Discover the hidden gem that is Casa de Emdeko! We warmly invite you to stay in our peaceful and stylish home-away-from-home. We lovingly remodeled the entire unit using modern design principles with a touch of tropical style. Combined with the natural tranquility and welcoming vibe of Casa, we have created a peaceful haven where you can relax and recharge in a comfortable oasis.

The modern aesthetic and original art make this unit truly one of a kind. The kitchen is equipped with marble countertops and all the amenities. Bathroom with a glass enclosure and artisan-tiled shower with luxury fixtures. Bedroom features a California king bed, soft lighting, and large TV. Livingroom has large windows that look out onto the garden, 55” TV, and relaxed seating. A/C and wifi throughout. We love learning about Hawaiian culture and the natural history of the islands, and have a small library of books for you to enjoy on your stay, along with maps and guidebooks.

The covered lanai is a comfortable and private place to sit and watch the sunrise over Hualalai and listen to the birds. There is comfortable seating for dining or relaxing. Step off of the lanai into a beautifully landscaped garden and stroll down to the ocean where you can lounge in the sun and watch the waves (and the dolphins!). The oceanfront saltwater pool is truly magical, and you can often watch humpback whales breaching while you take a dip. There is also a freshwater pool steps from the door, as well as community BBQ grills and cabana. The sunsets here are amazing.

One of our favorite things about Casa is its convenience. You will be close to it all: 1.4 miles north are the restaurants and coffee shops of Old Kailua town, and only 2 miles to the South are Magic Sands Beach and Kahalu'u Beach Park, with swimming, bodyboarding, sunbathing, snorkeling, and sea turtles. Head a little further south and you are in the middle of the Kona coffee belt and some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world. For a day trip, head south to the Volcano or north to the resort areas of the Kohala Coast.

*Please note that this complex has frequent temporary water shut offs. There will be no compensation for water shut offs.
*The OCEAN POOL will be temporarily closed from 5/13-5/15/25 for a concrete surface issue. The garden pool will remain open.
*Complex AC will be shut down from 9:00 AM on Monday, June 9th estimated to be back on by 5:00 PM on Friday, June 13th.

Lovely property in a great location!

Very nice, well appointed condo. Great amenities on site, including gas grills we took advantage of. Parking inside the gate is limited but there is ample parking just outside the gate. The beach area here was perfect for watching the sunset. Highly recommend!

Beautiful comforting condo

We would recommend this property to friends and family. Air conditioning worked excellent throughout every room. And when we returned after a day out of the condo, it stayed cool even though we turned air off. Bed super firm and comfortable, just watch out for bed frame corners. We hit them a few times and it hurts. Condo was really clean. Towels were nice and soft. Liked the soaps and toiletries! Lots of ice and ice packs. Bring your own small ice chest- there was only a large one. I did buy a beach umbrella and left it in the bedroom closet. Glad there were beach chairs! Furniture just ok. Couch not very comfy. Pool was steps away and 2nd pool near ocean was a short walk. Loved seeing the sunset from the pool area. Day parking inside the gate was plentiful but evening parking you do have to park outside the gated complex but there was always plenty of parking so not a big deal. Many books and games inside condo and some books outside condo to borrow if you need. Everything in the condo worked great and easy to use. Super happy with this lovely condo!

Somewhat old but well maintained. Never saw or communicated with that person. Smaller of two pools needs maintenance on bottom in shallow end. Looks to be peeling off.

Good location

This condo was nice and very quiet for sleeping at night. Very convenient for restaurants and groceries. The air conditioning was throughout the condo, not just one unit which kept it cool. I would recommend this unit for a couple.

Great Stay in Kona

On the water! Pretty close to strip of restaurants and shops. Very clean and has a well appointed kitchen. Slight musty smell due to the age of the property but overall a very comfortable stay. Parking was easy even if we had to park outside the gates. We purchased a Target comforter though since there was only a sheet and light cotton bedcover on the bed.

Kona coast stay

Beautiful location, saltwater pool right beside ocean- ahhhh. Nicely updated suite with nice touches throughout. The little thoughtful extras were much appreciated! Grounds are well maintained and the location was nice and quiet. Would return to this place again!

Great Place But....

I love this complex. My husband and I have stayed in two different units here. By far, this was the loveliest - easy access to the pool, comfortable lounge furniture, roomy bathroom - with a double sink! My only challenge here was the lack of oil, salt, pepper, etc, any type of essentials for the kitchen! Yes -including the coffee filters. :/ This has never happened to us. I love to cook so this was a major challenge for us. Besides that, we loved the place.

5-night stay

The condo is beautiful, and well-decorated with a well-appointed kitchen. It is quite spacious, with new linens, etc. The grounds are nice, and the pool was lovely. My husband enjoyed the saltwater pool but it was closed for maintenance after our first day. Parking was fine as there is an overflow lot just outside the gates - easy to use. Our stay within the condo was mixed though. At first glance it seemed clean... but as soon as I took off my shoes I realized that the floor was quite dirty. While my husband was out I helped myself to some swiffer wet cloths that were in the closet - it took 6x of them to clean the floors. During my cleaning I found a small dead cockroach in the lower bathroom cupboard. It is the tropics, and obviously bugs are part of the equation, but it felt like the cleaning crew had completely forgotten about anything below ankle height. That night I found another small one wandering the hall (trapped it, and my husband set it free) so I contacted the management company. I received a response right away and a call the next day. The lady I spoke with apologized and indicated that she'd have someone on site come in to set traps and possibly clean the floor. When we got back later in the day the trap was in place but they hadn't cleaned the floor. All in all I hope that it was simply a slip-up by the cleaning crew. The owners put a lot of care into their renovation so hopefully this was a one-off.

PERFECT

We've stayed in several vacation rentals, on most of the Hawaiian Islands and this one was the best. The master bedroom is quiet and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and beautiful. The kitchen is beautiful, as is the rest of the apartment. The a/c works really well, the aesthetic is lovely, the lanai is comfy and cute... I even liked the choice of art in the apartment. Outside, both pools are great. We used the saltwater one the most, as it was warm and we could watch the sunset from the water. Residents gather at the seawall every night to watch the sunset and blow the conch shells. The lanai attached to the apartment is clean, comfy and the cutest one in the building. Location wise, it was perfect. Minutes into town, minutes to Captain Cook, minutes to restaurants, beaches, snorkel spots and coffee farms. My husband and I agreed that of all the places we've stayed in Hawaii (other than, perhaps, Kona Village, where we got married and spent our honeymoon 22 years ago), this place is hands-down the nicest.

Nice Condo in a Lovely Complex

The condo was clean and nicely equipped. We were not aware that the bedroom faced the elevator and therefore could not open the window. The main room and kitchen faced the garden and lanai. The washer/dryer in the unit did not work, so we were lucky to use the laundry room in the complex. The complex itself is lovely, with two pools and gorgeous landscaping.

Great stay in beautiful apartment

The apartment is fantastic: beautifully designed and decorated, it is perfect for your vacation on Big Island. Kona is just a few minutes away by car, otherwise you can take the trolley or even walk to town. I wish we could have stayed longer.
