Longview Lodge offers homelike accommodations and expansive views across the beautiful rolling hills and valleys of Hocking Hills, OH and is minutes off SR33. Longview offers 5 spacious bedrooms, a sleeping loft, and 3 full baths for up to 16 guests and is perfect for families, groups, and retreats.

LOCATION + THINGS TO DO:
Conveniently located in Rockbridge, 3 minutes off SR33, with easy access to attractions throughout the Hocking Hills area. Within a few minutes drive pop into town for ice cream and shopping, stop by local Wineries, Breweries & Distilleries for a flight, or park at the nearby Lake Logan or trailheads for hiking at Cantwell Cliffs and Hocking Hills State Park.

NOTES:
-- Lodge is equipped with wifi but please be aware speed is slower so may be difficult to stream movies + games.
-- Ring Security cameras are mounted on the front exterior of the lodge to monitor the parking area. There are no cameras inside the lodge.
--If you have more than 16 guests, check-out the adjacent property Woodhaven Lodge which we co-host (VRBO Property #2705706 or https://www.vrbo.com/2705706). Combined, these two neighboring, yet private Lodges accommodate up to 32 overnight guests.

Nice cabin in a quite location

This was a nice cabin for our extended family of 12. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cook ware and thank goodness the air conditioning worked well as we were there during a heat wave. Everything was as expected. Cabins have squeaky floors and this one did as well. People sleeping in basement found it a little hard to sleep with people walking overhead.

Family fun!

Our family of 9 adults and 5 grandkids had a fun and relaxing long weekend at this great VRBO! We fished, went to a couple local hiking trails, a petting zoo, relaxed in the hot tub, sat around the fire and roasted s'mores, enjoyed chatting while sitting on the swings on the wraparound porch. We loved our stay and would definitely reserve this VRBO again. Thank you!

5 Star Stay

0 complaints and a 5 star stay all around. Very helpful and detailed check-in, check-out info provided in a timely manner. Great communication with the hosts. Lodge matched the listing to a t. Very clean and well kept, and was happily surprised to see how well it was stocked with necessities out of the gate (soaps, coffee filters, spices, utensils, other kitchen needs). Awesome space inside and out and our entire extended weekend stay was a blast. I was very worried about parking, as I saw some mentions in reviews before booking
 we had a group of 10 with everyone driving individually. 0 issues with parking. There was plenty. If someone had issues parking cars, that’s entirely on them and not reflective of the space.

Great family reunion location

We had the opportunity to stay at this great Lodge, and had a terrific time. The location is awesome, close to hiking trails, yet private and secluded. We had such a great time dining together, playing games, and making hot dogs by the fire. Terrific spot for family and friends!!

Fantastic Weekend with friends

We stayed here with a group of our friends and really enjoyed hanging around the fire pit, using the pool table, arcade machine, and the hot tub! We loved getting our own robe that was on each bed at check in. There is a great outdoor patio space for meals and morning coffee as well as a bench by the pond that was a good space for intentional talks with friends. The check in process was easy and the check out work was minimal! Will definitely be staying here again!

Cozy cottage

Our family of16 had an excellent stay. As soon as you walked through the door the house felt so cozy. This house had everything we needed, so very clean. Our host responded back to one of our questions within 5min. Thank you we had a great time, hiked and visited a lot of local attractions. Couldn't see everything on the trip we will definitely stay here again our family is already planning our next stay here!!!

Great Lodge beautiful scenic views

We had a great time at this lodge on our family vacation to Hocking Hills. This was very clean, beautiful and the owners were very responsive to any needs that you may have while you are there. The pond is great, sunsets are beautiful- we saw deer on the property- there were very few mosquitos if any at all. It was stocked with games, lots of blankets and pillows and was a great get away space. We highly recommend this location.

Not exactly luxury

Overall, an "OK" property. The cabin is in fair/decent condition but far from the luxurious retreat described in the listing. If being secluded is important, this might not be the best choice. It's very close to a populated road, and there is a nearby dog that barked for 12 hours straight throughout the night every night of our stay. The photos online make the place appear much bigger than it seemed in-person. The bedroom space is adequate but the common spaces/kitchen are too small for the amount of bedrooms.

We enjoyed our stay immensly, our only complaint is the mattress on the main floor has issues, the side by the window sinks in and is unconfortable to sleep on. Not sure if it is the mattress or the box spring. Thank you!

Wonderful Thanksgiving

What a great location! Just minutes from shopping if you forgot something. Winery 500 ft down the road. Our family has been to a few locations in Hocking we like this location the best! This is one of the best stocked cabins we have stayed in we didn’t need to bring half of the things we brought from Cincinnati. After talking it over with our family we will rent this cabin again. DZ.

Family Gathering

Our family of 12 gathered for a long weekend. The ages ranged from 82 - 3. We enjoyed the open main floor as well as the very spacious deck with plenty of outside seating and outside fireplace as well as fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We used the pool table in the basement as well as the hot tub which could sit up to four adults easily. We even caught a fish and saw a tadpole in the pond out back. The brewery was close and provided a nice trip away one evening but the kitchen allowed us to prepare all meals at the cabin. The robes were a nice added touch. Owners were easy to communicate with. We had a very nice time.

A little misleading

The property itself was very clean and it was nice, but it was significantly smaller than the photos made it seem. There were also some pots and pans that had been used and not been cleaned upon arrival and the landscaping was under construction and in some cases, posed as safety issues with small rails lining the walkways that many of us tripped over several times, thankfully no one was hurt. I would also state that the photos appeared to have more privacy than it did in actuality. Neighbors were clearly visible from the property on all sides. Overall, the property was nice, we just had much different expectations based on the photos.

Hocking hills fall trip

The house was nice overall! Loved the amount of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms. Plenty of space. There was a major leak in master bedroom coming through both windows before we arrived and upon check in the floors were soaked, along with the bed and the light was left unplugged. The owners were extremely responsive and sent a maintenance person out the next morning, but he didn’t appear to do/ fix anything. The beds were comfortable otherwise. We did cook breakfast during our stay and the pots were not clean, nor were they easy to cook with because everything stuck to the bottom of the pans. We appreciated the variety of kitchen utensils available, as well as the appliances. The tv remotes were missing batteries and we unfortunately didn’t pack any because we didn’t think we needed them, which was disappointing because we couldn’t use the tv in two rooms at all. The tv in the basement was a smart tv, so we could stream the football game through our account however the tv upstairs was not, which meant we couldn’t watch a big Ohio state game upstairs which would’ve been more convenient while we cooked/ate. Lastly we were shocked by the tight parking available for the amount of people that can stay there. We had only 3 vehicles, but I think it would’ve been hard to park any more than that in the driveway. Would recommend sharing restaurant recommendations for guests. We ate @ a local golf course Friday night which wasn’t very good. Would stay again if we ever visit the area again!
