Everything was better than expected. My only request would be to have a broom or sweeper to maintain the cleanliness during our stay. Beautiful property ! We really enjoyed the deer every evening. Kept us entertained.

Beautiful property tucked in off a side street in Wimberley. Had a great stay. Just a note that the beds are super high and it was difficult for my mom to get into the bed, even though there was a step next to the bed. We had to add a chair for her to step onto from the step. She is 91 years old and we were afraid she might fall, but she did ok. In addition, the second floor, really only has one bedroom. The other one is like a game room turned into a bedroom, therefore, there is no door. All the rooms were room, nice living room, and kitchen. Overall, very nice.

The location was so peaceful and quiet. We loved sitting on the back porch, having good conversation and lots of laughs, with the other couples who came with us! We cooked 2 meals, and had everything we needed to cook with. I would definitely come back again!!

This was a beautiful home, very clean and well stocked with essential kitchen items, games and books on local history. The river is hands down the best part of the huge yard that’s full of deer at dusk and dawn. We will return to this property again and had an amazing experience!!

Lovely Location in Need of some TLC

**THE GOOD:** The home was easy to find, the riverfront setting was lovely, and watching the deer gather each evening was a highlight of our stay. The beds were comfortable, and there was ample seating for our group. **SOME TLC NEEDED:** Unfortunately, the home fell short when it came to cleanliness, maintenance, and kitchen amenities. The kitchen was dirty upon arrival, and we found ourselves washing nearly everything before using it. Despite its generous size, the kitchen was surprisingly poorly stocked, and the interiors of all the drawers needed cleaning. There were also several maintenance issues. The range hood was not operational, one of the stove burners did not function properly, and the outdoor grill's ignition button was broken. Unfortunately, neither of the two provided lighters worked, either. Additionally, the windows were quite dirty, and none of the operable windows had screens. Given the beautiful surroundings, it would have been wonderful to open the windows and enjoy the fresh air without inviting insects inside. We stay in four to five vacation rentals each year and generally prefer booking through local property management companies, specifically to minimize cleanliness and maintenance concerns. Unfortunately, we encountered both during this stay. The home has a strong history of positive reviews, so we're hopeful our experience was simply an unfortunate exception. With some attention to cleaning, maintenance, and kitchen essentials, this property could offer a much better guest experience.

Casa Rio was the perfect place for our girls' weekend in Wimberley! The home was exactly as described in the VRBO listing—beautiful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Everything was exceptionally clean, organized, and well-appointed, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there were plenty of spaces both inside and outside the home to relax, visit, and unwind. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. The labeled drawers and cabinets made it so easy to find everything we needed, which was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall convenience of our stay.Thank you for providing coffee for us to enjoy each morning. One of our favorite parts of the trip was sitting on the porch with a fresh cup of coffee, watching the deer and their babies wander by while taking in the peaceful surroundings. The property is wonderfully quiet and secluded, with a picturesque view of the river that made for a truly relaxing getaway.Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay, and we always felt well-informed and taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Wimberley, and Casa Rio was the perfect home base for making special memories together. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful Hill Country retreat.

Excellent house. Very clean, seems to be fairly new, very well stocked kitchen with cooking equipment and utensils, nice propane BBQ grill, beautiful huge pecan trees making lots of shade. Everyone in our family (6 adults, 2 kids) totally loved this property. We would definitely stay here again.
