Very well appointed beach home located right across from the beach with direct access. Features include; 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, open and screened porches overlooking the beach, PRIVATE POOL, fish cleaning sink and more. NO SMOKING, NO PETS. Amenities: 3 Cable TV's, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, Microwave, Outside Shower, Grill and more.

Suncoast Vacation Rentals offers a wide selection of beach homes and cottages on St. George Island ranging from one to eight bedrooms. Our rates are some of the most competitive on the island, for which we provide nice beach homes for an affordable price. All of our beach homes have televisions with cable and DVD/VCR's. The location was great. It was a great space for two. I would have preferred a secure WiFi vs. the open channel. Did not want to do any banking or sensitive data emails. That said we would book this property again.

Relaxing visit to St. George

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first time to St. George & hopefully not our last. Enjoyed the view of the Gulf from the top floor living area. House is clean & as shown in pictures. King in master could be replaced as it slopes. While it was only 2 of us we did notice that there is only sitting for 5 in the living room although the house is advertised for accommodating more. One recommendation is if you cannot verify elevator has been repaired do not use. We sent it up from ground to 2nd floor for a test run before loading. It got stuck at 2nd floor. We called the office to see if there was an emergency key & was told if there was they did not know where it was & probably shouldn’t be using it. I mentioned there was nothing in the rules or a sign saying not to. It’s a long way up w/luggage & food. We were thankful we had not put anything in it. The a/c stopped working as well as the water heater on the first day. Called the office & they scheduled a/c repair immediately & plumber for next. A/c needed Freon & water heater needed new element. We were good to go after that w/no more issues.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a overall great time. We love SGI and staying in the plantation. We did have a few issues with bugs (flying ants? And roaches) the kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms were lacking dressers to put your clothes and the kids closet was packed full of junk so you couldn’t use it if you wanted to. The living room furniture has definitely seen better days it’s very stained we covered it with blankets we found before letting the kids on it. Location to the beach was great being a row back you weren’t far at all from the public boardwalk.

Great house, but needs some maintenace for us to return

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd stay at this rental. We love the overall house and pool. They have updated the furniture in the living area since last year. The pool needs a lot of attention. The deck is cracking, and the gunite surface is as ruff as 80 grit sand paper. Our feet were torn up by using the pool daily, to the point we had to stop to heal. The pool chairs and loungers are broken, cracked, and dangerous.The elevator is also a huge problem. It sounds like it could break at any moment. We don't allow people to use it, only to move luggage up and down. When leaving, we had to reset the circuit breaker to get it working again, with some luggage trapped inside.We will not return to this property until the pool and elevator have been addressed.

A long drive on the plantation

We stay on St Georgia Island every year for the seafood festival from a Friday to a Monday usually I only stay there from a Friday to a Sunday the location was very far and it was a long drive in town I don't think I can stay on the plantation anymore

Home in desperate need of updates

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this home a few times over the years and there has not been one change. The Mattresses are old and uncomfortable. The TV's in the bedrooms do not work. The furniture is over 10 plus yrs old. The only reason to stay their is for the beach. The kitchen amenities are lacking as well. During our stay the HVAC stopped cooling, but at least they were able to add coolant to get it working again. We came back from the beach and someone was working on the pool so not able to use it. Just think twice before renting this home. The location is the only reason to rent it.

Has potential but unfortunately some major flaws

Let me preface by saying my comments by saying I own a rental property in north Georgia mountains so I can look at this from both sides as a renter and someone who rents their property. We booked this property in March and unfortunately there were no reviews (red flags). Ok, maybe a new property to the site. Pros: Quiet, nice low traffic area of island Close beach access Pool Deck has ocean views Cons: If they put some nominal money into this place they could garner repeat renters and probably charge more. Specifically, the 3 things that need the most details are: 1) Beds-really really bad. Big sags in mattresses. Probably haven’t been replaced in 15 + years. Nothing leaves a bad taste in a renters mouth than a horrible night sleep while on vacation. Please spend the 1-2K to do this. 2) carpeting in bedrooms (just gross and dirty). I walked in shoes at all times. Could replace easily with tile. 3) sofas in living room. Cloth and stained. We throw blankets atop it but honestly, buy something off a marketplace. The home could use other updating but this isn’t a deal breaker. Dirty sofas /carpet and horrible beds are a deal breaker. We came home a night early as we wanted to sleep. Hope this helps the owner with some constructive feedback and also other potential renters.
