- Events that exceed the maximum number of guests or require supervision are not allowed.

*The elevator is residential grade and may occasionally experience disruptions. Our staff will do all we can to repair any issues and get the elevator functional again. However, if an elevator repair tech/Company is needed repair times can extend several days due to our remote location. Our second stay at this property

We really enjoy this house. The pool is helpful for the younger kids, especially late in the day when everyone is tired.

Excellent condition, layout of property is perfect. Everything needed in kitchen was there. Easy contact with property management for couple of minor details. Location ideal. Easy access to beach direct from house.

Week retreat

The perfect, spacious getaway with direct access to a virtually empty beach.. the soft white sand and sunrises and sunsets. It's our second year here and we hope to return! The upstairs master facing the ocean was a selling point for us, and the peaceful privacy there.

Great house for our stay. We shared this place with friends; 9 of us total, 5 being kids and this house fit us nicely. Between the cut and the community pool, so the location is great. Very short distance to the water makes beach setup easier. Pool under the house is a great place to hide from the sun. Highly recommend!

Great house lousy WIFI

Enjoyed the house and beach! HOWEVER - WIFI connection was very spotty - providing internet connection maybe 10% of the time, a bit in AM and a bit in the PM. And, pool was too cold to use 😒

Mark, We do appreciate the feedback on your experience at Casa De Chill. It can be a challenge to get consistent WIFI on St. George Island, with it being an Island. However, we are so glad you enjoyed the home, the Island, and its beauty!

Location is great, house needs cleaning

While we enjoyed our overall stay at Casa de Chill, the house did not appear to have been cleaned very well prior to our arrival. The sheets on several beds appeared to have been slept in and you could feel sand in them. One of the bathroom shower curtains was covered in mold, and the very first morning we found two live cockroaches in the pantry. We did our own housecleaning and moved on with our week. The house has some wear and tear which is understandable with its location and heavy use. Emails and messages we sent with questions prior to our arrival were never responded to and at no point during the week were we contacted to see how everything was going. Regardless, we enjoyed our time together as a family. Being right on the beach is wonderful. Having a small pool at the house was also enjoyed by the kids. There was a nice supply of umbrellas and chairs and some beach toys as well. The beds were comfortable so we slept well and the A/C worked great so we stayed cool when escaping the summer sun. We would stay here again if cleaning was a bit more thorough.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect beach getaway for me and my family with young kids. The beach was perfect for finding wonderful shells, tidal pools for the kids to play, and the water was refreshing and exactly what we hoped for. The beach paths for bikes was another highlight of staying on the plantation. We would absolutely love to stay again. An idyllic place to relax, unwind, watch beautiful sunrises and see wild dolphins in the water every morning.

Wonderful house on the beach

We have spent several years at SGI and this house had everything. The main floor bedroom worked perfect for elderly parents who weren’t as mobile. The master on the top floor is huge and had fantastic views of the ocean. The other two rooms were nice sized with a king in one and Beds for three in the other. The elevator made unloading a breeze and grocery delivery upstairs easy. The house had two paddle boards, a kayak, life jackets, even a few beach chairs, umbrellas and games. The pool while not huge was plenty big enough to cool off and take a break from the saltwater. All in all a great house that had the water toys and was generously stocked with all the amenities you would need. Would definitely recommend and return. The only complaint was the weather…..we had plenty of rain showers the week we were there, but that’s Florida.

Great Potential

A few repairs and upgrades could take this property from Good to Wonderful. Exterior could use some pressure washing and rust repair to improve first impression. The Internet dropped out often which may be why I could not get the communication device to work. A comment sheet would have been good just in case. One of the 3rd floor sliding door blinds was damaged and could not be opened without help to roll up straight. Nearly all curtains were too long and laid on the floor. Shower Drain on the second floor drained slowly. Garbage cans were overflowing from Sunday arrival until Tuesday. Elevator was great, but outer door hinges were bent on each floor, causing doors to stick and most elevator indicator lights did not work. For every little nit-picky defect there were dozens of things that were great. Just needs a better way to leave written suggestions so they don't end up here.

Needs Some TLC

This house was on a lovely street with a beautiful oceanfront view. However, upon entering, the house appeared dirty and in need of repairs. The floors were very sandy and the loveseat was broken. My daughter who was pregnant sat down and the seat hit the floor. Fortunately, she was ok. While maintenance was sent to take a look, It was never fixed nor replaced during our stay. This limited our seating tremendously. There was an army of ants in the kitchen. They did come out and spray for that. The pool is under the house and not heated. If you plan to go during cooler weather, it is useless. On a more positive note, there are tons of beach toys, kayaks and bikes. If we ever go back to St. George, I’ll will not be staying in this home.

Review of Casa de Chill

Great layout and very functional. A little tired furnishings but is dog friendly so not unexpected. No blender and hot tub did not work. Elevator was not easy to use. The property had more beach equipment than listed—that was nice!

Nice home that needs some love.

While a lovely house with good bones, this house needs some love and is showing its age. From broken furniture, the moldy shower caulking to kitchen cabinets + drawers in disrepair. Housekeeping needed some help with dried food on the deck tables, and stained place mats. And I wouldn't call the floors cleaned well as the paper towels were grey after cleaning up a spill early in the week. Also, it would have been nice to have patio furniture on the top porch as pictured in the listing. With that said, there was an abundance of beach toys, the A/C worked great, the pool was clean and the grounds are immaculately kept.

Wonderful house, we had a wonderful week staying there. This house was ideal for a large family to spread out and we loved being right on the beach. Lots of nice extras like the use of paddle boards and beach chairs, etc.

Beautiful beach and great layout of house. It needs so repair and updating. Plumbing issues in kitchen, pull down screens door shade was duct taped to the roller and the entire shad fell during the night. Refrigerator has rust on outside and ice maker barely worked. We really enjoyed our stay though. Great spot

Thank you for your feedback, Jerry! We really appreciate it. The new fridge had been ordered before COVID and was then on back order for a long time. It arrived the week after you stayed. We wish we could have gotten it there sooner so you could enjoy it. We are glad you were able to enjoy the new dishwasher that made it just in time before your arrival. The plumbing issue under the kitchen sink was a pipe that was knocked loose. You know how things get banged around under kitchen sinks. It was fixed the day of your departure. Family vacation

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We cooked most of our meals at the house and the kitchen is very well stocked making this a pleasant experience. All the beds were very comfortable. The elevator made the unloading and loading so much easier. The ocean view from the house was beautiful. And it only took a few steps to get to the beach! This house helped make a relaxing and enjoyable vacation with the family!

We loved the house. It was well equipped. When we had problems the vrbo people were great.

We have been renting properties on St. George Avenue and 30 years. This was one of the best properties and the people who handle problems were great. We did have some problems with the elevator and they responded quickly and corrected them. Thank you for letting us share your house. We did our best to clean up after we left. We did have four dogs and they were all well behaved. I want to thank the owners for letting us share their house. Your choice of people to handle your property was a good one. We have stayed at several houses in St George and Casa de Chill has been the nicest one yet. The house was very clean, comfortable, and loaded the extras. Really enjoyed the kayak, paddle boards, beach chairs, and bikes. House has everything great overall experience. Loved it !!!

Great House and Management

Just returned from SGIP - our favorite beach. Can't say enought about Carla and Roxanne with Managementl Company they aim to please and always go the extra mile. You'll be in good hands renting from them. Casa de Chill is a great house that has comfortable beds and lots of super soft towels. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked, almost overstocked! Everything you could need and plenty of it. Having an elevator is great for arriving and departing days - it worked great and was easy to use. There are several games for rainy days and books to read while you chill on the beach or deck. We always take our beach gear but I have to mention the house had more beach chairs, floats, toys etc than any house I've stayed in, and they looked to be new/or in good condition. There was starter supplies of kitchen papers and plastics. Plenty of trash bags, laundry detergent and soap at all sinks & tubs. We loved the screen porch and the beautiful views from the master balcony. The pictures don't do the pool and the sitting area around it justice. It was a very nice area and the pool is bigger than it looks. I would rent this house again because it is comfortable, it has more than one would expect in a rental AND it is in a beautiful location. So many nice touches like welcome gifts when you arrive. And when its time to leave (you won't want to) don't worry about making a pot of coffee and rushing to wash the pot and cup before you leave - just grab a kcup (there were 4) and a to go cup (yes, they even provide a few to go cups) and take it with you! Such a nice touch that had me leaving with a smile. Thank you to the owner and Carla for a great vacation!

Casa de Chill did not disappoint!

We recently stayed at Casa de Chill for 4 days. Located in the "Plantation", at the western end of St. George Island, the beauty and solitude were first rate. A beautiful 50-foot rustic boardwalk connects the two level home to the beach, and the sounds and sight of the ocean are clear from the covered deck and the back porch. The water was temperate, and the waves were great for body surfing and boogie boarding. The privacy was unbelievable....we literally had the beach to ourselves. And when the sun became a bit too much for our little ones, we just transitioned to the shaded pool located under the deck. We had a total of 6 guests, but the occupancy could have doubled comfortably. The "kids room" has a bunk bed and an additional single bed....could probably have slept 5 kids without trouble. The master suite on the top floor is really outstanding. King bed that faces the ocean with an attached balcony. Spacious open bathroom complete with a huge tub. Great way to wake up in the morning! And a fully functional elevator is available for older family members or wheelchair needs. The property was very neat and well-maintained. The kitchen is open and organized with all the basic necessary amenities. The utility closet downstairs contains all sorts of toys and games for the beach, in addition to several bicycles. The Plantation has a great bike path, which was nice for exercise as well as accessing the community tennis courts and pools, both of which were included as part of the stay. The island has a few local shops and restaurants, and if you are feeling a little more adventurous, Apalachicola is about a 15 minute drive. This quaint fishing community has had a revival of sorts with restaurants, gift and artisan shops, bars and a bit of a Bohemian flavor. At any rate, we can't say enough about our stay on St. George Island. It was an ideal escape from our busy lives, and we will soon be back to the Casa de Chill.
