AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The place was a wreck. They had scheduled an open house to sell the property at the same time we were supposed to be there. One of the beds was unmade, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirt all over the floor, no basic amenities like paper towels or a dish sponge. Total disaster. Asked for some money back, owner promised he would, never heard from him again

Great Stay

Had a blast reserving this place for 2 days. Host was kind, understanding, and helpful from beginning till the end, and property was wonderful, with a large living space, clean rooms, and great kitchen. Could not ask for nothing more.

Great Location

The vrbo was exactly what me and my wife were looking for when planning our trip. It's one of the few places you'll find in the east bay that will accommodate a group of friends and you won't regret renting this place.

Perfect for a birthday party

Great stay! We needed a large space that could fit about 15 adults and 5 small kids for a birthday party. Unfortunately had some troubles with the oven that we couldn't resolve, but the host was very responsive and helpful. Would absolutely stay again- loved the location and vibe.

Thanksgiving stay

The house suited our family of 3 couples perfectly. Chris was an amazing host and went above an beyond most other hosts I have encountered. The location is near great hiking trails for dogs and the town is close by. We enjoyed our 5 nights staying here!

This rental has all you need with plenty of space. If you’re looking to stay in the Oakland hills this is the spot for you. Beds were comfortable and the decks were great!

Perfectly met our needs

The house was very clean and very well equipped. We fully enjoyed our stay. The homeowner was highly responsive, checked in regularly, and was very accommodating to our needs. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic getaway in the hills of Oakland

A very well appointed and private home in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed there for my son's wedding which was in Tilden Park (in Berkeley). Plenty of room for the 3 couples that stayed with ample parking on the street above.

Well Equipped home nestled in the hills

Chris was a great host accommodating & super responsive. His listing was a great weekend stay for my family while they were visiting. He even out out toys for the little toddlers to play with during the stay. I would highly recommend booking this place!

Amazing getaway

We had an amazing time at the house. Tucked away from the usual Bay Area crazy it was the perfect place for a small get together with friends/family to celebrate special event. Chris made everything so easy - one of the best hosts I've ever encountered. Perfect experience in my book!

Great Space. Great Location

Chris's place was the perfect venue to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The house is spacious yet cozy. Perfect for entertaining and relaxing. Chris responded immediately to all text messages and checked in a few times to make sure things were going well. I would definitely stay here again.

Family gathering

I chose this house for my family stay because it was close to my son’s wedding venue in Berkeley & also allowed gatherings. It was great for my son’s new in-laws to join us for an introductory dinner. The deck was great and the kitchen was well-equipped. Chris was very accommodating & even offered to purchase a baby gate for the stairs for my 20-mo. grandson. The two bedrooms were very nice but the third is with a pullout couch - which was comfortable. It was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Perfect for our family.

Surprise Game Night Party for my spouse

Chris was amazing, quick response times , very friendly !! His house is beautiful! The balcony areas were amazing !! The Beds were very comfy !! House was very clean , the house had all the essentials if needed. I definitely plan on staying at Chris’s house again.!

Brilliant Place to Stay

Location is super ideal, located close enough to campus that it's basically 15 minutes max drive. Host was super helpful and its super easy to check in. Rooms were super comfortable, very spacious for everyone. Also, one of the rooms had a really funny Goku poster that was a great laugh, really made us smile. Backyard is like having a wilderness view, we saw deer and rabbits at night which was so cool. Fantastic weekend and Chris is a brilliant host, couldn't have asked for more.

Lots of Living space for all of us

The home was great, lots of space with a great room, and outside patios up and downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked, roomy, and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and sparkling water. Chris set out some toys for our two grand kids which they loved! The location is beautiful, and views from the patio are lovely. Chris was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay there again, close to parks, shopping and downtown area.

What an epic spot for a staycation with friends!

What a gorgeous and well appointed home! We had a few friends in from out of town and wanted to do something special to host them and this was the PERFECT spot. The view from the upper deck is divine, and the kitchen and bar are a dream for making dinner and drinks for a small group. The beds are impressively soft, and it’s great that every bedroom has its own private bath. The location is so quiet and green and the neighborhood feels incredibly private and tucked away. Check in was seamless, and Chris was a very responsive and accommodating host throughout our brief stay. We are already dreaming of our next visit back to his beautiful home!

This place felt like home!

We stayed here because we had family Visiting and needed extra space. Chris’s stay was absolutely amazing! The house had everything you could possibly need and more! Plenty of utensils, a good variety of cook and bar ware, coffee, extremely comfy beds, a wide selection of channels/apps on all tvs and a flat top grill we used almost every night. We spent a lot of time soaking up the sun on both decks, which had great views and were pretty secluded. Chris even had wine for us on arrival! This place was extremely comfy and felt like home, my entire family enjoyed it here and we would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks so much for having us at your house!

Great venue and location

The location is beautiful and the home is ideal for family and entertaining. The host was very responsive to all of my messages. I hosted a small gathering the night before my son's wedding. It was great having the kitchen in the center so that I could place food on the counters for people to serve themselves. It would have been nice to have more seating at the table, but we made it work. The only other suggestion I would make would be to provide nicer bath products. There were partial containers of old soaps and shampoos and there was no soap in one of the showers. For the price of this rental, it wouldn't cost much to provide and would leave a better impression. Because this is an older home, it wasn't surprising to have a few malfunctions. The shower doors were difficult to open and close and didn't stay on their tracks very well. Other than that, I would happily rent this home again.

Perfect Experience

Me and 7 of my friends rented this place out for a night for our fantasy basketball draft. Chris was great and made sure we had everything we needed to check in! Following the check in, he even provided us with some snacks and gatorades to settle in. The place was very clean, with some of the best views I’ve seen in the Bay. Communication is key, and Chris was on top of it, even when the VRBO app was down. He mad a point to reach out via text and email to make sure we were ok. I would 100% rent this place again, and plan to do so for next year’s draft!
