take hwy 130 south from Cloudcroft for 2 miles
Turn RIGHT on Hwy 6563, the Sunspot Hwy travel 15 miles
instead of turning right to enter Sunspot,
veer to Left towards Timberon. Travel 15 miles on Sacramento River Road.
enter Timberon on paved Sacrament Drive. The road will come to a T in front of Airstrip,
Turn RIGHT on Sacramento
turn RIGHT on the 3rd street to the RIGHT at the High Country Lounge sign, this is Pleasand Valley Drive.
Travel 1 block turn Right on Paradise Valley Drive,
Turn left at first street to the left, this is Oakmont Ct, go past restaurant to the parking areas by the condominiums.
units 1 and 2 are closer to the north parking area
units 3 and 4 are closer to the south (golf course) parking area. The wheel chair ramp is located on the south side of the building.

Welcome to the newly remodeled Timberon Cabin named Billy the Kid. Come and relax at the most peaceful spot on the mountains. It has been fully furnished with all the kitchen utensils, spices, dishes, pots & pans you will need. We supply all the bed linens, towels, cleaning supplies you will need. We supply dishwasher, dish & laundry soap. We supply some firewood for your fireplace, additional firewood can be purchased from the site manager. We have plenty of parking for your atv & off road vehicles. We can supply you with information on great atv trails in the area. We are located right on the golf course. You are allowed to use your atv or side by side as a golf cart, as long as you stay on the cart paths. We are just a few hundred feet from the stock trout pond. Bring your poles & New Mexico State fishing license. We do have Way out West Mercantile for your basic groceries. Best option is to bring all the groceries you need for you stay from Alamogordo or Artesia. We do have a beer & wine fridge in each unit & there is a package store at the High Country Lounge, just a block away. Connie's Deli, has great homemade pizza, fresh salad, daily specials, hot/cold sandwiches & delicious desserts. It is open Tuesday to Saturday. High Country Lounge serves food from the grill with a variety of appetizers & meals. We don't have a gas station in Timberon. Don't forget to bring the gas you will need for your 4 wheelers with you, closest station is Alsups in Cloudcroft. Just a few rules: check in 4pm, call to see if we can accommodate an early check in check out is 11am. We have a secure area for dropping off your luggage. Absolutely no smoking in the cabin. DON'T try to remove ashes from the Fireplace, our manager will clean the fireplaces & remove ashes. Please respect our other guests, quiet hours after 10pm.
Do not flush baby wipes, diapers, small kittens, puppies, hopes & dreams down the toilet. Leave your stress in the city and enjoy a relaxing visit in the mountains.
