Ferguson Farmhouses on Oak Lake with 176 feet of shoreline in Kerrick Minnesota.
Ferguson Farmhouse originally had 282 acres with over 10,000ft of lake shore. Today the private property has approximately 3 acres and 176 feet of shoreline on Oak Lake. Its on a private dead end road. The best place to be in the morning is in the porch watching the sunrise. While drinking coffee with friends and family. The sunsets are amazing from the end of the driveway. it is approximately 35-40 minutes south of Duluth and 1&1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities. It was voted one of top 16 fishing lakes in Minnesota in 2021. Just click on second link below to see the article. Iâm looking forward to hosting you during your stay. Ron and Kelley.
The cabin is clean , updated and stocked well. It has plenty of room to spread out. The lake is a great size and beautiful. We loved the sauna and outdoor shower
Although the property is updated, it retains the characteristics of a farmhouse. The kitchen was updated, but still had, what look like, original built-ins. The bathrooms were updated, but the bedrooms looked original with hardwood floors, solid wood doors, and antique hardware. The lake was good and almost empty on Thursday and Friday. It got busier on Saturday (about 10 boats), but still didn't feel busy. We didn't get a chance to try out the sauna. The owner was responsive, check-in and access were easy. Overall we had a great time at the property.
Quiet, lovely place only a short drive from the cities. Great outdoor space, plenty of bedrooms and places to sit. Beds were comfortable. Lake was great for swimming and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards.
We had a fun time staying here with friends â the place was comfortable and perfect for a group getaway. However, one thing that bothered us was that the listing didnât mention anything about cameras on the property. As a group, we felt a little violated finding out about them after arriving. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the space for our trip.
Beautiful property and so neat to stay in this old farmhouse. The kids really got a kick out of it. The lake was perfect and the pontoon was great to use on the lake.
We very much enjoyed our week on Oak Lake! The property is beautiful with many opportunities for activities (basketball, yard games, bonfires, horseshoes, etc.!)
We enjoyed relaxing sunset cruises on the pontoon, evenings roasting s'mores on the patio, and many meals on the included Blackstone griddle.
The area is close to many attractions. We visited Moose Lake State Park and enjoyed a day trip to Duluth.
The house was charming, clean and comfortable! We had ample space for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids. It was a nice getaway with many of the comforts of home.
Thank you to the owners for sharing your property with us!
The farm house was great. We especially enjoyed renting the pontoon from Ron. All communication with Ron was easy and timely. Having the portable fire pit on the patio right outside the back door was nice. We also made use of the Blackstone grill. We had fun with all of the available games such as cornhole and croquet. We didn't use the available sauna, but I'm sure many folks do.
