Marthaâs abode was the perfect place to rest my head while enjoying the Texas Hill Country trails. Martha was a proactive, helpful, and thoughtful host. She even sent videos on how to work the antique heater â loved it! I would stay again if I return to the area.
This was our first time traveling with pets and the owner made it so much easier. Very communicative, and even answered the phone when I locked myself out at midnight on Thanksgiving.
This Kerrville backyard cottage is a wonderful place to stay while visiting the Hill Country of Texas. The cottage is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The location is in a nice neighborhood and convenient to shopping and restaurants. The host made sure our stay met our expectations which it did.
Stayed here after knee replacement surgery. Quiet and felt like out of town rather than in town. Close to hospital, doctor, and physical therapy. Martha, the host was excellent. It was also close to many restaurants for my husband to get take out for us.
Nice little cottage that was perfect for my needs. Martha was very nice and was great with communication and answering any questions I had. Thanks very much.
We enjoyed our stay in Kerrville and recommend this property. It is easy to find, in a nice neighborhood, and very close to everything that you may need. This is a smaller guest house that is behind a larger house also used as VRBO. There is plenty of separation between the houses and we did not feel cramped or even aware of other guests. The gate system worked very well. The door lock is reset for each guest. The yard is entirely and securely fenced, which our dog enjoyed. The beds were comfortable and linens were good. The kitchen was better stocked than most and everything worked. The living room furniture was generously sized and quite comfortable. All interactions with the host were prompt, responsive, and friendly.
There were a few minor problems. It is hot in July (duh) and the 2 window air conditioners struggled but managed to keep it cool. Ceiling fans helped a lot. The a/c in the bedroom blows right onto the bed which made it hard for me to sleep. There is one small wardrobe and two night stands but no dressers or closets for clothes. There are no laundry facilities or dishwasher -- to be fair, these were not listed as amenities but somehow I expected them anyway which was my error. My husband found the walk-in shower to be shorter and a bit smaller than he preferred; I thought it was delightfully cute and cozy.
We had a lovely time. The accomodation was cozy. The only thing not living up to expectation was an exterior shot of the house and gated yard. What I thought was a back, covered patio, was actually a front partial view. We did enjoy the bamboo enclosed area. Also, there was no bath and no photo of the shower only area of bath. In my opinion, a full photo of the exterior and bath would have been best, allowing first impressions to meet our expectations.
Also, there was not a broom available. It would have made it easier cleaning a split bowl of popcorn.
(The neighbors had an outdoor party with loud music going until almost midnight. It was nothing the hosts had any control over.)
We did have a nice stay.
