We travled here with some youth from our church. Place was spacious and clean. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Rooms were clean and it had nice large common areas which was very nice. Host responded quickly to my questions before booking and made the process quick and easy.
House was great... not quite on the trail. It's a big cabin feel, , been lived In house and the living room was awesome. :)
Great for what we were doing as a family!
The host was super nice. :)
Excellent stay. Clean stocked house.Lori our manager and her husband were amazing .
The Windrock retreat was amazing. The house accommodated all our needs and then some. Clean and stocked with everything we needed. Our group cosisted of 4 couples and everyone was pleased with the stay. Only thing we would change would be maybe better lighting outside on deck and area where we parked our vehicles.
We had 7 in our group and there was lots of room for us. Lori was very responsive and helpful to our group.
Overall, a good experience.
We had to travel the paved road to a trailhead.
We visit Windrock often, staying 2-3 times per year to ride. Our usual cabin was booked for our big group, so we chose this home for the size and proximity to trails. The good-location is only about 10 minutes from the General store, the back deck is nice to relax on the evenings, and we loved the pool table downstairs. It was also a quiet area, with a pretty view of the mountains. The less than good-The home is much older and run down than it appears in the pictures. The beds are very uncomfortable. Quite a few things were broken (the microwave handle, several lamps, etc.) Just seems like itâs not up-kept very well. The toilets were all backed up when we arrived. I tried calling all day Saturday to find out how to check in (never received instructions until 15 minutes prior to arrival so that was bothersome) and to report the backed up toilets, and never received a response until the next morning when I got a message from the host telling me she was out of town with no service asking if i was able to get in the house (we did thankfully) Maintenance did come out that afternoon, but we continued to have issues with all but 1 toilet for the rest of our stay, keeping in mind the reason we booked a big home was for the space and additional bathrooms. Downstairs had a very strong mildew smell, and it wasnât the most pleasant, but I guess to be expected in a basement. It wasnât a terrible stay, but for the money it definitely seemed extremely overpriced.
Overall we were all disappointed with our stay at this cabin. It is very clean but very outdated & overpriced. None of us would stay here again. None of us liked the beds we slept in. Hereâs what we didnât like.
Microwave door handle broken
Top oven doesnât work
Top door digital code isnât working
Cooking Pans are old
Only Trail 29 connects to Half Moon road & itâs moderate difficulty
Master bed lamp flickers
Outlets are wore out & donât hold plug
Toaster is awful
Not enough silverware
Small toilets
All the beds are uncomfortable
The pool table needs to refelted & level, this was so disappointing that we didnât event want to play on it.
The fire alarms are plugged into outlets & are a strobe light, I hated this.
