The Emerald cottage is a charming, fully renovated 1950s beach cottage one block to the beach! Hear ocean waves from the master bedroom w/ a queen bed, en-suite bath & claw foot tub. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck or gather together in the open living area. There’s a hall bath & guest bedroom with desk area too! Unique & cozy, this cottage has it all with modern amenities, family fun, bikes a fire-pit, hot tub, a 3 minute walk to the beach access at the end of both streets on either side of the cottage! It’s pet friendly & close to city center!

There are 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with an outdoor shower as well, to clean off after the fun beach days! The master bedroom en suite has a queen bed with clawfoot tub, water closet, pedestal sink and closet. The hall bath is next to the guest bedroom that has a double bed with a closet and a desk area to work from home. Call bathhouse a tile shower, toilet and sink. The stackable washer and dryer are in the hallway next to the bathroom for your convenience while staying in the cottage. The cottage is fully renovated with all new appliances. There are TVs in both bedrooms and a large TV in the living room for those cozy movie nights together. Private backyard with outdoor seating for your morning coffee or grill dinner on the deck, and a hot tub for relaxing and the firepit for fun cozy nights! And with tons of beach gear for all the beach days and bikes, exploring is a breeze! Public beach access is just down the block so the walk is about 3 minutes. What more could you ask for!

We loved this cottage! It was so clean, well put together, and the beach access was perfect. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone. Stacy communicated with us early and often. We always knew exactly what was going on prior to check in and she made the check out process very easy as well.

Great location. Very quick walk to public access to get to the beach. Living area was very comfortable. The overall space is very quaint and the decor is charming but felt tight for only two people and two dogs. Yard is in need of some maintenance. Kitchen has a really small fridge and stove is more suitable for an RV.

My family had a wonderful stay at this quaint boho cottage. The location and decor were as listed. We loved the private location. You can’t see the ocean from the property but you can hear it and the secludedness of it made it special. The area is safe and walk to the beach was easy. All of the necessities were as listed. I highly recommended staying at the Emerald Cottage. The hostess was informative with details and responsive. We would love to return again.

Weekend Getaway

Super cute place, just the right size for us. Easy access to the beach and the wagon, cooler, beach chairs & umbrella were very convenient. Emerald Isle is a beautiful area with big beach. Good restaurants nearby. We loved our stay.

My wife and I stayed for a quick babymoon before our first child arrives. The house was great. Very clean and comfortable and with a neat decor. Close to the breach and a short trip to all the good restaurants. The host was great as well, with excellent communication.

Lovely Emerald Isle Cottage

Cottage was nice and cozy and short walk to beach. On-site in utility shed, they provide a beach wagon, chairs, umbrella and bikes all very useful during our stay. Stacy was very attentive to our needs during our stay. Thank you Stacy ;).

Excellent vacation

Review House was a little hard to find because the GPS wasn’t accurate but the pictures really helped and the owners were super helpful. From the moment I walked in I was excited about the cottage. The alexa music was on playing softly which immediately created a vibe. The rooms are beautiful. They were a touch smaller than I expected but that doesn’t take away from the beauty or feeling of spaciousness. The open floor plan of the living room, kitchen and dining room make it feel larger. The small touches make it feel very comfortable and homey, yet exciting. There are dog bowls!!! This made me feel like my dog was a wanted guest instead of an accommodation. I didn’t realize there was a hot tub until I arrived!! It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach, which was almost empty during my visit (April). I honestly wish I lived here. Hosts are very generous and responsive.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage! It was the perfect size for the four of us and our two dachshunds. I will never forget this trip since it is the first time our dogs have gone on vacation with us and the first time they have ever seen the ocean. The location of the cottage is ideal since you can walk to the beach in a few minutes and you can hear the waves crashing from the house, especially in the evening. The beds were very comfortable. The extra touches and decorations inside the house were so charming and made you feel like you are at the beach. The communication with Stacy, the host, was top notch. She always responded to any questions that I had and was very pleasant and helpful. You will not be disappointed if you book this cottage. The hot tub was an extra bonus. I also loved the fact that there is a walking/biking path in front of the house, which was perfect for my early morning runs and was also great to walk our dogs and ride bikes that were also provided. Thank you so much, Stacy for making our stay in Emerald Isle one that we will never forget!

Best for couples or a single traveler

Cons: -Despite being cute, the shower in the master bedroom was not very functional for us, so we used the shower in the second bathroom instead. For parties of more than two, this could be an issue. Even for a small person, it is pretty tight. A frameless glass door instead of a shower curtain might open up the space some. -Our older dog had difficulty navigating the yard because it was unmaintained, and she repeatedly fell into the weeds. This caused her to get a tick that she passed on to my husband. -The outside shower could be more functional if a platform or concrete slab was built so that you don't have to use it in the dirt. -A cockroach was spotted in the master bedroom the night before we checked out. Despite our efforts, it always retreated into the gaps between the shiplap, so we were not able to catch it. -The hot tub was dirty. The host said someone would come to clean it, but that did not happen until the morning we checked out. -For less than we paid for four nights, we could have rented a larger, newer home closer to the beach for an entire week. Pros: -The home was clean and the pictures were accurate. -The decor is very cute and matches the 1950s theme. -The host provided many wonderful recommendations for nearby places to eat and things to do. These could be compiled into a binder and left for guests at check-in. -In the shed, there were beach gear and bikes that were helpful. -The location was good and close to a walking trail and the beach.

Cozy Fall Visit

My family travels to the area fairly often and we do enjoyed our time in this cozy home; it’s very close to public beach access for walking and otherwise close to the beach-y visitor attractions :) The house itself is adorable, cozy, and enjoyable to stay in. Communication was great, too!

Perfect Beach Getaway!

I enjoyed my stay at this darling beach home. It’s so quaint and has every you need. Decor was done so nicely! Beach supplies available and fire pit in the yard looked great but rainy days made it difficult for me to use. Walk to beach in less than 5 min. Great area to bike and take long walks. I would love to return!!

My family had an excellent long weekend here. The cottage is so cozy and sweet. Just a short walk to the beach, while still feeling very private. The house has so many little touches that made it feel extra especial. The host was very kind and communicative. This is a wonderful place and I hope to visit again! Thank you!

Family Stay

We had a great stay at the cottage with our three children and dogs. There was plenty of sleeping room for everyone. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for the week. I loved that the shed had all the beach essentials: wagon, chairs, beach umbrella so I didn't need to buy and hall those items with us :)
