Small quaint cabin if you're looking for a quiet weekend in the woods. No cell service so if you want to be where no one can reach ya this is the place. We played cards and games all weekend. Couldnt get the DVD player to work but other than that enjoyable quiet weekend.
This little cabin was in a great location to State Parks and Forests. We were also able to spend part of our day in Duluth. Nice big yard and fire pit!
We really enjoyed staying here. It was within 30-35 min drive from 3 state parks. It was perfect for us plus our dog. We had a nice little fire one night. It was nice and private.
Inside of the cabin was great. The living room area is larger than it looks in the pictures. The dogs loved having room to run around and we didnât run into any while there (preferable). Bathroom could use some work, but itâs functional and did everything we needed.

Perfect place in a convenient location
We arrived in the evening and had a couple questions about the place. Katie was quick to call and discuss things. The cabin itself is cozy and had plenty of fans and AC to keep us cool after long days of adventuring. Neighbors were quiet which was nice. We had everything we needed. Would recommend!
Rustic cabin on dead end road near other houses, bar and general store. Reasonable rates, has basics you will need. Separate building with bathroom, ran small AC unit and fans to stay somewhat cool.Good place for couple...or a few kids.
1st time ever using VRBO and couldn't have been happier. We weren't sure how the check in process was going to go but we were pleasantly surprised to see that we just show up and doors open. Never met the owner but we didn't need to. The cabin was very clean and nicely organized for anything we needed to find. If ever in the same area I would absolutely stay here again.
Thanks for a great stay
The location is great for us visiting relatives at a nearby campground. I am kind of scared to use the bathroom in the dark by myself. That and the front blinds and screen door in disrepair are really the only downsides. They have literally everything you might need.
We stayed over the 4th of July weekend, and really enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was very clean, and cozy. Lots to do nearby. Went to dinner and Duluth, hiked at Banning State Park, cooled off at Moose Lake Beach, and had a good time sitting around a fire roasting s'mores. I would highly recommend this place, the hosts were wonderful. They answered questions almost immediately via email. Very on top of things. Loved our stay, it's what our family needed.
beautiful setting, lots of wildlife, cute cottage, well kept, right around the corner from general store, bar n grille and atv trails- very convenient some dishes not so clean, some pet hair lingering around cabin. Window AC is not able to keep up with daytime warming cabin temps, grateful for box fans used them at night in open windows and doors to cool things down. Wifi was great, we enjoyed getting away for a couple days.
We really liked it. Nice little cabin that we will use again. It would be great to have a deck on the side with the door and then steps that go down to the outdoor bathroom. Lots of sand around there and gets dragged in cabin. But peaceful and loved listening to the trains and just sitting outside. Four wheeled and hit the up north establishments. Thanks for the fun.
This little house was perfect for our weekend getaway to enjoy the surrounding state parks (Moose Lake and Banning). It is comfortable and has everything you need--plenty of towels, linens and kitchen supplies. We enjoyed grilling the majority of our meals, but don't underestimate that stove. It is small but mighty. Weather permitting, you can enjoy meals on the deck (which we did as often as possible). The adjacent bathroom house was beautifully done. Don't let the idea of a compost toilet scare you--there were no odors and it was easy to use. If you want a low-key cabin to enjoy it "up North," this is your place!
Nice place but misinformed about WiFi initially. Lots of accumulated dust on ceilings and fan. Baking sheet did not fit in stove. Bed was very uncomfortable. Liked being by Nemagi forest. Hot pad was crusted with old food. Counters and pans were greasy. The cabin was cute.
Nice little cabin with a really great deck and bathroom but the cabin was very dirty. Not messy, things were put away and easy to find, overall very well appointed. But again, dirty. Grimy windows, cobwebs, greasy lint on the living room ceiling fan and ceiling itself. The rug needed vacuuming and the garbage can was full with an additional full bag next to it. These things really matter to some people. There were positives for sure but it is hard to relax in a dirty place.
When Looking at the listing, I thought this would be a great place to take my bride for our one-year anniversary. unfortunately, the house (both inside and outside) was a bit of a mess. There were crumbs on the counter, dust on the window sills, and the outside looked dilapidated. This didn't bother us at first until we went into the bathroom, in the separate building, and found that its shower was yellow and looked like it has ever been properly cleaned. Looking at this, we did not know if we could trust the rest of the estate, so we left. We never stayed so we are wanting a refund.
