The Nature House is a perfect mix of charm and location!
Historic home located in downtown Madison. Walking distance to all the shops, dining, riverfront, and the bridge to KY. The house is clean and beautifully decorated. Perfect for couples or groups. Modern kitchen with all the amenities you will need. Beautiful deck and patio out back with comfortable furniture and a fully fenced yard for enjoying the view or hanging out. The decor was inspired by Mother Nature and each room is decorated with gorgeous animal prints. Three bedrooms with comfortable mattresses for a good nights sleep. An office for work that also has a convertible couch for additional sleeping arrangements. Smart TVs, free WIFI, games and books provided. Free off-street parking and a space for a golf cart rental. Perfect location for all the downtown dining and shopping, the Regatta, festivals, walks along the riverfront, and hiking Clifty Falls State Park.
Perfect home for our family to gather. Great proximity to Madison and Cliff Falls.House was super clean, beds were comfy, and everything was provided that might be needed.Jen was a terrific communicator during the process. We loved our time at The Nature House!
We lived out stay. Our family stayed for a wedding and the location was great. The house was clean and instructions were perfect! Would definitely stay again
The house was very clean, comfortable and well stocked, including a supply of coffee and snacks. Location was great for walking to the downtown area, as well as the river park. Would definitely stay here again!
This was a delightful property, very clean, and super cute! We came to Madison to hike Clifty Falls. The weather for hiking was dreary and very wet, which made this home feel all the more cozy. Would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are traveling with kids.
This property is exactly as advertised. What a great location for downtown Madison and Clifty Falls. Being pet friendly was the icing on the cake! Everything was perfect.
This is a great property. Especially for animal lovers. Comfy beds. Well appointed kitchen. Coffee and treats provided. Less than an hour drive to Churchill downs
The property was beautiful. The house was amazing and unique. It was a nice walk to get to the stores and restaurants (might be too long for some, but for our group it was good).
The neighborhood was nice, neighbors, too. We felt safe and welcome.
Planned this trip for my mom's 60th birthday. She wanted a place where we could all stay together and that was within walking distance of shops, restaurants, etc. This house exceeded our expectations!
The house itself was clean, well stocked, and had extra amenities we did not anticipate. There was even a small cheesecake and candles waiting for us. Definitely appreciated the thoughtfulness and attention to detail.
The house was quiet, charming and well decorated. We had 4 adults and 3 teens staying so the game room was a nice touch to keep them busy. Rock garden wasnt enough for the dogs to run around, but was quiet and serine to sit outside in. The local coffee and breakfast items were delicious and much appreciated. The beds were very comfortable too.
At no fault to the owners, we didn't like that it was located on a curve since cars from the south would speed by. Even though it is located next to a busy road, there was no noise pollution from vehicles. All the neighbors were incredibly friendly and it was very close to downtown, shopping. Coffee and restaurants.
We would definitely stay here again!
The location is excellent for walkability to bridge, river & cafes & shops. Also just for walking the nearby blocks looking at beautiful historic homes. The house is clean, comfortable, fully stocked & the beds so comfortable my sister & I slept like the dead. All the bedrooms are upstairs & nicely appointed as well as the upstairs sitting room. The upstairs full bathroom is nice (although I did bump my knee when I slipped climbing into the tub to shower, the sides are high & the inside slippery, but I am clumsy so Iâm not blaming the tub, just forewarning other accident prone people.)
Other positives: nice kitchen stocked with supplies, large dining room table, convenient half bath downstairs so you donât have to run up & down stairs too much, clean basement with washer & dryer, back porch with comfortable sitting places to enjoy while overlooking a cute courtyard with a fire pit. Lovely decorations, the addition of a window unit in upstairs bedroom helped me sleep better because Iâm sensitive to heat, although the home is historical it was still comfortable temperature wise as we were there when it was hot & muggy in August. We had family that would stop in for short visits & they were all impressed by how nice the home was.
Negatives: door code was hard to see in dark of storm, convenient otherwise;
We will want to stay here again!
We just wanted to get out of town away from the hustle and bustle of city lifeâŠthis was the place!!! Close to âtownâ so if we needed anything it was easy to get and even though the house sits further down on the Main Street, it wasnât noisy with traffic. Backyard was perfect for our pooches and Connect Four kept the kids busy for longer than we thought it would! Great time hiking at Clifty Falls Park, although a bit chilly still.
We had a great time and the house was warm and inviting!
Traveling with both senior parents and young children, this house worked out very well as a home base for the 8 of us who were visiting local family and soaking up some "Madison". We had a lovely time.
Our family of four stayed for three nights during spring break. The home has everything we needed, including a fenced backyard for pets. Jennifer was a gracious host, and we enjoyed our stay. Its location allowed us to take nice walks in a historic residential neighborhood without getting in a car.
Out of town family stayed for family event. Beautiful home, clean, well managed, easy check in, great communication. Close to downtown for easy access to shopping, dining, local history. Highly recommend this property!!
The home is just as the posting suggests. It was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The river is a short walk away, and the home is conveniently located just off the downtown area.
The owners were very responsive to any needs that arose during our stay. I'll definitely consider staying here again!
This was a perfect location for our Regatta needs. The house looks exactly like the pictures show and was very clean. The hostess was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.
Beautiful home with well stocked coffee bar, snacks and toiletries! Great location with easy walkable access to shops, cafes and parks. Bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. A plus was the upstairs back porch and fire pit in the backyard. We also had use of the washer and dryer.
Madison is our favorite town in Indiana. I love hiking Clifty Falls State Park; it is my favorite place to hike with our dogs. My husband loves to fish the river. I love all the unique shopping and restaurants. We loved the historic nature of the house and filled it with beautiful artwork and decor inspired by nature. The driftwood pieces you will find in and around the house we collected from the riverfront.
