Sadly we had to evacuate due to Hurricane Helene (understanably!) so we only got a couple days in at the house. However in the couple days we were there the home was absolutely amazing. The location on St George island is just perfection. I would go back here in a heart beat.
The Property was wonderful, plenty of space for our 4 kids, their spouces and our 9 grandchildren. They bounced back and forth between the beach, pool and hot tub. We had inclement weather a couple of days and with the pool being partially covered, the grandkids did not miss a beat. The Property Managers were first class, great customer service.
The house was AMAZING! Beautiful! Well decorated! Perfect! Only draw back to entire property was close proximity of the neighbors, who happened to be rowdy. Otherwise, loved it!!
Layout, decks, pool - perfect
Loved the property in the Plantation at SGI. Three separate floors of living space made traveling with extended family easy. Dog friendly and the included beach rental credit was great. Excellent communication from rental company. Only downside to this property is the very late check-in time and the amount of bugs in and around the property. That being said, management company had their bug people come out and spray, unsolicited, throughout the week. We will absolutely consider staying here again in the future
For the cost of this house it should have been better stocked and maintained. We had to buy mats for the exterior doors so sand wasnât dragged inside, a connector for the hose that was broken, and shower caddies for the showers. There was no shelving in any of the showers so any shampoo, soap, etc had to go on floor or we had to buy shower caddies. Underneath the house was covered in sand as the âblower guyâ had stopped showing up apparently. Coffee maker was a mess. Septic backed up as well. So for the price, I would say there are much better options on the island.
