This was a fine place to stay. We arrived very late & left fairly early the next morning so it worked. It is extremely small but the have set up a nice desk area for work. It is also a very old building.
It was a great overnight getaway. Checking in/out was simple and efficient and the room was as promised. I had absolutely zero issues and I will definitely rent again!!!!!!!!
Property was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Street parking right out front was handy and very reasonable. Will definitely stay here.again if the occasion arises.
Owner is very responsive and place was updated nicely and very clean. Parking on street in front was easy (street was deserted around 7pm on Friday evening - made me nervous at first as a single woman but all was fine and area isn't sketch as it may seem at first). The sitting area and small kitchen were sufficient (no stove but 2 burner plug-in provided). The shower was hot with good water pressure. Easy walk to downtown or Adams street for nightlife and food. Bed was very comfortable and the room darkening curtains were helpful. Entire building is 4 rental units and the hallway is VERY echoey and the old wooden doors have rather large gaps under them and rattle if someone closes their door too hard or slams the front door - which happened over and over until 4am our first night there! The listing clearly says no parties and quiet hours from 11pm, but there was no enforcement of this unfortunately. Our neighbors had loud music, people coming/going, slamming doors, smoking pot, making so much noise that we couldn't sleep. Messaged Matthew the next morning (wish we would've tried sooner) and he told us that "he received an alert from his noise detection device around 3am". Is there even such a thing?? I told him I was surprised it took until 3am to receive an alert when quiet hours begin at 11pm and the noise had been happening since well before 3! He said "they may have tampered with device." No offer of any consolation amount or anything. Doubt I would stay here again. :(
Beautiful historic home in convenient Baltimore location
I used this home to host my wedding party for a Baltimore wedding. The property easily and comfortably accommodated all of my guests and made the weekend more enjoyable. We had plenty of space to get ready and to sit and socialize together. We also took wedding pictures inside the home and on the street - they turned out amazing! Highly recommend. The hosts were also very easy to work with and accommodated an early check in request so that we could get settled in the property before wedding festivities began. Excellent stay overall!
Great for an overnight- would be lovely for someone in town for business
I was in town for an event and stayed one night with a friend. It was nice and modern, nice natural light from windows during the day and blackout curtains for night. Walking distance from lots of places to eat and downtown. Lovely desk area for doing work, if I was ever in town working remotely I'd come back to this place!
Be aware that the front doors to the units do not completely seal, some have large gaps, which means everyone throughout the building/hallway can hear whatâs happening in your room. Aside from that, the property itself was nice and clean with no issues.
dog hair all over our clothes were covered with dog hair and we hear dogs for hours after we got there barking and howling gave me a migraine, did not enjoy that
The property is in the middle of the city, which was what we were looking for, but unfortunately, it didnât seem to be very safe. It was hard to find the entrance despite attempting to reach out to the manager three times. I never got any information back. Eventually, we were able to find the front door and get in. The space was clean, but the building is definitely dated so the shower and tub were pretty old and kind of gross. Overall, it suited the needs for the one night we needed to stay there.
I was not able to check-in to this property. Upon arrival, there were random people sitting around and loitering in the stairwell. At the unit itself, it appeared that someone tried to repair the front door but it was not done correctly because the latch and lock would not close securely. On the way back to the car, two men followed and kept eyes on me as I drove off. There may be restaurants nearby but I didn't see any from the unit and the neighborhood is not walkable. I also could not leave my rental car parked here. This is one of the most threatening places I have seen. It wasn't cheap either. And Expedia has it classified as "Exceptional." It is anything but. I felt incredibly misled and put in harm's way unnecessarily. After contacting the host and Expedia through the feedback portal, I received no follow-up from either. I also contacted vrbo but was put on hold. I ended up scrambling for alternate accommodations and filing a chargeback complaint with my credit card company. The situation remains unresolved.
Property host Matthew was great. Prompt communication. I stayed in Unit D on the 3rd floor. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. As advertised. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
