a great property to stay in!
