Great Stay at the Barton Farmhouse

We had a wonderful stay at the Barton Farmhouse! Beautiful house with a ton of charm, a great space for hosting our large gathering and an excellent location in Logan near all of our favorite hiking spots! We look forward to our next stay!

Beautiful Getaway

The Barton Farmhouse is gorgeous and we had such a wonderful stay! The house is charming inside and out and the land is perfect with everything you could need for a weekend away. The owners went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we need, including topping off the water each day during such a hot/dry season. They were easy to reach and respectful of our time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! It was perfect for our bachelorette party, good memories were made here!

Family Vacation

This was our first family vacation in years. My son and his wife were able to fly in from Texas to join us. Everything was wonderful and the kindness of Whitney made us feel right at home. From the firepit, patio areas, yard game, to the games inside the home really made it special. The home was so close to all the hiking. I would rent this home again.

Wonderful stay

Thank you for hosting. We absolutely loved the house and appreciated all the attention to detail in making the place cozy! Thank you also for looking into the smell we found. One thing to note is that we found that we were running out of water after taking 10 showers with it 4 hours. The water was turning a rusty color and lost most water pressure. We noticed the rules said not to attach slip n slides to the outside water spout because it might drain the cistern. Maybe add one more note to that rule to be conscious of showers all at once! We did not mind and it worked with our evening’s schedule. The water was back and running by the time we got home. Thanks for everything!

Thanks for the review, Samuel! Glad the smell just ended up being the plants outside haha. And thanks for letting us know about the water! That’s never happened before but I think when we have dry spells like this combined with a bunch of showers back to back it probably takes the cistern a minute to catch up. We’ll definitely plan on adding it as an FYI in our guestbook. Thanks so much for being awesome guests! Come back any time ♥️

The home was really heartfelt family orientation. Myself & my family had a great time!

We loved everyday spent at The Barton Farmhouse! From the time we arrived unpacking was very accessible. Long driveway to pull near the home, we stayed at the house the entire time! My family and I love to just be in the moment of “UNITY” and this house allowed us to do just that! Beautiful scenery, spacious home, everything was just right! Thank u for this great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barton Farmhouse!

The home is so comfortable (especially the beds!). The kitchen is well stocked and bright. The owners were quick to respond with any questions we had about our stay. The land is beautiful and peaceful. Our family truly enjoyed our time here.

Very nice country farm house.

The host was very accommodating with our stay. There was a very nice welcome bag that everyone enjoyed very much. It was very close to Old Man's Cave. This place was fully furnished. And looked nice and welcoming.

Hi! We're Whitney & Jordan and we own the Barton Farmhouse in Hocking Hills.

Over the past few years we’ve had many conversations about buying a vacation home to renovate and share with others, but we just couldn’t seem to find the right one. We love old houses, Victorian architecture and original woodwork, but all of those are typically hard to find in the Hocking Hills area. In the summer of 2021 we found the listing for the Barton Farmhouse and immediately knew we had to do everything in our power to get it. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property we were enchanted. Its wide-open, rolling yard was lush and green with strong old trees everywhere. The house felt bigger and more magnificent in person with so much character in every single room. In the master bedroom upstairs, we stepped out onto the balcony and saw the vast forest beyond the property where the sun puts on a show at sunrise every day. It’s an experience we will never forget and a decision we’re so happy we made.

In 2021 we renovated the entire house and focused heavily on making it feel comfortable and updated but still maintaining all of the old character and original elements of the house. We absolutely adore this place and we hope you will love it as much as we do!
