As you walk up to the front door, you are greeted by a welcoming, sunny screened-in porch and outdoor deck, comfortably furnished and appointed to enjoy the ocean breezes over coffee or a cool drink. The porch/breezeway runs the entire length of the house and has two remote-controlled ceiling fans, so you can enjoy the outdoors even on a hot day.
Walk through the French doors into the main cabin of this windjammer-style home, which opens into an open living space. The living, dining, and kitchen areas have rustic wood floors and stylish coastal cottage furnishings. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with beautiful white wood cabinets, granite countertops, and new appliances, and it is fully equipped for those who love to cook.
The primary bedroom has a king bed and an updated full bathroom with golden pine wainscotting and high ceilings. There are two additional bedrooms across the breezeway, one with a king bed and the other with a queen and twin. There is another bathroom and a half across the hallway (shower only – no tub).
The house has a spacious backyard with a full-size deck surrounded by beautiful trees and plants, perfect for family and friends to gather and enjoy the great outdoors. The high-end patio furnishings include a dark wicker chat area with seating for 4-6 to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine, two wicker lounge chairs for sunning off-beach, and table and chairs that seats 6 for alfresco dining on a starry summer night. The backyard is surrounded on three sides by a 6-foot privacy fence.
The home has individually controlled A/C in each room, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker, blender, and off-street parking for approx. 2-3 cars. Six beach chairs are provided.
Maximum occupancy 7. Beaches have lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 10 to 5 pm daily, and dogs are permitted on the beach before 10 am and after 5 pm. Street parking is available with a Dewey Beach parking pass that can be purchased at Town Hall or the Police Station on Rodney Street. Movies on the Beach and Family Bonfire are held on Monday and Wednesday nights in the season. A permit for private beach fires can be purchased from Town Hall.
LOCATION: Rehoboth By The Sea Area. Just one and a half blocks from the beach!
PARKING: Private driveway for approx. three cars.
AMENITIES: The property has an outdoor shower, a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, a huge rear deck with a gas grill, and a combo lockbox for easy check-in and check-out.
THINGS TO KNOW: Linens are not supplied. However, we offer a rental package to guests. Two dogs are permitted with a pet fee. No smoking on premises.Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the "Damage Waiver"). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
