The house is in a great location, close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The beds are very comfortable and the house was clean. The wifi isn't the strongest at times. The indoor pool is very fun, we had a good time!

Everything you need is provided for, just bring snacks and a list of activities and excursions to enjoy your stay. In between activities, the house was a great base to relax and enjoy all its amenities; from the pool and hot tub to the games for the younger crew. Great Mountain View’s away from the masses in town for a quiet retreat. Perfect spot for s’mores and a fire overlooking beautiful mountain scenery. House was clean and had linens, towels, and fully equipped kitchen, not to mention a grill on the deck for barbecue cook outs.

This is a really neat property that fit our family needs very well. The property is easy to get to, and is in a great location. The pool and game room were great for the kids. The internet was not great for most of our stay due to issues with the ISP beyond the hosts’ control, but the hosts stayed in constant contact with us and the ISP and the issue was resolved. The hosts even sent us snacks and desert on our last night there. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

We enjoyed our stay at this property, but felt like there were a few improvements that could be made. The games in the game room did not all work, which was a disappointment to our kids. The house itself was nice, but there were Christmas decorations around inside and outside (we were there in August), the outdoor area was really overgrown with weeds and wasn't in the best shape, pin nails popped out on the steps, the pantry door (which was extremely heavy!) fell off the track and almost hurt one of our kids, and overall it just wasn't my favorite place we have stayed. We did reach out to the owner and received a message back within 24 hours, but the message just said they would fix things for next time. So we had to wear shoes the entire time to avoid stepping on nails. We travel at least once a month and are also VRBO owners, and I do wish someone had come out to fix the concerns we had being that we were there for an entire week with little ones. I do appreciate communication, and I will say there is a nice binder of info on the house available right online, which was very helpful at the initial check-in.

You never mentioned any issues with the games or the pantry door - I'd have been happy to send someone to fix them during your stay. The other issues which you did mention, you said, "This is no problem for us, just wanted to let you know so you could take care of it for the next guest" - and I mistakenly took that to mean you would prefer not to be disturbed during your stay. I would have been happy to send someone out if I'd thought you wanted that! Again, my apologies for the misunderstanding! We've taken steps to address all of these issues immediately after your stay. Cabin is well furnished, well stocked with everything we needed and then some. A lot of thought and effort has gone into this place to really feel like a home away from home. “On the Rocks” is a beautiful home! It was immaculate and very inviting. It was very accommodating for the eight of us. The four grandchildren loved the game room and the pool! When they played the games you could hear them hooting and hollering with excitement! The furnishings were lovely and very comfortable. The mattresses were wonderful! Sipping coffee out on the porch in the early morning was delightful. Making s’mores around the campfire at night was so much fun. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. All eight of us could sit at the table together to enjoy dinner. It was a wonderful stay in this beautiful home!

The host reached out a few hours before check-in to let us know the property needed a little additional time to be cleaned following the previous guests. This was not an issue for us, as it did not interfere with our plans or overall timing.However, members of our party arrived before I did and found that the kitchen surfaces needed to be cleaned before use. While frustrating, we initially considered this a minor inconvenience. We always check the beds when traveling, and unfortunately, the sheets in the master bedroom were visibly dirty and had to be stripped and washed by us before we could use the bed. Considering the premium price of the property, having to clean the kitchen and do laundry upon arrival was disappointing and not something we expected to have to do while on vacation, especially after being told additional time was needed to properly clean the property.Aside from the cleanliness concerns, the property was, at surface level, as described in the listing. The host was also responsive when we experienced an issue with the door leading to the pool, which we appreciated.Overall, I think this property has a lot of potential, but I would strongly recommend that the owners reevaluate their current cleaning service and quality-control process between guests. At this price point, guests should be able to arrive and feel confident that the home, particularly the kitchen, floors and bedding, has been thoroughly cleaned and is ready for their stay.

We did reach out to let you know there was a possibility the property would be ready late as the guests before you did a significant amount of damage to the property - repairs were needed as well as extra cleaning - but we did end up having it ready by the 4pm check-in time! I do wish you had sent photos or even let us know during your stay about the cleaning issues you reported, as we would have been happy to send someone out to address them right away, if we had known before reading your review. We strive to provide a 5-star experience for all of our guests, and will definitely take all feedback into consideration and use it to continually improve our property and guest experience!

We’re not a big management company. When you stay with us, you’re cared for by real people who genuinely love hospitality. Jessie is one of the most responsive and guest-focused people you’ll ever meet, and we take pride in making sure your stay feels effortless from booking to checkout.

Our mission is simple: to create spaces where families and friends can make lifelong memories. We’re constantly improving — adding new features, upgrading appliances, and finding ways to make each home even better month after month.
